2.阅读2b中的文章,掌握文章大意,并尝试翻译成汉语。
3.跟着录音声情并茂地朗读2b中的文章,注意模仿语音和语调。

Step 1 Leading in
1.Greeting.
2.Revision.
Revise the three boys’ stories happened on April Fool’s Day in 1c.Ask three students to retell.
Step 2 Work on 2a
1.Get the students to tell their stories about April Fool’s Day.
2.Show a few pictures of April Fool’s Day.Tell the class about the origin and customs of April Fool’s Day.
Step 3 Work on 2b
1.Teach the students how to read quickly:Read the first or last sentence of each paragraph quickly and get to know the main idea of the passage.
2.Let the students read the passage in 3-5 minutes.Ask the students to find the main idea of each paragraph and finish the task in 2b.
3.Check the answers and explain the language points.
Step 4 Work on 2c
1.Ask the students to read the questions in 2c.Then let them carefully read the passage again and answer the questions.
2.Ask individual students to show their answers and check their work with the class.
Step 5 Work on 2d
1.Get the students to fill in the blanks in 2d.
2.Ask some students to say the answers and check them.
Step 6 Work on 2e
1.Let the students tell the stories of their April Fool’s Day in groups of four.See whose story is the funniest/most embarrassing/creative.
2.Let each group choose a representative to tell his/her story to the class.Then let the whole class discuss and vote for the funniest/most embarrassing/creative story.
◇教学反思◇
老师应注意适当活跃课堂气氛,多鼓励学生参与到课堂活动中来,让每个孩子都开口说英语,提高学生的口语交际水平。通过各种活动方式加深学生对过去完成时的被动语态的理解。学生课后还应多加练习,尽快掌握这一知识点。
