一、 教学目标
语言知识:
能识别、认读词汇:continent, ocean, planet, surface, forest, soil, desert 等。
能掌握并使用表示“存在”和“拥有”的句型:There are seven continents. The earth has only one big ocean.
语言技能:
阅读: 能通过略读(skimming)找出文章主旨,通过寻读(scanning)找出海洋和大洲的名称及数量。
听说: 能听懂并跟读课文;能与同伴就大洲特征进行简单的问答交流。
写作: 能根据关键词和句型,完成关于大洲特征的填空和简单描述。
情感态度与价值观:
认识地球是我们唯一的家园,了解其基本地理构成,初步建立爱护地球、保护环境的意识。
二、 教学重点与难点
重点: 七大洲、四大洋的英文名称;理解课文主要内容。
难点: 部分大洲名称(如 Antarctica, Oceania)的发音与拼写;将地理信息与英语表达进行关联和运用。
三、 教学过程 (40分钟)
Step 1: 热身与导入 (Warm-up & Lead-in) (5分钟)
活动:猜谜游戏
教师展示被云雾遮盖部分的地球图片,或播放一段地球在太空中旋转的短视频。
提问:What is it? 引导学生回答:It's the earth.
继续提问:What do you know about the earth? 鼓励学生用简单英语说出已知信息,如 It's blue., We live on it., There are many countries. 等。
自然引出课题:Yes! The earth is our only home. Today, let's learn more about it. 并板书课题。
Step 2: 读前准备 (Pre-reading) (8分钟)
活动1:阅读材料:《Continents & Oceans on Earth》
Our Earth has two main parts: land and oceans.
The land is split into 7 big pieces called continents. Their names are Asia, Africa, Oceania, Antarctica, Europe, North America, and South America. Asia is the largest continent in the world.
The oceans cover most of Earth’s surface. There are 4 main oceans: the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Arctic Ocean. The Pacific Ocean is the biggest ocean.
These continents and oceans make Earth our wonderful home!

The earth is a special planet. It is our home now, and it will be our home in the future.
Paragraph 2: Human Living Limits & Ocean Distribution
But people can’t live everywhere on the earth. We can’t live in water.
Oceans cover two thirds of the earth’s surface.
The earth has only one big ocean, but we name its different parts: the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Arctic Ocean.
