The UN pays attention to the youth, defined as people between the ages of 15 and 24, and the issues they face and are concerned about. There are many programmes young people can get involved in to make a difference, which are also connected to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals such as the UN Youth Climate Summit. The appointed UN youth representatives also often interact with young people worldwide to address the multifaceted challenges the youth face, especially those related to education, health, employment and gender equality.
