时间状语从句

状语从句是由从句充当状语的句子，可以分为时间状语从句、地点状语从句、原因状语从句、 目的状语从句、 结果状语从句、条件状语从句等

1. when引导时间状语从句

(1) when意为“当……时”，表示主句的动作和从句的动作同时或先后发生

When you are crossing the street, you must be careful.当你过马路时，一定要小心（动作同时发生）

Call me when you’ve finished.  你完成后就打电话给我 （动作先后发生）

(2)when引导的从句谓语可以用延续性动词，也可以用非延续性动词

He cut his fingers carelessly when he was cooking. 他在做饭时，不小心切到了手指 （延续性动作）

I worked for a foreign company when I lived in Shanghai.  

住在上海时，我在一家外企工作（非延续性动作）

2. while引导时间状语从句

(1) while意为“与……同时，在……期间 ”，表示主句动作和从句动作同时发生，引导的从句谓语用延续性动词，且使用进行时态

While we were dancing, a stranger came in.  我们正在跳舞时，一个陌生人进来了

While I am doing my homework, my sister is playing games. 在我做作业的同时，我的妹妹在玩游戏

(2)while可以作并列连词连接主从句，主从句结构相似，表示两者之间的对比关系，意为“而，然而”

 I like watching videos while my sister likes reading books. 我喜欢看视频而我妹妹喜欢看书

3. as引导时间状语从句

as意为“当……时、一边……一边……”，强调主句动作和从句动作的同时性

As I waited at the stop, I heard a big noise. 当我在车站等车时，听到一个很大的声响

Alan heard the story as she washed.  艾伦一边洗衣服一边听故事

小结：三个“当……时”

while	延续性v.	同时（有对比含义）
as	延续性v. / 瞬间性v.	同时

4. before & after引导时间状语从句

before、after意为“在……之前/后”，表示主句的动作发生在从句的动作之前/后

I closed the window before I left the room. 我在离开房间前把窗户关上了

I found his coat after he left.  我在他离开后找到了他的外套

5. since引导时间状语从句

(1) since意为“ 自……以来 ”，主句常用现在完成时，从句常用一般过去时

Great changes have taken place since you left this city. 你离开这座城市后，它有了翻天覆地的变化

I have lived here since I was five. 自五岁起，我就一直住在这

(2) It has been +时间段+since句型 ，表示“自从……以来有（多长时间）”

 It has been 2 years since we last met. 自我们上次见面以来已经有两年了

6. until/til引导时间状语从句

(1)until/till表示“直到……为止”，指的是某一延续性行为持续到某一时间点

I’ll wait until/till the concert is over. 我会等到演唱会结束为止

(2)当主句为否定句时，常构成“not……until”结构，意为“直到……才”

  You can’t leave until you finish your work. 你要直到工作完成才能离开

7. as soon as引导时间状语从句

as soon as意为“一……就……”，强调动作的紧密型，在时态上主从句时态一致，若主句为将来时，则从句用现在时代替将来时（主将从现）

As soon as he heard the news, he jumped for joy.  他一听到这个消息，就高兴得跳了起来（主过从过）

I’ll go with you as soon as I finish my work.  我一完成工作就跟你走（主将从现）
