What do students think of it? Types of Programming Education There are two types of programming education: software (软件) programming and hardware (硬件) programming. Software programming is about writing orders to solve a problem, while hardware programming uses programming languages to control hardware. Types of Programming Languages ■ Scratch Scratch allows beginners to make games with pictures. It only needs simple math and English knowledge. Scratch can help develop your interest in programming. ■ Python Python is very easy to get started with. Reading a good Python program feels like reading English paragraphs. Usually, students can start learning Python in the higher grades of primary school. After learning Python, you can develop games and things like a calculator ■ C++ C++ is the only programming language for NOIP (全国少年信息学奥林匹克联赛) , which can help if a student wants to go to the top universities. What do students think of learning programming? Helen: I studied C++ for several years when I was in primary school. It needs high math skills. Now I have changed to learn MO (数学奥林匹克竞赛) problems. I find out that what I’ve learned in programming helps me a lot when dealing with those problems. It can also help me with math at school. Steve: I have friends who continue learning programming, and it takes a lot of time. There is a chance and it helps with the gaokao. If you want to study IT and engineering majors in university, it’s certainly worth learning. However, I think learning without a certain intention is better. It’s fun and a way of relaxing for me now. Programming is not for everyone as far as I can see. If you find it too hard at some point, no need to push yourself. 根据文章内容,选择最佳答案。 31. What do students think of it?”及下文内容可知,文章主要介绍了编程教育的相关信息以及学生对学习编程的不同看法。故选C。 (C) ①Most junior high school students pay much attention to P. E. classes and everyday exercise mainly because they will be tested. However, after they get into senior high school, will they still keep the habit of doing sports? Sadly, the answer is no. ②According to a recent survey, only less than 20 percent of senior high school students do sports daily. About 30 percent keep exercising 3 to 5 times a week. 20 percent only exercise once or twice a week. The rest do sports less than once a week. ③When asked why they choose to exercise less often, many high school students share the same reason. Students’ sports ability won’t be tested in the National College Entrance Exam (高考), so they won’t feel the push to exercise every day. What’s more, other activities take up the time for sports, such as cellphone games and doing homework. This means many teens don’t get their necessary exercise. ④Lack of exercise has already caused problems in students’ health. More than 40 percent of senior high school students have myopia (近视). Over one third of the students are overweight. And about 80 percent of the students feel stressed out after a long day of study without proper exercise to relax. ⑤It’s time for everyone to take actions to make this situation better. Our schools can have more time for sports. Not just P. E. classes, sports meetings and some ball games will encourage students to spend more time on exercise. Parents and students themselves should work together to cut down time spent on cellphones and computers. Parents can take their high school children out for climbing or simply running on weekends. ⑥As for the government, maybe it’s time to bring sports tests back to senior high school education. There is no need to make the tests extremely hard, but it’s necessary to remind students to work harder on sports. By giving students a push, we will see more and more students get out of the classroom and enjoy sports on the playground. 根据文章内容,选择最佳答案。 36. Which paragraph is the picture related (与……有关) to? A. ② B. ③ C. ④ D. ⑤ 37. How does the writer support his opinion in Paragraph 4? A. By telling a story. B. By comparing facts. C. By listing numbers. D. By asking questions. 38. Why do most senior-high school students exercise less often according to the passage? A. Because they are not interested in sports anymore. B. Because sports ability is not tested in the National College Entrance Exam. C. Because they have no time to exercise due to after-school classes. D. Because their parents don’t encourage them to do sports. 39. What is the main purpose of this passage? A. To teach us how and how often to do exercise. B. To warn us about the bad influence of little exercise. C. To ask us to take actions for more exercise time. D. To find the reasons for less sports time for students. 40. What’s the best structure for the passage? A. B. C. D. 【答案】36. A 37. C 38. B 39. C 40. Chinese scientists have already found a new method to produce water on the Moon, which could change how we think about living on the Moon in the future! They wrote about their discovery in a science magazine called The Innovation. Their discovery shows that by using lunar soil (月壤), scientists can create a lot of water on the Moon. In the past, missions to the Moon showed that there might be ice at the Moon’s north and south poles (极). However, there isn’t much water in lunar soil—only a little bit, like 0.0001 percent to 0.02 percent, which makes it hard to find and use water there. So it’s difficult for people to expect to live on the Moon. The researchers, however, found something exciting after studying the rocks and soil from the Moon brought back by the Chang’e-5 spacecraft. One of the exciting things they discovered is that lunar soil melts (融化) when it reaches over 1,000℃. When it begins to melt, it produces water vapor (蒸气). They learned that just 100g of lunar soil can give us 5.1g to 7.6g of water. So, if we had one ton of lunar soil, we could get between 51kg and 76kg of water. That’s enough to give drinking water to 50 people for one day! All in all, this research opens up new possibilities for finding water on the Moon. It’s important for future trips to the Moon and people who might live there someday. As we learn more about how to make water from lunar soil, we get closer to the dream of humans living on the Moon. This discovery could help make that dream come true! 根据短文内容,判断句子正(T)、误(F)。 41. Chinese scientists found a new way to produce water on the Moon by using lunar soil. 42. The emperor of Qin Dynasty asked the governor (太守), Li Bing, who was a skilled water engineer, to solve this problem. The common way to stop floods was to build a wall across the river, called a dam (堤). However, the emperor also needed ships to use the river to send food to his army. This meant a dam could not be built. Li Bing had to find another way. After careful study, he created a wonderful plan-a plan that still works today! With the help of his son and tens of thousands of workers, Li Bing built a man-made island in the middle of the river. This island, shaped like a fish, divided the river into two parts: an inner river and an outer river. The inner river was deeper but narrower (更窄). It took four years to complete! Li Bing also decided to cut a channel (渠道) through Mount Yulei. This channel would stop the farmland from being flooded and take water to irrigate (灌溉) the crops. The mountain rock was very hard. His workers worked on it by first heating the rock with fire and then cooling it with water quickly. This made the rock crack and break, so it could be moved away more easily. This difficult task took eight years. After Li Bing’s project was finished, the floods were stopped. The river flowed (流动) naturally, and because there was no dam, ships and fish could pass freely. Dujiangyan irrigation system helped farmers grow much more food, making Sichuan the most productive area in China. Even today, Li Bing’s great work lives on and is seen as a wonderful example of ancient engineering. 根据短文内容,回答下列问题。 51. However, some are not sure if they should choose to learn it. What’s programming education like? To ask more students to learn programming languages. B. To introduce some facts about programming education. C. To tell facts and share opinions on learning programming. D. To show programming is too hard for primary students. (C) ①Most junior high school students pay much attention to P. E. classes and everyday exercise mainly because they will be tested. Why do most senior-high school students exercise less often according to the passage? A. Because they are not interested in sports anymore. B. Because sports ability is not tested in the National College Entrance Exam. C. Because they have no time to exercise due to after-school classes. D. Because their parents don’t encourage them to do sports. 39 What is the main purpose of this passage? A. To teach us how and how often to do exercise. B. To warn us about the bad influence of little exercise. C. To ask us to take actions for more exercise time. D. To find the reasons for less sports time for students. 40. What’s the best structure for the passage? A. B. C. D. (D) Recently a great scientific discovery amazed the world. 42. There is a large amount of water in lunar soil (about 20 percent), which is easy to use. 43. 100g of lunar soil can produce 51g to 76g of water. 44. One ton of lunar soil can provide drinking water for 50 people in one day. 45. This discovery has no help for humans’ dream of living on the Moon.
