教学设计 课程基本信息 学科 英语 年级 九年级 学期 秋季 课题 Unit2 I think that mooncakes are delicious!(SectionB 1a-1d) 教学目标 At the end of the class, students are able to: 1. get some new words and expressions:ghost,spider,haunted house,trick or treat,play a trick on sb. 2. listen for specific information about Halloween and introduce and talk about this festival with partners。 3. introduce their favorite festival and write a short passage about it. 教学重难点 教学重点: 1.Listen for the specific information about Halloween。 2.Communicate with partners about what they have listened。 教学难点: 1.Talk about their own feelings about Halloween。 2.Retell the Halloween and introduce their favorite festival。 教学过程 Step 1. Warm-up&Revision Teacher shows some pictures of Chinese festivals students have known in SectionA and let them say what festivals they are. Let students have a revision. Then Teacher shows some pictures of western festivals and let them say the festivals they know aloud. Step 2. Presentation 1.After revision, ask students if they know something about Halloween.Let them have a free talk. 2. Show the pictures in 1a one by one and let students say what they can see in each picture and encourage them summarize the main idea of each picture. (What does each picture show about Halloween?) 3. Let students look at the pictures in 1a again and read words about Halloween together. Then answer: What do you think Halloween is about? (Teacher can give a possible answer and then let students answer freely.) Step 3. Listening 1. Let students read the questions in 1b and do a prediction about each question. 2. Let students circle the key words in the questions. 3. Teacher give students the listening tips: when you listen, you should find out the key words and then write them as soon as possible. 4. Play the tape for the first time and let students listen for the key information and write them down in 1b . 5. Play the tape for the second time and let students check their answers in 1b. 6. Let some students read their answers with full sentences. 7. Let students read the sentences in 1c and predict the answers. 8. Play the tape for the third time and let students fill in the blanks. 9. Play the tape again and check the answers. Step 4. Role-play 1. Ask students to talk about the Halloween activities that interest them most in groups. 2. Ask several groups to act out. Step 5. Retell Let students retell the Halloween according to the mind-map on PPT. (From four aspects: when, where,what, how) Step 6. Group work Talk about your likes and dislikes about Halloween in groups and do a report. (Report like this: In our group, XXX likes... because he/she thinks...) Step 7. Homework 1.
