1. —Do you know the man under the tree? —No, I don’t. He’s a complete ________ to me. 根据“No, I don’t.” C。 2. The teacher told us that light ________ faster than sound. B。 3. The plane will ________ in 10 minutes. Please hurry to the boarding gate! A. take off B. take after C. take up D. take in 【答案】A 【解析】 【详解】句意:飞机将在10分钟后起飞。 take off起飞;take after(外貌、行为等方面)像(父母、祖父母等);take up开始从事,占据(时间、空间等);take in吸收,领会,欺骗。 A。 4. In my opinion, teenagers should ________ choose their own clothes. A. allow B. be allow to C. be allowed to D. be allowed 【答案】C 【解析】 【详解】句意:在我看来,青少年应该被允许选择他们自己的衣服。 “allow”的过去分词是“allowed”,“被允许做某事”的表达是“be allowed to do sth.”。所以此处应填“be allowed to”。故选C。 5. —Whose book is it? —It ________ be Lucy’s. Her name is on its cover. A. can B. may C. can’t D. must 【答案】D 【解析】 【详解】句意:——这是谁的书?——它一定是露西的。 can能,会;may可能;can't不可能;must一定。根据“Her name is on its cover.” D。 6. —Little Tom won the game again. —Yes. His grandfather felt very________ of him and treated him to a big dinner. Little Tom won the game again.",汤姆赢得比赛,可知他的爷爷会感到骄傲。故选B。 7. —Lily got the first prize in the English speech contest! —________ exciting news it is! A. How B. How a C. What D. What a 【答案】C 【解析】 【详解】句意:——莉莉在英语演讲比赛中得了一等奖!——这是多么令人兴奋的消息啊! 根据“... exciting news it is!” C。 8. They ________ play soccer, but now they do. A. didn’t used to B. didn’t use to C. weren’t used to D. didn’t used 【答案】B 【解析】 【详解】句意:他们过去不常踢足球,但是现在他们踢。 “used to do sth.”表示“过去常常做某事”,其否定形式有两种:“didn’t use to do sth.” 和 “used not to do sth.” ;“be used to doing sth.” “didn’t used to”形式错误;“weren’t used to”后面应接动词的 -ing 形式,表示“不习惯做某事”,不符合此处语境;“didn’t used”缺少动词原形,形式错误。故选B。 9. I will remember the important people ________ helped and supported me forever. A. who B. what C. why D. when 【答案】A 【解析】 【详解】句意:我会永远记住那些帮助和支持过我的重要的人。 A。 10. —Could you please tell me ________? —I ordered it online last Sunday, and it’ll arrive tomorrow. A. when did you order the book B. where you will order the book C. when you ordered the book D. where do you order the book 【答案】C 【解析】 【详解】句意:——你能告诉我你什么时候订购的这本书吗?——我上周日在网上订购的,它明天会到。 根据“Could you please tell me...” 因此,应该用“when you ordered the book”。 Big World: Small Voice, Big Power “Grandma: ‘They say you can’t stand on the stage, but I know you can.’ Liu Chunhe: ‘Not just for the stage. Let yourself evaporate (蒸发) into the wind and it can take you across me,” said the desert. “Give up what I am now? No! No!” The little stream could not accept this idea. “The wind can carry the vapor (蒸汽) across the desert and let it leave as rain. The rain will form a river again,” said the desert. “And whether you’re a river or vapor, your nature never changes.” After hearing this the little stream went into the open arms of the wind.
