To do不定式作表语,表示主语的内容和目的。 Eg:My dream is to be a doctor. 2. 动词不定式作表语,表示安排/命令/禁止/意愿/注定发生等意义。 1.President Biden is to visit our country tomorrow .(安排) 2.Children are not to smoke .(禁止) 3. You must be patient and persistent if you are to succeed.(意愿) 4.If you don’t study hard, you are to be a loser.(注定发生) 语法串讲·融会贯通 四、动词不定式作后置定语 不定式作后置定语时,通常修饰名词或不定代词,放于所修饰的词后,为后置定语。常见的名词有chance, way, opportunity, right, dream, ambition, time, power, ability, attempt, promise, wish, plan, decision, tendency, failure等 Eg:He’s always the first one to get up. 他总是第一个起床的。 Please give me something to drink. 请给我点儿喝的。 语法串讲·融会贯通 五、动词不定式作状语 1.不定式可以用作目的状语,表示动作的目的。 不定式作目的状语的位置可以在句首或句末。不定式可以替换为 "in order to"、"so as to"、"so (such)... as to" 等,通常用于表示发生在谓语动作之后的动作,即尚未发生的将来动作。 eg : 1. To get 100 points, we must work hard. 2. We made a fire to keep us warm. 3.
