主语从句

一、主语从句的引导词

【先感悟】

诵读下列例句并感知加蓝部分的共性

①（教材典句）However，what concerned him most was that farmers often had poor harvests and sometimes even had a serious shortage of food to eat.

②（教材典句）How this could be done was a challenging question at the time.

③（教材典句）However，whether it was possible to develop a hybrid of self-pollinating plants such as rice was a matter of great debate.

④（教材典句）Today，it is estimated that about 60 percent of domestic rice consumption in China is comprised of crops generated from Yuan’s hybrid strains ...

⑤（教材典句）What impresses people most about Yuan Longping was his ongoing ability to fulfil his dreams.

⑥It is said that they will sing Beijing Opera at the Spring Festival Gala.

【会发现】

（1）以上从句都是　主语从句　。

（2）①⑤句中的what、 What在从句中作　主语　。

（3）②句中的How在从句中作　状语　。

（4）③句中的whether意为“　是否　”。

（5）④句和⑥句中的it、It是　形式主语　，真正的　主语　是后面that引导的从句。

【善归纳】

（1）连词that和whether在从句中不作任何句子成分，只起连接从句的作用。

That she survived the accident is a miracle.

她在事故中幸免于难简直是个奇迹。

Whether she will come or not is still a question.

她来不来仍是个问题。

whether引导的主语从句置于句首时，不可用if来替换。

（2）连接代词有who、 whom、 whose、 what、 which、 whoever、 whatever、 whichever等，在从句中作主语、宾语、表语或定语；连接副词有where、 when、 how、 why等，在从句中作状语。

who 引导的主语从句表示一件“事情”，而whoever引导的主语从句指“人”。

What she did is not yet known.

她干了什么尚不清楚。

How this happened is not clear to anyone.

这事怎样发生的，谁也不清楚。

Who will be sent to America has not been decided yet so far.

到目前为止，谁将被派往美国还没有决定。

Whoever comes is welcome.

不论谁来都欢迎。

Wherever you are is my home — my only home.

你在的地方就是我的家——我唯一的家。

【运用练】　完成句子

①她能来帮助我们使我们很高兴。

　That she could come to help us　 made us very happy.

②她来不来不太重要。

　Whether she comes or not　 doesn’t matter too much.

二、it作形式主语的主语从句
