people like watching blue whales swim
The blue whale is the largest and heaviest animal on earth. It can weigh as much as 200 tons. Many people like watching blue whales swim, and they think it is one of the most beautiful things to see. Blue whales live in all oceans except the Arctic Ocean . They eat a lot, but they eat some of the tiniest animals in the ocean. A blue whale can eat around four tons of these a day.
Blue whales can live up to 90 years. When a blue whale dies at sea, it becomes food for many kinds of animals living in and around the sea. This food lasts for over a year and it helps to create a lively and healthy ecosystem. Blue whales play an important role in our world, so we must protect them.

The Dolphin
Dolphins are smart and friendly animals that live in water. They are not fish—they are mammals, just like humans. An adult dolphin can be about 2 to 4 meters long and weigh 100 to 200 kilograms.
Many people love watching dolphins jump out of the water; it looks very amazing. Dolphins live in oceans all over the world, and some even live in fresh rivers. They eat fish, squid and other small sea animals. Every day, they need to eat a lot to stay active.
Dolphins can live for 20 to 50 years. They are social animals and often live in groups. Dolphins play an important role in the ocean ecosystem—they help control the number of fish and keep the sea balanced. Some dolphin species are in danger now, so we must protect them and their homes.

The Frog
Frogs are small amphibians with slim bodies and long legs. They are very good at jumping. A common frog is usually 8 to 13 centimeters long and weighs about 22 grams.
Frogs are easy to see in gardens, ponds or wetlands. They can live in water and on land. When spring comes, they lay eggs in ponds. Frogs eat insects, slugs and small invertebrates—they are helpful to farmers because they eat pests.
A frog’s lifespan is about 3 to 15 years. In winter, they hibernate in mud or under logs to stay warm. Frogs play an important role in our ecosystem: they help to protect farms by eating insects. We should protect their habitats, so frogs can live safely.

The Shark
Sharks are amazing sea animals that have lived on Earth for a very long time. They are one of the largest predators in the ocean. Most sharks are about 2 meters long, but some big ones can be much longer. Their weight varies a lot—small sharks weigh a few kilograms, while large ones can be over 20 tons.
Sharks live in all oceans of the world, and some can even live in fresh water. They eat fish, other sea animals, and some eat tiny plankton. Unlike what movies show, most sharks are not dangerous to humans.
Sharks can live for 20 to 100 years. They play a key role in the ocean ecosystem: they eat sick fish and keep the sea clean and balanced. Many shark species are now endangered because of overfishing. We must stop hurting sharks and protect their living environment.
