An encyclopedia is a set of books or a website that has information on many different topics. The words inside are usually put in ABC order. Because there is so much information, it is often divided into many books, called volumes. Using an encyclopedia is a good first step when you need to learn about something for school.
Here are some simple steps to use one:

Look for Your Topic
If you are using a book, look at the words on the side of the book to find the right one. For example, if your topic is “The Giant Panda,” you should look for the book with words starting with “G”. On a website, you can type the word “panda” into a small search box.
Read and Learn
Once you find your topic, read the information carefully. The article will give you the most important facts. It can also give you new ideas for other things to learn about. For example, when reading about pandas, you might also learn about bamboo forests.

Dear David,
Thanks for your interest in my invention. I’m excited to tell you about my “Smart Knowledge Glasses” for the International Youth Tech Exhibition. They are lightweight glasses with a small camera. The main purpose is to protect your eyes while making learning more fun.
Here’s how they work: you can look at an object or text, and the glasses will instantly show related information or facts on a tiny screen. This means you can see and learn quickly and look up facts anywhere.
To make the glasses even better, I plan to add a voice-control feature and improve the camera’s accuracy.
What do you think of my invention?
Best wishes,
Li Hua
