However, in terms of reading skills, some students need to improve their abilities to quickly locate key information and deeply understand the implied meaning of the article. In addition, there are obvious individual differences among students in the learning process. During the teaching process, it is necessary to pay attention to these differences, design hierarchical teaching activities, meet the learning needs of students at different levels, and stimulate the learning interests and potentials of all students.

【Teaching Procedures】
Step 1 Lead-in
The teacher plays a video about friendship, then guides students to watch and think: What is a good friend? Let students share their understanding of good friends freely.
Design idea: Introduce the theme of this lesson - friendship through the video, stimulate students' interest, mobilize their existing knowledge and experiences, and naturally lead into the class content, laying a foundation for subsequent learning.
Step 2 Pre-reading
1. The teacher shows two pictures of girls and asks questions: What's the relationship between the two girls? What's the story about? Let students guess and discuss.
2. Guide students to read the title and the first paragraph of the article to get a preliminary understanding of the article's main idea.
Design idea: Set suspense to arouse students' curiosity and cultivate their prediction and inference abilities. Reading the title and part of the content in advance gives students a preliminary impression of the article and prepares them for reading.
Step 3 While-reading
1. Fast reading: (1) The teacher explains skimming techniques, such as focusing on the first and last sentences of the article, sub - headings, and key words.
(2) Let students skim the article quickly and answer questions: What's the story about? What are the friendship rules between Wang Li and the writer?
2. Careful reading: (1) The teacher presents some detailed understanding questions, such as True or False: They became friends in the primary school. They have many things in common and never quarrel with each other. They didn't keep in touch. Their friendship rules work effectively for them to get along well.
(2) Ask the question: What is the writer's attitude to following friendship rules? A. positive B. negative C. objective D. doubtful. Guide students to pay attention to the words and sentences expressing the author's viewpoints.
(3) Let students read the article again and write down the friendship rules they agree with.
Design idea: Fast-reading training helps students obtain the main information of the article. The careful-reading part enables students to understand the details of the article deeply, master reading skills, and at the same time, guide students to think about the author's viewpoints, exercise their analysis and judgment abilities. Finally, let students express their views on friendship rules based on their own experiences, realizing the internalization and output of knowledge.
Step 4 Post-reading
1. Group Activity: Divide students into groups. Each group discusses and designs their own friendship - rule cards, writing down the rules and drawing patterns representing friendship on the cards.
2. Group Presentation: Invite some groups to come to the front of the class to show their friendship - rule cards and share the reasons for making the rules.
Design idea: Group activities cultivate students' cooperative learning and innovative thinking abilities, and enhance communication and interaction among students. Group presentations provide students with opportunities for oral expression, exercising their presentation and expression skills.
Step 5 Summary
The teacher guides students to review what they have learned in this class, summarizes the importance of friendship and different friendship rules, and emphasizes the key roles of understanding, respect, and communication in friendship.
Design idea: Summary and induction help students sort out knowledge and strengthen their understanding of friendship.
Step 6 Homework

Design idea: The writing assignment consolidates the knowledge learned in this class, improves students' written expression ability, enables students to apply what they have learned in class to real - life situations, and deepens their understanding and perception of friendship.
