Students listen and circle the letters mentioned in the chant from the 26-letter pictures on exercise sheet of task1. The teacher plays the animation of the first chant and asks "What are the letters in the chant?" Students follow the chant and try to answer. 2,Learn the letter Mm (1) Read and write · Teacher present the pictures of mum and map and let students answer the question? What’s this? It’s a...... · Teacher present the letter by letting the students find the first letter in the words mum and map . · Students follow teacher to read the letter by doing the action of Mm · Teacher plays the video of Mm writing ,students watch carefully how to write · Teacher write the letter on the blackboard to demonstrate the big letter and small letter of Mm in the four line grid, students follow teacher to write with their fingers. Teacher asks students to pay attention that there are only two steps to write the big letter of M and only one step to write small letter of m (2) Listen and read · Teacher play the video of Mm’s sound in the words and students find out the sound of Mm in the word. /m/ · Follow teacher to read the sound . ask students pay attention to the mouth. The mouth is closed. Then blend the words mum and map · Follow teacher to chant: Mm is for /m/,/m/ /m/ map, /m/ /m/ mum. Mum has a map. 3. Learn the letter Nn (1) Read and write · Show the picture of arched door and ask students to answer the question: What letter does it look like ? Students answer letter “Nn” · Present the letter Nn and students follow teacher to read with the action · Play the video of Nn writing Students watch carefully the line the big and small letter of Nn in ,and the right stroke of Nn · Teacher write the letter on the blackboard and students follow teacher write with their finger. (2) Listen and read · Show the picture of Miss Wang with a fan in her hand and students answer : What’s this ? It’s a . · The teacher the video of fan coming out from the the box and say to students that the fan is nice ,the fan is new · Play the chant of Nn’s sound in the words and students listen carefully and find out the sound of Nn in the letter. /n/ · Follow teacher to read the sound , point to the nose when reading. Then blend the words fan and new. · Follow teacher to chant. Nn is for /n/, /n/ /n/ new ,/n/ /n/ fan ,the fan is new. 4. Learn the letter Oo (1) Listen and write · Show the picture of Miss Wang seeing an orange tree and ask students answer the question : What does Miss Wang see? -----Oranges · Teacher presents the letter Oo and students follow teacher to read with the action · Play the video of Oo writing Students watch carefully the line the big and small letter of Oo in ,and the right stroke of Oo · Teacher writes the letter on the blackboard and students follow teacher write with their finger. Ask students to pay attention the big and small letter they are in. (2) Listen and read · Show the picture of fox and students answer : What’s this ? What colour is it ?It’s a fox. It’s orange. Teacher says the fox is orange. · Play the chant of Oo’s sound in the words and students listen carefully and find out the sound of Oo in the letter. /ɒ/ · Follow teacher to read the sound Then blend the words fox and orange. · Follow teacher to chant. Oo is for /ɒ/, /ɒ/ /ɒ/ fox ,/ɒ/ /ɒ/ orange,the fox is orange 5. Learn the letter Pp (1)Listen and write · Show the picture of Miss Wang seeing a pig and ask students to answer the question : What’s this? -----It’s a pig and find out the first letter is Pp · Teacher presents the letter Pp and students follow teacher to read with the action · Play the video of Pp writing. Students watch carefully the line the big and small letter of Pp in ,and the right stroke of Pp · Teacher writes the letter on the blackboard and students follow teacher to write with their fingers. Ask students to pay attention the big and small letter they are in. (3) Listen and read · Show the picture of Miss Wang holding a pen and then drinking water with a cup and students answer : What can you see?I see a .......... · Play the chant of Pp’s sound in the words and students listen carefully and find out the sound of Pp in the letter. /p/ · Follow teacher to read the sound. Then blend the words pen and cup. · Follow teacher to chant. Pp is for /p/, /p/ /p/ pen ,/p/ /p/ cup, I see a pen and a cup 6.
