Passage 2

18 , just as I took out my camera, a woman suddenly approached from behind, and planted herself right in front of my view. Like me, this woman was here to appreciate the view. 19 as I was, after about 15 minutes, I grew frustrated. Was it too much to ask her to 20 so I could take just one picture of the 21 ? Passage 3
(24-25 高一上・四川广安第二中学校・期末)
Growing up in the USA, I always wanted to experience another culture. The 31 came when I was 15. After a few months of planning and 32 , I was ready to spend the second semester of my first high school year 33 an exchange student in Australia.
34 in Perth was one of the most exciting moments of my life. I realized then that there was no turning back. The family I would live with was waiting for me, and it would only be five days 35 the new school year. The school I attended was 36 my school back in the States. I was quite 37 at first, especially never having been to a new school — even in the US. Everything went without 38 , though. The teachers were welcoming and the students were friendly.
The most 39 time was travelling with other exchange students around Australia during our semester break. The few weeks we 40 together were full of amazing activities.
At the end of our 41 in Australia, we had three weeks to share our stories and help each other deal with leaving. It was only 42 that our last day together was filled with tears. We packed our camp, 43 e-mail addresses and gathered together for a final good-bye.
Upon coming home, an open mind was again important. Resettling home took time and 44 , but at last I made it. All the while, I was thoughtful to letting my family and friends know how happy I was to be home and how much I had missed them — though the experience is still 45 with me. So, if you have the opportunity to study abroad you most certainly should.

Passage 4

It must be a terrible dream of most people: surviving a plane crash, only to be left in a rainforest with no way of making contact with the outside world. However, this was 46 for four Colombian children, and in an unbelievable 47 of knowledge and willpower, they survived.
The children, aged 13, nine and four, as well as an 11-month-old baby, were 48 with their mother. They were going to visit their father in the capital city. Their plane experienced engine problems and 49 on May 1, 2023. For two weeks, bad weather prevented the army 50 the crash site. They found three adults later, including the children’s mother, who were already 51 .
How did these children survive conditions that would be 52 even for most adults? They are members of the Huitoto Indigenous (土著) group and were 53 in the rainforest. While the 56 got on with the business of surviving, the Colombian army worked with Indigenous volunteers to find them. And after 40 days of 57 , the army found the children and took them to recover at a military hospital in the city of Bogota.
Many around the world have taken this survival story to be a 58 , while others point out that it is the result of an ancient and thorough knowledge of the 59 that has been passed down through Indigenous communities over the generations.

Last spring in Yellowstone, I followed a path that took me through a dark forest. When I finally 79 out of the trees, the view was breathtaking. An eagle 80 over the snow-capped mountains, which were 81 in the still lake below. While I was concentrating on photographing this 82 scene, I suddenly had a 83 that I was being watched. Slowly, and with the camera still held to my eye, I turned… and 84 . Only metres away from me was a bear. With water falling off its thick, brown hair, the bear stared back at me. Time stood 85 as the bear and I both waited to see who would move first. My legs started 86 . Somehow, I forced my finger to press the 87 . A second later, the bear turned and ran back into the forest. When I recovered from the 88 , I looked at my camera. My most frightening but 89 experience was now captured forever in a single image.
