I felt a little worried and tried my best to catch up with others. Last Friday while in a math class I sat behind Eric. He was always thought to be a bad student, and I never thought Eric would be able to help me learn math. But I was wrong. In class we were giving some difficult questions. And I couldn’t work them out. To my surprise Eric gave me a helping hand. I felt so sorry for what I had thought about Eric. The experience tells me that we should believe kindness is always around us.

Pre-made food has recently started a hot public discussion. The thing that Luo Yonghao criticized XIBEI, a famous restaurant chain, on social media made the discussion even more serious. Luo said most dishes at XIBEI were pre-made but sold at high prices without clear information. XIBEI said the accusation was not true, opened its kitchens to the public, and even boldly launched a “Luo Yonghao Menu” to reply.
As major domestic (国内的) official media have pointed out, pre-made food, as a product of industrial food production, has its advantages that cannot be replaced. It meets the needs for fast meals in a fast-paced society, helps food businesses cut costs and workers, and improves efficiency. What’s more, it can reduce food waste through standard rules.
However, problems cannot be ignored (忽视). First, food safety is a top worry. If there is no proper check, long-term storage and complex supply chains may bring risks like microbe pollution. Second, the lack of clear information breaks consumers’ right to know that many restaurants use pre-made food without telling customers, and customers pay for what they think is freshly cooked dishes. Third, some products have quality problems, such as using too many additives (添加剂) to make food last longer.
To make sure the pre-made food industry develops healthily, stricter checks are badly needed. The government should improve standards, make production and delivery checks stronger, and ask businesses to tell customers they use pre-made ingredients. Only in this way can the industry’s growth be balanced with the protection of consumers’ legal rights.
31.What can we learn from the event in the first paragraph?
A.XIBEI admitted using many pre-made dishes right after Luo’s criticism.
B.Luo accused XIBEI of selling costly pre-made food without telling customers.
C.The “Luo Yonghao Menu” quickly ended the public discussion on pre-made food.
D.Luo’s complaint about XIBEI didn’t get much attention on social media.
32.Which one is NOT an advantage of pre-made food according to the text?
A.It satisfies people’s need for quick meals in a busy society.
B.It helps food businesses spend less money and use fewer workers.
C.It makes less food wasted by following standard rules.
D.It is more delicious than freshly cooked food.
33.What does the underlined “accusation” probably mean in the first paragraph?
A.disagreement B.saying C.blame D.fighting
34.What is the main purpose of the last paragraph?
A.To explain why people choose pre-made food.
B.To describe the challenges the pre-made food industry faces.
C.To suggest ways for the pre-made food industry to improve.
D.To discuss the advantages and disadvantages of pre-made food.
35.What is the author’s attitude towards pre-made food?
A.Totally disagree, because it’s not safe.
B.Thinks it’s good but needs strict management
C.Fully supports it, because it has no disadvantages.
D.Doesn’t care, and has no clear ideas.

33.词句猜测题。根据“Luo said most dishes at XIBEI were pre-made but sold at high prices without clear information. XIBEI said the accusation was not true…”
根据“To make sure the pre-made food industry develops healthily, stricter checks are badly needed. The government should improve standards, make production and delivery checks stronger, and ask businesses to tell customers they use pre-made ingredients.”可知,最后一段主要提出了确保预制菜行业健康发展的建议,即:需要更严格的检查,政府应提高标准,加强生产和配送检查,并要求企业告知顾客他们使用了预制食材,故选C。

The Egyptian pyramids (金字塔) are among the most famous buildings in the world. They were built thousands of years ago for the dead kings and queens of ancient Egypt. Yet, even today, these great buildings hold many mysteries that scientists and historians are still trying to understand.
One of the biggest mysteries is how the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids without modern machines. The largest pyramid, the Great pyramid of Giza, is made of over two million stone blocks. Some of these stones weigh as much as a car! How did people move such heavy stones without machines? Some experts believe the workers used large ramps (斜坡) made of sand and mud to push the stones into place. But no one knows for sure.
Another question is about the design (设计) of the pyramids. They are perfectly shaped and aligned (使对齐) with the stars. For example, the four sides of the Great pyramid almost exactly face north, south, east, and west. How did the ancient Egyptians do all this successfully without compasses (指南针) or computers? This remains a mystery.
There are also mysteries inside the pyramids. Hidden rooms and long passageways have been discovered, but scientists are still not sure what some of them were used for. They have found beautiful paintings and writings on the walls, which tell stories about the past. However, many of these messages have not been fully understood.
Even after hundreds of years of study, the pyramids still keep their secrets. They show us how clever and hard-working the ancient Egyptians were. Every new discovery helps us learn more about this amazing culture, but there is still much we do not know.

A.Worried. B.Scared. C.Encouraged. D.Amazed.
37.What can we infer (推断) about the designers of the pyramids?
A.They had much knowledge about stars and engineering.
B.They designed the pyramids in the shapes of some stars.
C.They had better tools than compasses or computers.
D.They put environmental protection first when they designed the pyramids.
38.Which of the following may the writer most probably agree with?
A.The building skills of ancient Egypt are better than those of today.
B.We may probably never know all the secrets of the pyramids.
C.The ancient Egyptians were the cleverest people.
D.The paintings and writings are the biggest keys to the pyramids’ secrets.
39.What’s the structure (结构) of this text (Pt1=Paragraph 1...)?
A.B. C. D.

Do you want to be an astronaut in the future? Every year on April 24, it’s Space Day of China. 41 The successful manned space missions are a big part of it. Being an astronaut is not easy!
42 In space, there is very little gravity (重力), which can make their bodies feel different. They also have to spend a long time away from their families and friends in a small spaceship. 43 And if something goes wrong during their mission, they have to figure out how to fix it quickly while under a lot of pressure. That’s why astronauts have to be really smart, strong, and ready for anything before they can go to space.
44 Huang Weifen, who helps design the astronaut program, says there are over 200 different things astronauts have to learn, including science, physical training, and practice missions. Before they can go to space, they train for at least three and a half years.
One of the hardest parts of astronaut training is the underwater training. This helps them get ready for the weightless environment in space. Astronauts wear diving suits (潜水服) that weigh more than 100 kilograms and stay underwater for six hours at a time. 45 Huang said that one astronaut, Nie Haisheng, even lost 2 kilograms after one underwater training exercise.
A.That can make them feel lonely or stressed.
B.Being an astronaut is a really challenging thing.
C.Therefore, the selection of astronauts is very strict.
D.When astronauts go to space, they face many challenges.
E.It’s a day to celebrate the country’s growth in space exploration.
