Dear Jack,
How's everything going?/How are you doing? I am sorry/regretful to tell you that I’m having trouble (in) getting used to the life in the new school. I am writing to ask for your assistance.
To be honest, I've met some difficulties. First, I feel lonely here because I'm far away from my family and old friends. Besides, communicating with my new classmates or teachers is a big challenge for me due to my shyness. What worries me most is that it's hard for me to catch up with the English courses.
I would appreciate it if you could give me a hand. I'm looking forward to your early reply.

Li Hua
Dear Mrs. Thompson,
I am Liu Hua, an exchange student from China. I am planning to establish a club focusing on spreading Chinese culture, so I am writing to respectfully ask for your assistance.
I firmly believe that not only will the club provide an opportunity to learn about the Chinese culture but it will also result in mutual understanding and friendship. However, I am unsure about how to get school’s approval, attract members and organize activities. I know you are an authority/expert in cultural studies. Could you be kind enough to share some relevant advice?
I would appreciate it if you could reply to me at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your time and support.
Your,
Li Hua
