三、语法

原因状语从句

原因状语从句是指在复合句中表示主句动作发生原因的句子。

（1）because 引导的原因状语从句

because 意思是“因为”，表示动作发生的直接原因，语气很强，常用来回答why引导的疑问句。

e.g. --- Why didn’t he go with us today? --- Because he was too tired.

  注：because 后面接从句; because of 后面接名词或名词短语。

e.g. We didn’t go camping because it rained heavily/ because of the heavy rain.

译：今天早上，我爸爸开车送我上学，因为我的自行车坏了。

（2）since和as引导的原因状语从句

since 意思是“既然，由于，因为”，表示已知的、显然的理由，较正式，多位于句首。

as 和since的用法大体相同，表示附带说明的“双方已知的原因 ”。与because相比，它们的语气稍弱。

译：既然时间已经不早了，我们得马上回家
