1.预习Page 89~90上的生词,根据音标能读出这些词,并掌握其词性及汉语意思。
2.朗读1a-2c中的句子和对话,并试着翻译成汉语。
3.和搭档分角色朗读2d中的对话。
二、预习检测
根据汉语意思完成句子,每空一词
1.当地震发生的时候,一些人正仓促地跑出了大楼。
Some people were rushing out of the building when the earthquake happened.
2.我开车送你去车站吧。
Let me give you a lift to the station.
3.当他走进教室时,他才意识到自己没带书包。
When he came into the classroom,he realized/realised that he hadn’t taken his schoolbag.
4.我起床晚了,因为我的闹钟没有响。
I got up late because my alarm clock didn’t go off .
课堂教学
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greeting.
2.Warming⁃up.
Get the students to review some verbs and their past forms.Give them some verbs and quickly ask individual students to say out the past forms of the verbs.
Step 2 Work on 1a
1.Show the pictures in 1a.Get the students to speak out the phrases to express the situations of the pictures:get up late,take a shower,run/hurry to...,miss the bus...
2.Read these phrases and write them down on the blackboard.Then ask about the pictures:Did the girl have a good or bad day?What happened to the girl?Let the students discuss in pairs.Get the students to answer with complete sentences by using the phrases.
Step 3 Work on 1b
1.Read the instructions.Get the students to focus on the verb forms in the recording.
2.Play the recording for the first time.Let the students listen and try to fill in the blanks.
3.Play the recording a second time.Listen and check their answers.
4.Get the students to focus on the sentences.Teach the past perfect tense.Write the structure:had+done.
Step 4 Work on 1c
1.Let the students read the model conversation in 1c.
2.Show pictures in turn and get the students to talk about what happened to Mary.Let them take turns to play the role of Mary.
Step 5 Work on 2a-2b
1.Show PPT or pictures.Ask the students to answer the questions:Where is Mary in the pictures?Is anything good or bad happening to her?What is it about?
2.Play the recording for the first time.Let the students number the pictures in 2a.And ask some students to say their answers.
3.Read the sentences in 2b.Play the recording again.Let the students listen and complete the sentences.
4.Play the recording once more.Check the answers with the whole class.Read aloud the sentences and let the students listen and repeat.
Step 6 Work on 2c
1.Ask the students to retell the story about Mary.
2.Let the students make up an ending for the story.Discuss in groups and then share in class.
Step 7 Work on 2d
1.Let the students talk about the picture and guess the conversation.Then ask them the following questions:What can you see in the picture?Can you guess what the dialog is about?
2.Ask the students to read aloud the conversation in 2d.Then role⁃play it in pairs.
3.Ask the students to underline the verbs or verb phrases in the dialog.
4.Check the answers with individual students.Then teach the students these phrases:go off,wake up,rush out,brush my teeth,get to,give me a lift...

◇教学反思◇
通过本课时的学习,学生了解了如何用过去完成时来叙述过去已经发生的事情。老师应为学生设计多种合作方式或活动内容,多思考导入的途径和技巧。通过不同的活动来完成课时内的教学任务,切忌机械地重复。
