Have you ever seen these scenes? Are these behaviors (行为) correct?
When you meet such behavior, do you usually step forward to stop it or remain silent?

Let’s discuss what problems there are in our class or at school. Then make a list of the problems.
Problems
There are some scribbles on the walls of our school.
Sometimes we can see rubbish in the schoolyard.
Some students are often late for school.
Let’s discuss the reasons why they exist.
Reasons
Some students don’t feel responsible (有责任的) for keeping the schoolyard clean.
Some students don’t realize it’s wrong to draw on the walls.
They wake up late, or don’t manage their time well.
Solutions
We’re going to tell the students it’s our duty to keep our school clean.
Tell them it’s wrong, and wash up the scribbles.
Go to bed early, and set the alarm clock.
Write down some plans to solve the problems.

For example
Hello, everyone! Sometimes we can see rubbish in the schoolyard. Now I want to show the reasons why it exists and how to solve the problem.
First, we must find the reasons why it exists.
Many students don’t feel responsible for keeping the schoolyard clean. They think it’s the cleaners’ job, not theirs. So, they throw rubbish without thinking twice.
Next, I’d like to share with you how to solve this problem.
We’re going to tell the students it’s our duty to keep our school clean. Also, teachers can tell us why it’s important to keep our school clean and what harm rubbish does to our school.
Dream big, plan well, work hard, smile often, and good things will happen.
1. What is your dream job? How are you going to achieve your goal?
2. What expressions can you use to talk about future plans?
3. Do you think it is important to make resolutions? Why?
4. What resolutions are you going to make? How are you going to
keep them?
5. How did this unit help you think of ways to improve yourself?
