Suddenly (sudden) it began to rain heavily,so we were all wet.  课堂教学 Step 1 Leading in 1.Greeting. 2.Brainstorming: Quickly ask the students questions about their feelings on different kinds of music and movies. T:Do you like action movies?Why?What do you think of quiet music?How about jazz? Ss:... Step 2 Work on 3a 1.Let the students look at the picture in 3a and ask them:Who is the man?Do you think he is happy?Have the students read the story quickly and answer the questions. 2.Ask one student to read the first question in the right top box.And get the class to read the first two paragraphs to find the answer.Then deal with the left part. 3.Tell the story with pictures,body language and exaggerated expressions.Teach the new language points. Step 3 Work on 3b 1.Read the instructions. 2.Get the students to read the story to find the words or phrases which have the same meanings to the phrases in 3b. 3.Get the students to make new sentences with these words or phrases. Step 4 Work on 3c 1.Divide the class into several small groups.Give each student a role.And then get the students to role⁃play the story. 2.Ask one or two groups to report to the class. Step 5 Work on Grammar Focus 1.Ask the students to read aloud the sentences in the Grammar Focus.Let four students write them down on the blackboard. 2.Find out “make sb.+adj.” and “make sb.do (sth.)” in these sentences.Learn the structures.Remind the students of the infinitive “do”,not “to do” and the adjectives about people,not things. 3.Get the students to find the sentences with these structures in the story in 3a.Then make their own sentences. Step 6 Work on 4a 1.Ask the students to read the passage to learn the main idea of it.Do not fill in the blanks this time. 2.Get the students to read again and fill in the blanks this time.But do not waste too much time. 3.Get the students to read carefully again and check their filling work.Learn these phrases:to start with,cloudy and grey,hand back...
