As we all know, climate (气候)change has greatly influenced the birds' living environment. Take Poyang
Lake as an example, as an important habitat(栖息地)for the seriously endangered birds, Poyang Lake has experienced usual rises and falls in recent years.
"In some years, the lake experiences floods (洪水), while in others it experiences a shortage of rain. Both of these situations lead to less food in the birds' habitat." Qian Fawen, a leader from the National Bird Center of China told China Daily.
To solve such habitat problems, China has named 1,140 places these years as important living and wintering places in wetlands(湿地).To protect China's wetlands, a law was also made in 2022 to control human activities. According to the law, people can't overuse the wetlands. What's more, they can't pour(倒)waste water into the wetlands.
Since these methods have worked well, more birds have been seen wintering in the nation's wetlands. In February, Hunan Province reported that 72 kinds of water birds had spent the past winter at Dongting Lake, and that the number of one endangered kind of birds had increased from300 in the 1980s to more than 5,000 at present. All of these cases show a better future.
( )1. How many places has China named as important living and wintering places in wetlands these years?

D. Because they reduce the number of wetlands
( )4. What can we know from the example of the endangered birds in Dongting Lake?
A. The number of the endangered birds has decreased a lot
B. The methods to protect wetlands have worked well
C. Dongting Lake is not a good wintering place for birds
D. There are only 72 kinds of water birds in Dongting Lake

You may not notice bees often, but they are one of the most important animals on Earth. Here’s why:
First, bees help with pollination (授粉). When bees fly from one flower to another to collect nectar (花蜜), they carry pollen on their bodies. This pollen helps plants grow seeds and fruits. Without bees, about 80 percent of the world’s plants can’t grow well. That means we would have fewer fruits, vegetables, and nuts to eat.
Second, bees make honey. Honey is a delicious and healthy food. Bees work together to make honey—they collect nectar from flowers and store it in honeycombs. A group of bees can make more than 10 kilograms of honey in a year.
Third, bees help keep the ecosystem balanced. Many animals, like birds and bears, eat honey or bees. If there were no bees, these animals would lose an important food source. This would break the balance of nature.
However, the number of bees is dropping. This is because of pollution, bad weather, and the use of chemicals in farms. We can help bees by planting more flowers, avoiding chemicals, and building beehives in gardens.
Bees are small, but they play a big role in our lives. We must protect them!
( )1.What is the first reason why bees are important?
A.They make honey. B.They help with pollination.
C.They keep the ecosystem balanced. D.They are food for other animals.
( )2.Which of the following steps shows how bees make honey?
①Store nectar in honeycombs. ② Collect nectar from flowers. ③ Work together in groups.
A.③→②→① B.②→①→③
C.①→②→③ D.③→①→②
( )3.What would happen if there were no bees?
A.We would have more fruits. B.Plants would grow better.
C.Some animals would lose food. D.The weather would be better.
( )4.What is the main idea of this passage?
A.How to make honey.
B.Why bees are important and how to protect them.
C.How bees fly from flower to flower.
D.What animals eat bees.
( )5.What is the best title for this passage?
A.Bees and Honey B.Pollination by Bees
C.Bees: Our Important Friends D.How to Protect Bees
