According to General Senior High School English
Curriculm Standards (2017,revised in 2025)and Compulsory
Education English Curriculum Standards (2022,revised in
2025),English teaching should aim at the promotion of students'
core competencies,which include language ability,cultural
awareness,thinking quality,and learning capacity.To achieve
this goal,the analysis and teaching of the text develop from
"what'"how"and "why".The idea of activity-based learning
could serve as an efficient guiding principle by which a lesson is
designed.It requires that three layers of activities should be
included in a lesson,namely learning and comprehension,
practice and application,migration and innovation.Besides that,
the design of each procedure echoes the integration of teaching,
learning,and evaluation.Based on this principle,four objectives
and related activities have been generated.
As the second graders in senior high school,they have basic
vocabulary and reading strategies,especially engaged in
life-related topics.However,they lack abilities to integrate
various knowledge,failing to manage their thoughts on money
management integrally.To address this,the teacher will provide
enough scaffolds and AI-powered aid through peer discussion.
Some students in the class have high motivation to learn
English and possess enthusiasm for expressing themselves,
while others tend to keep silent in class.Accordingly,the
teacher should pay attention to the classroom management

giving chances to every student to express themselves,and give
encouragement to students who are silent.Students in this class
prefer cooperative learning with peers,exchanging ideas with
others,and thinking creatively about some interesting topics.
But some students'critical thinking ability needs to be
improved.Therefore,the teacher is supposed to improve their
critical thinking ability step by step with AI empowerment.

introducing spending dilemmas and a charitable example,the
