根据原文第一段第三句话“Americans like to aet hot dags and fried chilken.(美国人喜欢吃热狗和炸鸡。)
根据文章第二段第一句话“In the north of China, the most populsr food is dumplings.

41. The man can only use water coming from ______ according to the passage.
A. the sea B. rivers and lakes C. the underground D. Both B and C
42. As time goes on, the fresh water ______.
A. can be used in many ways B. is needed by more people
C. can be found in many factories D. only comes from the rain
43. Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage?
A. Hunger is the only problem in the world.
B. Water shortage is the only problem in the world.
C. Scientists can’t solve the water problem without enough money.
D. some ways to solve the water problem have been found.
44. How many ways are used to get fresh water?
A. 4 B. 3 C. 2 D. 1
45. The best title for this passage is ______.
A. Different Ways of Making Water in Different Places
B. How to Use Fresh Water in Our Daily Life
C. The Importance of Saving Water
D. The Way to Get Fresh Water
【答案】41.D 42.B 43.D 44.B 45.D
根据文章第一段中的“Man can only drink or use the other 3% fresh water which comes from rivers, lakes, and underground.”
根据文章第一段中的“because the number of people in the world is becoming larger and larger, more and more fresh water is needed.”
根据文章第二段中的“Scientists have found some ways to turn salt water into freshwater.”
根据文章第二段和第三段的内容可知,获取淡水的方法有三种:一是通过高温煮沸海水得到淡水(虽然这种方法在文中没有明确列出为“一种方法”,但从“Scientists have found some ways to turn salt water into freshwater”和“One important way is to boil sea water...”
