二、预习检测
根据首字母及汉语提示补全单词

Step 2 Work on 1a
1.Ask some students to retell the story about the unhappy king.Ask a few questions to help them.
2.Let the students read aloud the sentences in 1a.Ask them to guess which one is right and give their reasons.
Step 3 Work on 1b
1.Encourage the students to tell the rest of the story and discuss their predictions about the endings.
2.Let them work in pairs.Ask different students to say out their endings of the story.
Step 4 Work on 1c-1d
1.Let the students read the instructions in 1c and read aloud these sentences.Make sure they understand the meanings of them.
2.Play the recording for the first time.Students only listen and don’t choose the answers.
3.Play the recording again and this time get the students to choose the answers.Check the answers with the class.
4.Play the recording another time.Pause to help them.
5.Get the students to read the questions in 1d.
6.Play the recording once more.Students repeat and answer the questions.Then check the answers.
Step 5 Work on 1e
1.Play the recording again.Ask the students to write down the poor man’s thoughts about happiness.
2.Let the students discuss the poor man’s thoughts about happiness in groups.
3.Get some students to report their discussions to the class.
4.Ask some students to role⁃play the rest of the story.
板书设计
1.with表示伴随,意为“带着……;与……一起;随着;有”;其反义词without意为“没有”。两个词的后面均可接名词或动名词。
2.remain作动词,意为“仍然是;保持;遗留”,后面可接名词、代词、形容词、动词不定式、介词短语或动名词。
3.search作不及物动词,意为“搜查;调查”。search还可以作及物动词,意为“搜查,搜寻;调查”,其后可跟人、房屋等名词或代词作宾语。search的目的物常用for引出,而搜寻的地方常用介词through引出。
◇教学反思◇
本课时是对上一课时的拓展和延伸。通过对Section A的学习与讨论,学生们都能表达内心真实的想法。通过学习Section B部分听力练习中所呈现的完整的民间故事,加深了学生对幸福的理解,引导他们树立正确的幸福观。
