a candle-lit house 一间点着蜡烛的小房子﹑ a horse-drawn cart 一辆马车﹑ a tree-lined avenue (林荫大道)等。
a long-suffering solider (长期受苦的战士)﹑ a time-consuming job (费时的工作)

cool → cooler → coolest
great → greater → greatest
hard → harder → hardest
new → newer → newest
short → shorter → shortest
thick → thicker → thickest
fat → fatter → fattest
sad → sadder → saddest
thin → thinner → thinnest
wet → wetter → wettest
fine → finer → finest
large → larger → largest
safe → safer → safest
strange → stranger → strangest
如: tidy → tidier → tidiest 。
beautiful → more beautiful → ( the ) most beautiful
wonderful → more wonderful → ( the ) most wonderful
