如何区分事实和观点
当谈论一个特定的问题时,说话者有他们自己的观点。如何区分事实与观点呢?事实指客观发生的可以被证明的事情,不掺杂主观的内容。如:You may think she is a cat rather than a dog!观点指作者对某件事情的看法,带有明显的主观性。如:The cats are better pets than dogs.
在听力短文中说话者往往开头给出观点,接着以事实为例来证明观点。文章中的for example/for instance等可以看作引出事实的标志。作者常用I think/believe...should do来引出观点。

听力原文
W:Hi,Kevin.I’ve just got back from the art gallery. There’s a wonderful show of abstract art.You should have come with me.
M:I don’t know.Abstract art seems like children’s painting to me.
W:Well,if you don’t understand what the artist is trying to communicate,it can seem a little like that.
M:What did you see then?
W:There were two paintings that impressed me most. The first is a huge one which I supposed was a tree although it could have been anything.
M:What did you like about it?
W:Just the way the tree looked. It was like the tree was made of hard metal, and the mix of white and gray made everything look like it was winter, freezing winter.
M:That’s something. What about the other one?
W:The second looked like a piece of grassland. All the grass was purple and red,and there was green sky in the background.I looked at it and thought of summer.
M:Hmm,your description really teaches me something about appreciating abstract art.Maybe I should go and give this show a try this Saturday.
W:You really should.

(2025·四川眉山高二期中)
On August 20th, 2024, the Chinese gaming industry reached a milestone with the global release of Black Myth: Wukong, a new AAA action role-playing game developed by Game Science. Within hours of launch, it topped Steam’s most-played single-player list, gaining significant attention on social media.
素能提升练
Black Myth: Wukong draws on Chinese mythologies (神话) and the classic novel Journey to the West. It allows players to assume the role of Sun Wukong and start grand adventures. Inspired by Stephen Chow’s A Chinese Odyssey, the game creates a vivid dreamscape with Chinese scenery, like remote mountains, wild roads and ancient temples. The various demons, gods, and other figures with Chinese-style designs in the game are based on The Classic of Mountains and Seas, breathing new life into the ancient tales of Chinese mythology.
Feng Ji, Game Science founder and CEO, emphasized that the game was created entirely by a Chinese team to bring Chinese stories to the global gaming stage. He said, “The script and artistic concepts always take the lead, harmoniously integrating (把……融入) Chinese stories and classical cultural elements into the game.” He believed that a game’s true value is not determined by its budget or visuals, but by the genuine enjoyment it offers players.
According to the Xinhua News Agency, to create a truly immersive (沉浸式的), world-class game, the game’s production team spent years traveling across China, scanning historical and cultural sites, and integrating them into every game scene. The game features 36 locations thoroughly modeled after real-world sites, with 27 of them located in Shanxi Province, China, offering players a unique and immersive visual experience.
The game has increased interest in Shanxi’s cultural heritage. Bookings for trips to Shanxi have doubled since July, and the number of tourists to Shanxi has grown by 50%. Shanxi has rich tourism resources but lacks recognition both at home and abroad. The game has presented Shanxi’s cultural relics in a pleasing and effective way, arousing people’s interest in the province’s culture and travel.

Are you familiar with the greeting,“Can I add you on WeChat?” It seems like every time we meet new friends or colleagues nowadays, the first thing that springs to mind is adding each other on the app.Nevertheless, more than 80 percent of WeChat users report feeling stressed or anxious when they receive a large number of messages, according to a study done recently by the app’s developer Tencent (腾讯).In other words,WeChat can overwhelm (使应接不暇) us,while also breaking down the boundaries between our work and private lives.
Just think how easy it is now for bosses to hand out assignments during the holiday,so long as they have your WeChat contact. When you’re at the cinema enjoying a romantic movie or having a barbecue in the backyard, you can never cut yourself off from the outside world unless you switch off your phone. Not to post something in WeChat Moments before replying to your boss first!
Apart from interrupting your leisure time,WeChat can also reduce your productivity at work. For many office workers, logging in to WeChat on their computers at the start of the day has become routine. But what if browsing the Moments distracts us from doing the work? The app steals our time without us even noticing it,making us have the false belief that we are busy all the time.
And as if that weren’t bad enough, there’re the “one-off” friends who take up space on our WeChat friend list.A handy way to check how many one-off friends you have is to take a look at your chat history with them.Sometimes, you only sent the initial friend requests so you could invite them to a WeChat group or inform them of something for your boss.Yet still,as your friend count (好友数量) ever goes up,it can make you feel the need to post selfies (自拍) and share details of your life in your Moments, just so you can stay up to date.
With WeChat, all our spare time is swallowed up by the constant torrent of messages and our attention keeps getting diverted by Moments and pop-up ads.So it’s time that we should do something to nip this problem in the bud.
