Vocational Education in Germany
Vocational education in Germany is famous around the world. About half of the students in the country choose this kind of education after middle school. Here is how it works.
Students start by choosing a job they want to do.
This is like choosing a major to study.
Next, students look for a company that offers training for that job.
They apply (申请) to the company, just like applying for a job.
After the company accepts them, the students start their training.

During the training:
At the end of the training, students take a test to get a certificate (认证证书).
Companies across Germany recognize (承认) this certificate.
Students spend about 70% of
their time at the company. They learn skills and how to do the job.
