(24-25高二上·浙江·期末)A friend recently showed me her planned trip to Italy. Over cups of tea, she laid out the trip in military order-the Colosseum, Pompeii, Venice…By the time she was done I was exhausted, and 1 hadn’t even set foot outside the house.
My way of travelling is different. I just pick a destination and then go there, leaving things to chance. This may not be for everybody, but leaping into the unknown, for me, has been great.
Take Greenland, for example: 1 found myself in a tiny village of just 40 people, with no place to stay. The locals welcomed me warmly, and I enjoyed a delightful supper with an Inuit family, completed with fantastic stories never found in guidebooks.
A few years back, driving through Iceland, I noticed an older woman sitting at a picnic table by a waterfall. I approached her, and asked if I could sit with her. She turned out to be a source of knowledge about the area, which we had all to ourselves, without a tourist in sight.
Wandering in Trinidad, I got on a coastal ship. On the way, a young woman talked to me and gave me a tip for a visit to a hidden local restaurant with delicious and affordable food. There, I enjoyed the meal surrounded by the relaxing local music.
As a teacher, I encourage my students to travel. Most of them have never gone outside; others even never left their hometown. In many cases, they express a sense of fear, of going someplace where they won’t know anybody. I try to remove their anxieties by sharing my own travel experiences, and the message that there are good people everywhere, and friendships are waiting to be started.
I once read a piece about regrets that people expressed later in their lives. One that struck me was, “I wish I had taken more chances.” Setting off little planning does mean taking a risk, but for me, it is rewarding.
24.Why did the author mention her friend’s travel plan?
A.To recommend some best spots in Italy. B.To express her unconcern of friend’s plan.
C.To introduce her different way of traveling. D.To show her tiredness of making travel plans.
25.What can you learn from the author’s travel experiences?
A.She visited a village with large population in Greenland.
B.She learnt fascinating stories about Inuit from guidebooks.
C.She saw the waterfall advised by an old woman in Iceland.
D.She enjoyed a meal in a local hidden restaurant in Trinidad.
26.What mainly stops the author’s students from traveling?
A.Their lack of money. B.Their fear of unfamiliar places.
C.Their dislike of travelling abroad. D.Their inability to leave hometown.
27.What would be the best title for the passage?
A.Friendships Start in Trips B.A Man is Rewarded with Plans
C.Travels Unprepared Bring Surprise D.Chances Favor the Focused Minds

(24-25高二上·江苏泰州·期末)The rapid development of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) has been influencing education at all levels, from primary and secondary to higher education.
Countries around the world are trying to find ways to use AI more flexibly in education, so as to provide education for students in faraway areas and teach people the skills needed to get successful jobs in the 21st century. China has become a leader in the application of AI in education and training by developing smart learning systems and stepping up research on AI.
An important area of research is the possible use of AI to promote language learning. AI can help teachers to tailor resources for learners, producing their specific resources according to individual learners’ needs and improve students’ performance. Researchers from Beijing Normal University explored how an automatic resource generation system can help in teaching Chinese as a second language in schools.
The researchers developed a model to use AI to ensure the resources meet learners’ needs, with studies showing the use of the teaching-learning model improved students’ performance. Students who were taught lessons using the model more actively participated in the course.
In addition to teaching languages, AI can also be used to help students of all ages to learn about different cultures. Researchers from Beijing Foreign Studies University, and some other foreign universities have been exploring ways to use AI to help students from different countries learn from each other and know about each other’s cultures while sitting in the comfort of their homes.
With the development of machine learning, AI has the potential to change education if designed and applied properly. AI applications should be designed in a way that they benefit learners and educators. For that purpose, rules for learners, teachers and other staff in educational organizations should be in place.
28.Why are countries exploring the use of AI in education?
A.To become a leader in the world.
B.To prepare people for future jobs.
C.To develop smart learning system.
D.To advance the use of AI in research.
29.What does the underlined word “tailor” in Paragraph 3 mean?
A.Apply widely. B.Buy cheaply.
C.Process carefully. D.Design specially.
30.What does the author suggest in the last paragraph?
A.Making proper rules. B.Inventing smart systems.
C.Conducting more researches. D.Learning different cultures.
31.What is the text mainly about?
A.The rapid development of AI.
B.AI application in language teaching.
C.Possible uses of AI in education.

(24-25高二上·福建莆田·期末)Beneath Hawaii’s turquoise waves, a silent crisis unfolds: coral reefs, home to 25% of marine species, are bleaching at alarming rates. But across the islands, a wave of innovation is pushing back — blending ancient wisdom with cutting-edge science to protect paradise.
On Oahu’s north shore, marine biologists and local fishermen have joined forces on the Reef Tender project. Using 3D-printed coral “seeds” made from limestone and recycled oyster shells, they’re restoring damaged reefs. These seeds, shaped like tiny antlers, mimic natural coral structures, allowing baby coral polyps to attach and grow 50% faster than in the wild. What makes it unique? Fishermen, who’ve guarded these waters for generations, now monitor the reefs daily, using a simple app to log growth — turning stewards into scientists.
In Maui’s rainforests, invasive species like the miconia plant once spread unchecked. Enter Aloha AirWatch, a drone program with a twist: drones equipped with thermal cameras scan the canopy, identifying invasive plants by their heat signatures. Instead of spraying chemicals, teams deploy biocontrol agents — tiny Hawaiian wasps that feed exclusively on miconia leaves. It’s a targeted approach, preserving native flora while honoring the Hawaiian principle of kākoʻo .
Perhaps most inspiring is the Hui o Ka Wai initiative, which revives traditional Hawaiian water management. Ancient ʻauwai are being restored with modern sensors that track water flow, ensuring streams stay healthy for both taro farms and endangered freshwater fish. Farmers now share real-time data via a community dashboard, balancing crop needs with in a way that feels both old and new.
Hawaii’s lesson is clear: protecting nature thrives when innovation listens — to the land, the sea, and the people who call them home. Here, paradise isn’t just preserved; it’s reimagined.

A.Overfishing in Hawaii’s waters
B.Coral reefs bleaching at alarming rates
C.Invasive species destroying rainforests
D.Pollution of freshwater streams
33.How does Aloha AirWatch deal with invasive miconia plants?
A.By spraying chemicals to kill them
B.By using drones to cut them down
C.By introducing Hawaiian wasps that feed on them
D.By using thermal cameras to burn them
34.What does the Hui o Ka Wai initiative aim to do?
A.Revive traditional water management with modern technology
B.Build new dams to control water flow in streams
C.Expand taro farms to increase crop production
D.Protect coral reefs from freshwater pollution
35.What is the author’s attitude towards Hawaii’s efforts to protect nature?
A.Critical B.Doubtful
C.Praising D.Indifferent

(24-25高二上·安徽阜阳·期末)Taking care of pet fish is a big responsibility, so you have to learn all about it before bringing them home!
36 Freshwater fish are the best fish to start with. But some species of fish don’t get along with others, so you’ll need to do some research before you make decisions about what to buy and how many to buy.
Next, you need to make sure you have the necessary supplies that your fish will need. Get a fish tank big enough for the fish you plan to keep. You can put the tank on a dresser. 37 Fish tanks need a light to help fish distinguish between day and night, an air pump and filter (过滤器) to keep the water clean, as well as a heater and thermometer to maintain a comfortable water temperature. Many people also like to get decorations for their tanks!
Now that you have your supplies, you’ll need to set up your aquarium. Put the tank on the stand, close enough to an outlet (电源插座). Wash any decorations you plan to put in the tank. 38 Then, heat up the water to the temperature your fish will need. Follow the instructions on the filter and air pump to get them in your tank. Make sure your light is ready to go, too! 39
You’re ready to bring your fish home! Once fish are in the tank, you have to watch them closely to make sure they don’t get sick. Feed them in small amounts a few times a day. 40 Remember to change the water weekly, and more frequently in the first few weeks.
A.Save up your money if you’d like decorations.
B.Alternatively, you might need to get a fish tank stand.
C.You’ll be able to take care of a more complicated pet later on.
D.Too much extra food will worsen water quality and harm your fish.
E.First, decide the species of fish and the number of the fish you want to get.
F.Fill the bottom of the tank with the clean decorations, then fill the tank with water.
G.Some people use a timer for their lights to avoid turning them on and off each day.

Filial piety, otherwise 56 (know) as xiao, is at the core (核心) of Chinese culture. Originating from Confucian philosophy, filial piety means love and respect for one’s elders and 57 (obey) their wishes. But there is something else, too. 58 (achieve) filial piety, you have to be there for them physically, and look after them in their old age.
In our modern 21st century, 59 (globe) migration has long become a norm (标准). Many of my Western friends say they feel very little connection to 60 (they) birth country after a few significant moves across regions.
61 , China’s case is a little different. Although we Chinese young generations have embraced our new lives all around the world, the 62 (strong) of our family ties and filial piety deeply links us 63 our cultural roots. Like kites flying high in the sky, we will 64 (connect) with the land and the people who have shaped our characters to make us 65 we are.

(24-25高二上·安徽亳州·期末)
I was very active in sports and games when I was in primary school. I was good at the long jump and running. As a result, I was chosen to represent the school in the long jump and relay events at the District Sports Meet.
The event lasted two days. With no competitions for me on the first day, I cheered on my teammates and watched other athletes. Seeing our team do well in various events was encouraging. The successes of our team were not just victories; they were a source of inspiration. Each triumph (获胜) by our athletes was met with a round of applause and shouts of joy from our cheering section. Their achievements fueled my own motivation, and I could feel the excitement building within me. I was ready for my events.
On the second day, my long jump event was scheduled for the early afternoon. I felt confident, but when I got there I realized there were a lot of talented athletes. There was one young athlete in particular who jumped extremely far, wearing spikes (钉子鞋), making it harder for the rest of us. I was very nervous. At the end of the race, I tried my best, and although I jumped a good distance, I twisted (扭伤) my foot. I finished fourth, just missing out on a medal.
That was disappointing, but I reminded myself that we still had a chance in the 8×50 m relay, for which I was assigned to run the fifth leg. The race time arrived. We filed into our assigned spots and prepared for the race. After a tense minute or so, I heard the starter’s gun go off. When the first runners took off, I held my breath and watched our team runners keep up with the others. As they got closer, I realized we were at least in second place.
注意:1. 续写词数应为150个左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
My turn arrived, I nervously took the baton (接力棒) and began my run.

Dear fellow students,
At present, our school is carrying out an activity called “Building a Beautiful Campus”, and I am here to call on everyone to take an active part in it.
An attractive campus can make our learning pleasant and improve our grades. However, some students can be seen running on the lawn, picking flowers or throwing rubbish everywhere, which have already harmed our school environment. It’s time we did something to change the situation. From my perspective, everyone is responsible for the beauty of our campus. Besides, if we all avoid doing anything improper, our campus will become more beautiful.
Every effort matters. Let’s take action now.

My turn arrived, I nervously took the baton (接力棒) and began my run. I ran forward, giving it my all, but then I stumbled and fell down. I felt a quick pain and my heart sank. The race looked like it was getting away. The noise from the crowd disappeared as I struggled. But my friends’ calls for me to stand up cut through the silence. I saw the other runners moving fast, and I knew I had to keep going.
At last I lost the race, but when I got to the end, my team was there, still cheering me on. They were proud of my behavior instead of being disappointed, just as I was proud of my efforts. Even though I didn’t get a medal in the long jump or the relay, I showed I could keep going even when things were hard. I had faced challenges and pushed through, showing my courage. The applause from the crowd was a reward which meant more than any medal. The true victory is in the effort, not just the result.

Although we Chinese young generations have embraced our new lives all around the world, the 62 (strong) of our family ties and filial piety deeply links us 63 our cultural roots.

James, of course, is the owner of the biggest restaurant chain in the state. He set up his first store only three years ago and has somehow been able to grow his business at lightning-quick speed. James’ story is quite special, not because he comes from a very wealthy family who made their money in the oil business, but because he turned his back on his family and all their wealth, and built his own company up from nothing— in an industry he knew nothing about before he started. This interview will be the first in our new series, What Makes an Entrepreneur. If you want to ask the guest something, submit your questions via text at least half an hour before the show starts at 6 p.m. We will try to get through as many of your questions as we can in the 50 minutes we have live on air.

【答案】24.C 25.D 26.B 27.C
【导语】这是一篇记叙文。文章讲述了我喜欢不事先计划的旅行方式,并且讲述了旅行过程中遇见的许多惊喜。
24.推理判断题。根据文章第二段“My way of travelling is different. I just pick a destination and then go there, leaving things to chance. (我的旅行方式与众不同。我只是选定一个目的地,然后就去那里,听天由命。)”可知,作者第一段提到朋友的旅行计划是为了引出下文自己与朋友截然不同的旅行方式。故选C项。
25.细节理解题。根据文章第五段“On the way, a young woman talked to me and gave me a tip for a visit to a hidden local restaurant with delicious and affordable food. There, I enjoyed the meal surrounded by the relaxing local music. (在路上,一位年轻女子与我交谈,并给我推荐了一家隐藏在当地、食物美味且价格实惠的餐厅。在那里,我在轻松的当地音乐中享受着美食。)”可知,作者在Trinidad旅行时,在当地一家隐蔽的餐馆享用了一顿美餐。故选D项。
26.细节理解题。根据文章第六段“Most of them have never gone outside; others even never left their hometown. In many cases, they express a sense of fear, or going someplace where they won’t know anybody. (他们中的大多数从未出过国;还有一些人甚至从未离开过家乡。很多时候,他们表达的是一种恐惧,或是去一个不认识任何地方。)”可知,学生们不愿意出门旅行的原因主要是对未知的恐惧。故选B项。
27.主旨大意题。根据全文以及最后一段“One that struck me was, “I wish I had taken more chances.” Setting off little planning does mean taking a risk, but for me, it is rewarding. (有一个回答让我印象深刻:“我真希望我曾冒过更多的险。”不经过周密计划就开始行动确实意味着冒险,但对我来说,去做是值得的。)”可知,文章主要讲述了作者不做计划旅游方式所带来的意外之惊喜。所以短文的标题为“毫无准备的旅行带来的惊喜”。故选C项。

33.How does Aloha AirWatch deal with invasive miconia plants?
A.By spraying chemicals to kill them
B.By using drones to cut them down
C.By introducing Hawaiian wasps that feed on them
D.By using thermal cameras to burn them
34.What does the Hui o Ka Wai initiative aim to do?
A.Revive traditional water management with modern technology
B.Build new dams to control water flow in streams
C.Expand taro farms to increase crop production
D.Protect coral reefs from freshwater pollution
35.What is the author’s attitude towards Hawaii’s efforts to protect nature?
A.Critical B.Doubtful

Ancient ʻauwai are being restored with modern sensors that track water flow, ensuring streams stay healthy for both taro farms and endangered freshwater fish.(或许最令人振奋的是Hui o Ka Wai计划,该计划复兴了夏威夷传统的水资源管理方式。古老的灌溉渠正通过现代传感器得到修复,这些传感器可以追踪水流,确保芋头农场和濒危淡水鱼的溪流健康。)”可知,该计划旨在用现代技术复兴传统水资源管理。故选A项。
35.推理判断题。根据最后一段“Hawaii’s lesson is clear: protecting nature thrives when innovation listens — to the land, the sea, and the people who call them home. Here, paradise isn’t just preserved; it’s reimagined.(夏威夷的经验很明确:当创新倾听土地、海洋以及居住在那里的人们的声音时,自然保护就能蓬勃发展。在这里,天堂不仅得到了保护,更被重新塑造。)”可知,作者对夏威夷的自然保护努力持赞赏态度。故选C项。

Filial piety, otherwise 56 (know) as xiao, is at the core (核心) of Chinese culture. 【答案】

67. 阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
(24-25高二上·安徽亳州·期末)阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
注意:1. 续写词数应为150个左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
My turn arrived, I nervously took the baton (接力棒) and began my run.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
At last I lost the race, but when I got to the end, my team was there, still cheering me on.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
【答案】
