Working provides good experience
Working part-time is a good experience for students. Of course, it has some bad points. As for me, I have a part-time job working at a supermarket. It is harder than it looks. Sometimes I have to give up my sleeping time in order to do my homework. 1 However, thanks to it, or because of it, I have learned to use my time more wisely.
2 Of course we do, but I don’t think students work just for money. We get other things from working. For example, I have learned to communicate better with other generations.
3 I can’t spend as much time at school as I did before. I don’t have as much time to see my friends. It’s harder to get my schoolwork done. Sometimes, I have to ask for time off from work because I need time to finish school projects.
I can’t act the same way at my workplace as I do at school. However, to communicate with different generations is a useful experience for me. 4 When I am part of it, thanks to my part-time work experience now, I’ll have learned how to communicate better with adults.
What I want to say is that although working part-time has some bad points for students, it also gives us valuable experience for whatever we do later in life. 5

Passage 6
Think about the last time you felt a negative emotion — like stress, anger, or frustration. 1 Was your mind cluttered (凌乱) with thoughts? Or was it paralyzed, unable to think?
The next time you find yourself in the middle of a very stressful time, or you feel angry or frustrated, stop. Whatever you’re doing, stop and sit for one minute. 2 Take the entire minute to do nothing else but feel that emotion.
If you feel you need to hold on to the emotion for a little longer, that is OK. 3 When you feel you’ve had enough of the emotion, ask yourself if you’re willing to carry that negativity with you for the rest of the day. If not, take a deep breath. As you do that, release all that negativity with your breath.
This exercise seems simple — almost too simple. 4 By allowing that negative emotion the space to be truly felt, you are dealing with the emotion rather than stuffing it down and trying not to feel it. 5 When you lose yourself in the emotion, and realize that it is only emotion, it loses its control. You can clear your head and proceed with your task. Try it. Next time you’re in the middle of a negative emotion, give yourself the space to feel the emotion and see what happens.
Remember to take the time you need to really immerse yourself in the emotion. Then, when you feel you’ve felt it enough, release it — really let go of it. You will be surprised at how quickly you can move on from a negative situation and get to what you really want to do!
A.Yet it is very effective.
B.This will remind you of the steps to the process.
C.Allow yourself another minute to feel the emotion.
D.What was going through your mind as you were undergoing that negativity?
E.While you’re sitting there, completely immerse yourself in the negative emotion.
F.Are you willing to keep holding on to this negative emotion as you go through the rest of the day?
G.You are actually taking away the power of the emotion by giving it the space and attention it needs.

While it’s even better to eat cuisine that is organic, locally grown or pesticide-free, start by shopping for groceries that require no packaging.
Check with your doctor. When you feel good, it’s easy to avoid going to the doctor. No matter how you feel, though, it’s a good idea to visit your doctor for an annual check up. 2 . In addition, depending on your age and family history, the doctor may recommend other necessary tests or screenings. For example, your doctor may also do blood tests to check your cholesterol or screen for hormonal imbalances. 3
Keep moving. Exercise lowers blood pressure, controls our weight, strengthens our bones and muscles, reduces our risk for cancers, and improves mood. Some research also says it has the power to keep us young. Physical activities including exercises can improve our flexibility, strength and balance. 4 Just work more movement into your day.

So you’ll have to decide if you want to endure the pain of hard work, or look back and regret never having tried? That said, here are some points to consider before you make your choice.
Everything Comes at a Price
Success, for the vast majority of people, does not come without hard work. 2 You have to push past the obstacles and hold the goal in your mind, realizing that each step forward is one closer to achieving it.
Hard Work Helps You Make Your Luck
If you are an average Joe and simply idle your way through life, you are likely just a spectator (观察者) waiting for something to happen or fall into your lap. The truth of the matter is that the odds of this happening are improbable. Success will not happen suddenly, but with the right amount of strong determination and hard work, your luck tends to get better. 3
Hard Work Promotes Discipline
It is not always going to be easy, and even the most determined people may give up and admit that they are defeated and stop trying. 4 Discipline ensures that you still get up and you are determined to see the result confidently.
You Harvest What You Sow
5 The same goes for hard work. As you make a big effort each day and focus on your goals, you are consistently approaching your future success. As you begin to see the progress you have made, you will begin to feel a sense of achievement and pride in your work.
A.Life is certainly full of challenges.

What your dinner photos on Instagram say about you
Posting pictures on Instagram is a modern day version of writing a journal: It’s all about creating a connection between ourselves, our lives, friends, family and the wider public. 1 Each day, at least 95 million posts are shared on Instagram.
2 Some people will post photos of their pets, their holidays or their social life — but in recent years, posting photos of the food that we eat conveys to the viewer something more than the food itself.
If someone posts photos of a meal that they have just cooked, the message they’re trying to convey is that they are a capable person. If they’ve made a really healthy meal, they will typically post it with hashtags “#” like diet or health, which tie into other people’s experiences. 3
There is also a growing trend of people taking photos of their food when they dine out at a restaurant. 4 These Instagrammers often tag places that are considered selective or to have a certain clientele (顾客群) , like celebrities — to indicate that they’re a person of worth. It feeds into their need for social approval and is a way of boosting their own self-esteem.
If people are on a diet or trying to eat a bit better, they can use platforms like Instagram to track what they’ve been eating. In Japan men greet by bowing. 2 Crossing one’s legs at the knee in the United States is a sign of being relaxed. But in Korea, it’s not allowed. 3 For Chinese, it is to say “someone will be killed”. For Americans, it shows “I’m full”.
4 In Turkey, putting one’s hand in one’s pockets is a sign of disrespect. In some Asian countries, you mustn’t touch the head of another person. For an Arab, it’s good manners to stand close to his friend when they are talking, but for English people, they don’t like to be close to one another. And in parts of Asia, you mustn’t sit with your foot pointing at another person.
All above show that it is important to know the meaning of gestures and movements in foreign country. Foreigners should follow these customs and learn their culture. 5 I think that it is important in our lives to show and learn body language.
A.Smile can help get through difficult situations.
B.In the USA, people shake hands to show “their greeting”.
C.These gestures seem to have the same meanings everywhere.
D.Making too many gestures in communication is not polite.
E.The gesture of putting a hand on a person’s neck is different for Chinese and Americans.
F.So we can communicate with them in a correct way, both by words and by body language.
G.Because of the influence of special culture, some body languages should attract our attention.

Passage 1
It has been more than 40 years since anyone spotted a Japanese river otter (水獭). And the once common Tangtze River dolphins have either disappeared or are very rarely seen. 1 But the advancement of technology could mean that the extinction of other species is not a given (必然).
A huge challenge scientists and conservationists encounter is tracking species facing extinction in order to help them. 2 . One example is the Maui dolphin, one of the rarest and most threatened dolphins in the ocean. Familiar with their summer behavior, researchers knew that there were just 54 of these mammals living off the coast of New Zealand. 3 . After four years of developing, testing and fundraising, these scientists received permission to use a drone with AI that tracked the dolphins no matter the season. The result was the extension of a marine safety place to protect their habitat.
4 , AI is being used to enhance traditional methods of preventing hunting. Cameras record any boats that try to enter the park on Lake Itezhi-Tezhi, an illegal entry point. AI immediately detects this activity and alerts park rangers, who deal with the illegal hunters.
In Brazil, AI quickly analyzed over 150, 000 satellite images, revealing that the world’s largest tropical wetlands lost 74 percent of its surface water. 5
The use of AI has helped to accelerate action and increase conservationists’ ability to protect the natural world for generations to come.
A.Give animals on the edge of extinction a fighting chance to survive
B.In Zambia’s Kafue National Park, home to more than 6, 000 elephants
C.Not until that revelation (揭露) were authorities aware of how desperate the situation was
D.Saving them was challenging because their whereabouts (行踪) were relatively unknown
E.These are just a few of the species that have been listed as extinct or locally extinct in recent years
F.However, because of weather conditions, researchers knew next to nothing about their winter behavior
G.This is where AI has brought about a revolution in the way data on these species is collected and analyzed

5.由标题“Working provides good experience (工作能提供良好的经验)”,第一段中的“Working part-time is a good experience for students. (我想说的是,尽管兼职工作对学生来说有一些缺点,但它也为我们以后的生活提供了宝贵的经验)”可知,该空是段尾句,总结作者的观点和看法,上一句讲到兼职提供宝贵的经验,承接上文,G选项“因此,兼职工作对学生来说确实是一种很好的经历。”与文章标题和文章首句相呼应。故选G项。
【答案】1.D 2.E 3.C 4.A 5.G
1.根据前文“Think about the last time you felt a negative emotion — like stress, anger, or frustration.(想想你最近一次感受到的负面情绪,比如压力、愤怒或沮丧)”以及后文“Was your mind cluttered (凌乱) with thoughts? Or was it paralyzed, unable to think?(你的脑子里是不是满是杂念?还是它瘫痪了,无法思考?)”可知,此处讲述了感受到负面情绪时,心理的想法,所以D项“What was going through your mind as you were undergoing that negativity?(当你经历那种消极情绪时,你的脑子里在想什么?)”
2.根据前文“Whatever you’re doing, stop and sit for one minute.(不管你在做什么,停下来坐一分钟)”以及后文“Take the entire minute to do nothing else but feel that emotion.(花整整一分钟的时间去感受那种情绪,什么也不做)”可知,此处在讲述感受到负面情绪时,坐下好好感受下,所以E项“While you’re sitting there, completely immerse yourself in the negative emotion.(当你坐在那里的时候,让自己完全沉浸在消极情绪中)”能够承上启下,符合文意。故选E项。
3.根据前文“If you feel you need to hold on to the emotion for a little longer, that is OK.(如果你觉得你需要把这种情绪憋得更久一点,那也没关系)”以及后文“When you feel you’ve had enough of the emotion, ask yourself if you’re willing to carry that negativity with you for the rest of the day.(当你觉得自己已经受够了这种情绪时,问问自己是否愿意在今天剩下的时间里一直带着这种消极情绪)”可知,此处讲述,如果感受负面情绪时间不够,可以延长,没有关系,所以C项“Allow yourself another minute to feel the emotion.(再给自己一分钟的时间去感受那种情绪)”符合文意。故选C项。
故选A项。
5.根据前文“By allowing that negative emotion the space to be truly felt, you are dealing with the emotion rather than stuffing it down and trying not to feel it.(通过给自己空间去真正感受消极情绪,你是在处理这种情绪,而不是把它压在心里,试图不去感受它)”以及后文“When you lose yourself in the emotion, and realize that it is only emotion, it loses its control. You can clear your head and proceed with your task. Try it. Next time you’re in the middle of a negative emotion, give yourself the space to feel the emotion and see what happens.(当你在情绪中迷失自我,并意识到它只是情绪时,它就失去了控制。你可以清理你的头脑,继续你的任务。试一试。下次当你处于消极情绪中时,给自己一些空间去感受这种情绪,看看会发生什么)”可知,此处指给负面情绪一定的空间和关注,所以G项“You are actually taking away the power of the emotion by giving it the space and attention it needs.(你实际上是在通过给予它所需的空间和关注来消除这种情绪的力量)”能够承上启下,符合文意。故选G项。
Passage 7

Here are some habits to help you enjoy a longer and better life.
Eat better. You don’t have to adopt some crazy diet or give up all sweets. Instead, try to eat a few more vegetables and fruits. 1 . A whole food is an ingredient in its natural state, one that comes in its own wrapper.
5 . Simply said, we are better together. Steps to build a social network include getting involved with joining a cause or volunteering for an organization or checking out a support group.

Passage 8
Why Hard Work Is the Key to Success
Hard work and success go hand in hand. 1 However, you have to spend a lot of time working hard for success to build up over time gradually.
B.That is where discipline comes into play.
C.Obtaining success without hard work is impossible.
D.When opportunities come your way, do not let them pass you by.
E.If you invest money over time wisely, you will make a good profit eventually.
F.You have to wake up early and head to work even when you do not feel like it.
G.When you hit a failure, the first thing coming to mind is whether you worked hard.
【答案】1.C 2.F 3.D 4.B 5.E

3.分析设空,位于段尾,是对前文的总结,根据前文“If you are an average Joe and simply idle your way through life, you are likely just a spectator (观察者) waiting for something to happen or fall into your lap. The truth of the matter is that the odds of this happening are improbable. Success will not happen suddenly, but with the right amount of strong determination and hard work, your luck tends to get better.(如果你是一个普通人,在生活中只是无所事事,你可能只是一个旁观者,等待一些事情发生或落在你的腿上。
4.根据本段的小标题“Hard Work Promotes Discipline(努力工作促进自律)”以及后文“Discipline ensures that you still get up and you are determined to see the result confidently.(自律能让你坚持起来,让你有信心看到结果)”可知,本段讲述了自律对成功的作用,所以B项“That is where discipline comes into play.(这就是纪律发挥作用的地方)”符合本段主题,其中discipline为同词复现。故选B项。

As you make a big effort each day and focus on your goals, you are consistently approaching your future success. As you begin to see the progress you have made, you will begin to feel a sense of achievement and pride in your work.(这同样适用于努力工作。

So a knot given to a marriage partner or a couple means all these things and having children as well.
5
Along with being symbolic gifts or messages, knots are still used if they wear traditional Chinese clothing or as good luck charms (护身符). 2.

Passage 1
What your dinner photos on Instagram say about you
Posting pictures on Instagram is a modern day version of writing a journal: It’s all about creating a connection between ourselves, our lives, friends, family and the wider public. 1 Each day, at least 95 million posts are shared on Instagram.
2 Some people will post photos of their pets, their holidays or their social life — but in recent years, posting photos of the food that we eat conveys to the viewer something more than the food itself.
If someone posts photos of a meal that they have just cooked, the message they’re trying to convey is that they are a capable person. For example, if someone is on a health kick, they often seek social approval.
It’s a way of motivating other people as well as holding themselves responsible, while subconsciously saying “ 5 ”. Sharing the diet is a way of both getting attention and taking responsibility from a wider audience.
A.I am willing to take risks in my diet.
B.There are some reasons to post photos online.
C.I’m the sort of person who takes care of myself.
D.It’s the same idea as wanting to feel part of a community.
E.The types of content we choose to post hold significance.

结合选项,E项“The types of content we choose to post hold significance.

How to Sleep Better
What you do (or don’t do) before bedtime has significant impact on the quality of your sleep. 1 Here are a few suggestions:
Go from light to dark. Darkness stimulates production of the sleep hormone. 2 And think about investing into warm light that you can use in the bed-room before bedtime.
3 Keep the bedroom a technology-free zone as the light from electronic devices can disturb your sleep. If you need to work, wear blue light blocking glasses(also known as computer glasses)throughout or before you sleep to prevent sleep disruption.
Find an activity that helps you to wind down. This could be anything that calms you down, and reduces thinking. For example, listening to soothing (柔和的) music, taking a hot bath, reading or meditating.
Keep any electronics you have on the other side of the room or outside the room. One of the most harmful things that can disrupt your sleep is the notifications you get from your smartphones. 4
Create a bedtime routine. A night routine is a couple of things you do prior to going to bed. By doing these things every night, you’ll have a more restful and high-quality sleep.
Adjust your sleep temperature. The ideal temperature for sleep is 60~67 Farenheit (华氏度). This may be cooler than what most people are used to. 5 Rule of thumb: sleeping in cooler temperature is better for sleep quality than warmer temperature.
A.Avoid screens.
B.Sleep better from now on.
C.Turn off unused light around the house.
D.The higher the temperature is, the better you sleep.
E.The simplest way to avoid this is to keep it away from you.
F.Many times, it can be the difference between staying up until 4 am and sleeping like a baby.
G.But keep in mind that our body temperature changes once we fall asleep
【答案】1.F 2.C 3.A 4.E 5.G

Passage 5
When gardeners grow varieties of plants in their beautiful gardens, they are happy to see beneficial insects like bees and butterflies surrounding the flowers. But as they take a closer look, they may find some plants are covered in black dots and filled with harmful insects or pests. Some gardeners may immediately reach for chemicals. 1 Although it may stop the insect problem, it will also threaten bees and butterflies which help the plants reproduce.
If you are wise gardeners, you should first take preventive measures to control the harmful insects. 2 Only when there are too many harmful insects, should pest control be considered. The first defense should always be the safest method available.Prevention
As a rule, prevention is the best treatment. Inspect plants closely, including their leaves, before buying them from the store. 3
When planting, space plants out to permit them to grow to their full size. Plants too close together can breed harmful organisms, like bacteria.
4 They invite pests if permitted to remain on the ground. When you do see pests, wash them away. Use rubbing alcohol to remove some insects, or pick them off the plants.Pesticides
If you decide a pesticide is necessary, choose it carefully and follow the directions and warnings on the product. Avoid using pesticides in extreme heat, on windy days, or when the plants are wet. 5 At the time, beneficial insects are inactive. You can consider removing flowers from the plants to lessen the risk that beneficial insects will come in contact with the pesticides.
A.But this is not wise.
B.In most cases, chemicals don’t help.
C.Treat the plants early in the morning or at night.
D.Also do remember the plants need nutrition and care.
E.Keep your garden free of fallen leaves, fruits and other wastes.
F.Do not bring any plants home that show signs of disease or pests.
G.The process starts with the idea that having some pests is acceptable.
【答案】1.A 2.G 3.F 4.E 5.C
1.根据上文提示“Some gardeners may immediately reach for chemicals.(一些园丁可能会立即使用化学药品。)”,再根据下文提示“Although it may stop the insect problem, it will also threaten bees and butterflies which help the plants reproduce.(虽然它可以解决昆虫问题,但它也会威胁到帮助植物繁殖的蜜蜂和蝴蝶。)” 所以A项But this is not wise.(但这是不明智的。)切题。故选A。
2.根据下文提示“Only when there are too many harmful insects, should pest control be considered.(只有当有害昆虫太多的时候,才应该考虑害虫防治。)” The process starts with the idea that having some pests is acceptable.(这个过程始于有一些害虫是可以接受的想法。)切题。故选G。
3.根据上文提示“As a rule, prevention is the best treatment. Inspect plants closely, including their leaves, before buying them from the store.(一般来说,预防是最好的治疗。在从商店购买之前,仔细检查植物,包括它们的叶子。)”可知,有病虫害的植物不能带回家。所以F项Do not bring any plants home that show signs of disease or pests.(不要带任何有病虫害迹象的植物回家。)
4.根据下文提示“They invite pests if permitted to remain on the ground. When you do see pests, wash them away. Use rubbing alcohol to remove some insects, or pick them off the plants.(如果允许害虫留在地面上,它们会招来害虫。当你看到害虫时,把它们洗掉。用外用酒精去除一些昆虫,或者把它们从植物上摘下来。)”可知,要保持花园远离落叶和其他废物。所以E项Keep your garden free of fallen leaves, fruits and other wastes.(让你的花园远离落叶、水果和其他废物。)切题。故选E。
5.根据上文提示“Avoid using pesticides in extreme heat, on windy days, or when the plants are wet.(避免在极端高温、大风天或植物潮湿时使用农药。)” Treat the plants early in the morning or at night.(在清晨或晚上治疗植物。)切题。故选C。

Passage 7
Although we may not realize it when we talk with others we make ourselves understood not only by words. We send messages to the people around us also by expressions and body movements. We call it “body language”, which is a kind of communication, nonverbal communication. A smile and handshake show welcome, waving one’s hand is to say “goodbye”, nodding the head means agreement. 1
As culture influences communication, the way people in different countries communicate is different too. For example, Arab men often greet by kissing on both cheeks.
根据前文内容“A smile and handshake show welcome, waving one’s hand is to say ‘goodbye’, nodding the head means agreement.(微笑和握手表示欢迎,挥手表示“再见”,点头表示同意)”举例可知,前文内容提到的是在任何地方都有着相同含义的肢体语言。选项C“These gestures seem to have the same meanings everywhere.(这些手势在任何地方的意思似乎都是一样的)”在句意上是对前文内容的总结,且句中“These gestures”指代前文内容,符合语境分析。故选C项。
2.分析可知,设空句应是举例内容之一,举例论证该段主旨句“As culture influences communication, the way people in different countries communicate is different too.(由于文化影响着交流,不同国家的人们交流的方式也不同)”且与前文“For example, Arab men often greet by kissing on both cheeks. In Japan men greet by bowing.(例如,阿拉伯男人打招呼时经常亲吻双颊。在日本,男人鞠躬问候致意)”提及的“打招呼/问候”有关。选项B“In the USA, people shake hands to show ‘their greeting’.(在美国,人们握手表示“问候”)”提到了美国人打招呼的方式,符合语境搭配。故选B项。
3.根据后文的进一步解释“For Chinese, it is to say ‘someone will be killed’. For Americans, it shows ‘I’m full’.(对中国人来说,这意味着“有人要被杀”。 对美国人来说,这表示“我吃饱了”)”可知,设空句应是提到了一种肢体语言,结合常识和后文“中国人”的理解可知,应是“将手置于脖子处”这一动作。选项E“The gesture of putting a hand on a person’s neck is different for Chinese and Americans.(把一只手放在一个人的脖子上的姿势对中国人和美国人是不同的)”符合语境分析。故选E项。
根据后文内容“In Turkey, putting one’s hand in one’s pockets is a sign of disrespect. In some Asian countries, you mustn’t touch the head of another person.(在土耳其,把手放在口袋里是一种不尊重的行为。在一些亚洲国家,你不能碰别人的头)”可知,该段应是讲述了一些在不同的国家不能做的肢体语言,以引起关注。选项G“Because of the influence of special culture, some body languages should attract our attention.(由于特殊文化的影响,一些体态语应该引起我们的注意)”概括了该段主旨要义。故选G项。
F“So we can communicate with them in a correct way, both by words and by body language.(所以我们可以用正确的方式与他们交流,无论是语言还是肢体语言)”提到入乡随俗就可以用正确的方式从语言或肢体上进行沟通交流,可看作为积极效果,且“So”与前文构成因果关系。故选F项。

1.上文“It has been more than 40 years since anyone spotted a Japanese river otter (水獭). And the once common Tangtze River dolphins have either disappeared or are very rarely seen.(40多年来,没有人发现过日本水獭。曾经常见的长江海豚要么消失了,要么很少见到)”列举了两种疑似灭绝或濒临灭绝的动物,E项“These are just a few of the species that have been listed as extinct or locally extinct in recent years(这些只是近年来被列为灭绝或局部灭绝的物种中的一小部分)”是对上文内容的总结,句中“These”指代上文中“Japanese river otter”和“Tangtze River dolphins”,上下文语意连贯。故选E项。
2.上文“A huge challenge scientists and conservationists encounter is tracking species facing extinction in order to help them.(科学家和自然资源保护主义者遇到的一个巨大挑战是追踪濒临灭绝的物种,以帮助它们)”提出面临的问题:追踪濒临灭绝的物种,G项“This is where AI has brought about a revolution in the way data on these species is collected and analyzed (这就是人工智能在收集和分析这些物种数据的方式上带来的革命)”承接上文,提出人工智能可以解决此问题,上下文语意连贯。故选G项。
3.上文“One example is the Maui dolphin, one of the rarest and most threatened dolphins in the ocean. Familiar with their summer behavior, researchers knew that there were just 54 of these mammals living off the coast of New Zealand.(毛伊海豚就是一个例子,它是海洋中最稀有和最受威胁的海豚之一。研究人员熟悉它们的夏季行为,知道只有54只这种哺乳动物生活在新西兰海岸)”提出对毛伊海豚的研究,F项“However, because of weather conditions, researchers knew next to nothing about their winter behavior(然而,由于天气条件的原因,研究人员对它们的冬季行为几乎一无所知)”指出研究中遇到的问题,句中“knew next to nothing about their winter behavior”与上文中“Familiar with their summer behavior”相照应。同时引出下文“After four years of developing, testing and fundraising, these scientists received permission to use a drone with AI that tracked the dolphins no matter the season.(经过四年的开发、测试和筹款,这些科学家获得了使用人工智能无人机的许可,可以在任何季节追踪海豚)”中人工智能介入对问题的解决,上下文语意连贯。故选F项。
4.下文“AI is being used to enhance traditional methods of preventing hunting. Cameras record any boats that try to enter the park on Lake Itezhi-Tezhi, an illegal entry point. AI immediately detects this activity and alerts park rangers, who deal with the illegal hunters.(人工智能正被用于加强传统的防止狩猎的方法。
5.上文“In Brazil, AI quickly analyzed over 150, 000 satellite images, revealing that the world’s largest tropical wetlands lost 74 percent of its surface water.(在巴西,人工智能迅速分析了超过15万张卫星图像,揭示了世界上最大的热带湿地失去了74%的地表水)”给出人工智能对巴西热带湿地地表水的分析结论,C项“Not until that revelation (揭露) were authorities aware of how desperate the situation was(直到这一消息被披露,当局才意识到情况有多么危急)”承接上文,说明结论带来的影响,句中“that revelation (揭露) ”照应上文中“the world’s largest tropical wetlands lost 74 percent of its surface water”,上下文语意连贯。故选C项。
