B In September 2025, a street vendor (小贩) in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, suddenly became popular online. Known as “Chicken Cutlet Brother” (鸡排哥) by netizens, he attracted long queues of customers every day, with some even waiting over 3 hours just to buy his fried chicken cutlets. The vendor, named Li Junyong, is 48 years old. He moved to Jingdezhen from Nanchang at the age of 6 and has lived there for 42 years. For many years, he has run a stall (摊子) near No.5 Middle School in Jingdezhen, selling chicken cutlets and chicken strips. His stall is simple, with just a tricycle and a wok, but his sales style is unique — while frying cutlets quickly, he chats with customers and tells funny jokes, which turns the boring waiting into a pleasant experience. He also has special rules for his business: students only pay 5 yuan for a cutlet (1 yuan cheaper than regular customers), students get priority after 4:30 p.m., and each customer can buy at most 2 portions. These rules show his kindness to students and desire to serve more people. After he became popular, Jingdezhen’s cultural and tourism department gave him the title of “Cultural and Tourism Promotion Ambassador” because he helped more people know about Jingdezhen. To deal with the large number of customers, the local urban management department set up a special team to keep order, and the sanitation department also arranged more workers to keep the street clean. 19. Why did “Chicken Cutlet Brother” become popular? A. He gave free cutlets to students every day. B. He sold the cheapest chicken cutlets in Jingdezhen. C. He had a unique sales style and provided emotional value. D. He used the most expensive food materials for his cutlets. 20. How much do regular customers pay for one chicken cutlet? A. 4 yuan. B. 5 yuan. C. 6 yuan. D. 7 yuan. 21. Why was he awarded “Cultural and Tourism Promotion Ambassador”? A. He sold cutlets to many tourists. B. He introduced Jingdezhen to more people. C. He had lived in Jingdezhen for over 40 years. D. He donated money to the local tourism industry. 22. What did the local urban management department do for him? A. They formed a special team to help keep order. B. They gave him a new tricycle for free. C. They helped him open a new restaurant. D. They invited him to join the management team. C Lately I have started to go jogging in Yoyogi Park. One of the first things that caught my attention when I started was that everybody runs in a counterclockwise (逆时针方向的) direction in the city where there are no rules that say in which direction to run. Maybe they do it because they try to follow track & field athletics and almost any other kind of race where the running direction is always counterclockwise, or maybe is there any other reason? I have been asking many people and “researching” online. The best answers I found are from the research of a construction professor at Waseda University in Tokyo. Professor Watanabe Hitoshi devoted many years of his life to research about which is the best way to design stairs and emergency exits. He reached a point in his research where he had to decide if it was better to design stairs that you have to go down clockwise or counterclockwise. Experiments had been carried out some time before, and it was known that there is a tendency (趋势) to turn counterclockwise. But Mr. Watanabe wanted to look into more so he further researched on it: ·Most human beings are right-handed. ·Most of the left-handed people are right-footed, while most of the right-handed people are also right-footed. ·Most human beings have a slightly longer right leg than their left leg. These three factors make our right leg become dominant over the left leg, which causes a tendency to turn to the left, and to be able to run faster in a counterclockwise direction. Mr. Watanabe carried out a lot of experiments and observations to reach some conclusions. For example, he found out through an experiment that when people are being chased and trying to escape, they turn to the left unconsciously 70% of the time. 23. What caught the author’s attention when he first started jogging in Yoyogi Park? A. The direction of running in the park. B. The specific running rules in the park. C. His interest in the physics of running. D. His curiosity about track & field athletics. 24. What was the purpose of Watanabe’s further research? A. To study emergency exits. B. To design better running tracks. C. To prove earlier experiments wrong. D. To find out the reasons behind the tendency. 25. What does the underlined word “dominant” mean in the passage? A. Opposite. B. Equal. C. Stronger. D. Weaker. 26. What is the best title for this passage? A. The Right Way to Design Stairs. B. Research on Yoyogi Park Jogging. C. The Science Behind Running Direction. D. The Benefits of Running Counterclockwise. D Has the smartphone lost its power to surprise us? For those of us who cover the tech industry, the answer seems increasingly to be “yes”. The newest iPhones are a clear example — offering modest improvements in speed and photography, yet failing to feel meaningfully different from the phones already in our pockets. This is why some people in the tech industry are eager for something new and are asking, “What will be the next revolutionary (突破性的) invention to change our lives just as deeply as the smart phone or the personal computer?” At the moment, a lot of people believe that it will be smart glasses. Imagine if instead of having to pick up your phone and look at the screen like a caveman, all of the digital information you need simply appears floating right in front of you, in your glasses. If the technology can be realized, the possibilities are endless. Imagine having satellite navigation (导航) directions appear right there on the road in front of you. Or imagine being able to secretly watch YouTube during a particularly boring meeting. Smart glasses could be big in industry too. They could display detailed instructions to engineers, so they can fix things more quickly. This sounds like science fiction. What’s fun is that while our phones are not greatly changing, if you watch hard enough you can still see small steps being taken by the big tech firms towards technologies that will be directly applicable to smart glasses. So if the technology is here, why aren’t we all wearing smart glasses yet? The reason is that there is just one stumbling block (绊脚石) left: the screen. So far no one has invented a good way of projecting (投影) digital images on glass lenses. Though there have been a few attempts, such as Google Glass, they were disadvantaged by a very limited “field of view”. This is a problem that, behind the scenes, the likes of Apple, Google and Facebook are pouring huge resources into solving. So while I can’t say exactly when smart glasses will arrive, they could come into focus much sooner than we think. 27. Why are some people in the tech industry eager for something new? A. Because smart phones were much different from the old ones. B. Because the newest technology didn’t make real breakthroughs. C. Because personal computers were not a revolutionary invention. D. Because no technology ever transformed our lives basically. 28. How does the third paragraph mainly develop? A. By giving examples. B. By explaining causes. C. By introducing a topic. D. By describing a process. 29. What does the author think of the phones at present? A. They are changing greatly. B. They are helpful in developing smart glasses. C. They are more convenient than smart glasses. D. They are limiting the development of new technologies. 30. What’s the main idea of the passage? A. Smart glasses are preventing new technology from advancing. B. Smart glasses are the next invention to change the world. C. Digital technology will contribute to endless applications. D Digital technology is the basis of revolutionary inventions. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Even if your budget (预算) is tight and your pockets are light, there are ways to experience everything Dublin has to offer. 【答案】19. C 20. C 21. B 22. A 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文。文章主要讲述了江西景德镇“鸡排哥”因独特经营方式走红网络及受到各方支持的情况。 【19题详解】 细节理解题。根据第二段中“His stall is simple, with just a tricycle and a wok, but his sales style is unique — while frying cutlets quickly, he chats with customers and tells funny jokes, which turns the boring waiting into a pleasant experience.(他的摊位很简单,只有一辆三轮车和一口锅,但他的销售方式很独特——一边快速煎鸡排,一边和顾客聊天,讲有趣的笑话,把无聊的等待变成了愉快的体验。)”可知,“鸡排哥”受欢迎是因为他有独特的销售风格,能给顾客提供情绪价值。故选C。 【20题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段中“He also has special rules for his business: students only pay 5 yuan for a cutlet (1 yuan cheaper than regular customers), students get priority after 4:30 p.m., and each customer can buy at most 2 portions.(他的生意还有几条特殊规则:学生购买鸡排仅需5元(比普通顾客便宜1元),下午4点半后学生可优先购买,每位顾客最多限购2份。)”可知,普通顾客买一份鸡排要付6元。故选C。 【21题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段中“After he became popular, Jingdezhen’s cultural and tourism department gave him the title of “Cultural and Tourism Promotion Ambassador” because he helped more people know about Jingdezhen.(他走红后,景德镇文旅部门授予他“文旅推广大使”称号,因为他帮助更多人了解了景德镇。)”可知,他获此称号是因为他向更多人介绍了景德镇。故选B。 【22题详解】 细节理解题。根据最后一段“To deal with the large number of customers, the local urban management department set up a special team to keep order, and the sanitation department also arranged more workers to keep the street clean.(为应对庞大的客流,当地城管部门成立了专项小组维持秩序,环卫部门也增派了工作人员,保障街道整洁。)”可知,当地城管部门成立了一个特别小组来帮他维持秩序。故选A。 C Lately I have started to go jogging in Yoyogi Park. 【答案】23. A 24. D 25. C 26. C 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要讲述了作者在代代木公园跑步时注意到人们逆时针方向跑,进而探讨其背后的科学原因。 【23题详解】 细节理解题。根据第一段中“One of the first things that caught my attention when I started was that everybody runs in a counterclockwise (逆时针方向的) direction in the city where there are no rules that say in which direction to run.(当我刚开始跑步时,最先引起我注意的一件事是,在没有规定跑步方向的城市里,每个人都逆时针方向跑步)”可知,当作者刚开始在代代木公园跑步时,引起他注意的是公园里人们跑步的方向。故选A。 【24题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段中“Experiments had been carried out some time before, and it was known that there is a tendency (趋势) to turn counterclockwise. But Mr. Watanabe wanted to look into more so he further researched on it(此前已经进行过一些实验,人们知道存在逆时针转弯的趋势。但是渡边先生想进一步研究,所以他对此进行了更深入的研究)”以及后文提到的三个因素可知,渡边进一步研究的目的是找出人们倾向于逆时针方向跑步背后的原因。故选D。 【25题详解】 词句猜测题。根据倒数第二段中“These three factors make our right leg become dominant over the left leg, which causes a tendency to turn to the left, and to be able to run faster in a counterclockwise direction.(这三个因素使我们的右腿比左腿dominant,这导致了一种向左转弯的趋势,并且能够逆时针方向跑得更快)”以及常识可知,因为右腿比左腿更强壮,所以才会导致向左转弯的趋势,故推测dominant表示“更强壮的”,与stronger意思相近。故选C。 【26题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第一段中“One of the first things that caught my attention when I started was that everybody runs in a counterclockwise (逆时针方向的) direction in the city where there are no rules that say in which direction to run.(当我刚开始跑步时,最先引起我注意的一件事是,在没有规定跑步方向的城市里,每个人都逆时针方向跑步)”以及后文对人们倾向于逆时针方向跑步的原因的探讨可知,本文主要介绍了人们倾向于逆时针方向跑步背后的科学原因。故C选项“跑步方向背后的科学”最符合文章主旨,适合作为标题。故选C。 D Has the smartphone lost its power to surprise us? D. Digital technology is the basis of revolutionary inventions. 【答案】27. B 28. A 29. B 30.
