The chain of kindness The rain was coming down so hard that each drop seemed to explode as it hit the roof of the car. Tom was driving home one night in a rainstorm. He struggled to keep his car on the road and felt despair as he was trapped both in his disabled body and inside his car. Tom asked her for help, and soon the girl returned, holding the arm of an old man. The old man fixed the car and Tom tried to pay him, but he made no move to accept the money. The girl told Tom that her grandfather was blind. Tom insisted on paying money, but the old man told him to just continue the chain of kindness instead. Driving home, Tom reflected on his experience and the old man’s words, and decided to make some big changes in his life.
