Unit1 Festivals and Celebrations (Reading and Thinking) Why do we celebrate festivals 1、 教材分析 本单元紧扣“Festivals and Celebrations”主题，介绍多种节日的起源、意义与庆祝方式，包含春节、圣诞节等传统及现代特色节日，助力学生了解文化多样性，增强跨文化交际意识。在语言知识上，有丰富的节日相关词汇、短语和句式，还涉及常用时态在节日描述中的运用，利于语言积累与表达提升。通过说明文、记叙文等不同体裁文本阅读，培养学生获取细节、理解主旨、推断隐含意义等阅读技能，提升逻辑和批判性思维。此外，教材展现多元文化，促进文化包容理解，树立正确文化观，激发对本国传统文化的热爱与传承意识。 2、 学情分析 明强中学高一学生此前英语学习积累了一定词汇和基本语法，熟悉常见节日，能进行简单节日话题交流，为单元学习打下基础。但学生学习能力参差不齐，部分自主学习能力强，能拓展阅读，部分则在词汇、阅读、表达上有困难，需分层教学和个性化指导。多数学生对节日话题感兴趣，乐于分享经历感受，利于课堂互动，不过对抽象文化背景易觉枯燥，需教师用多样手段激发兴趣。在跨文化意识方面，虽部分学生对西方节日有所了解，但对文化深层内涵理解不足，跨文化交际易误解，教学中需注重对比中外节日文化，培养跨文化意识与交际能力。 3、 教学目标 To read about festivals and celebrations around the world.
