Al, 5G, cloud computing and other digital technologies are not only changing our lives but shaping the economy as well. China’s six major commercial banks are stepping up digital wallet plans to provide a new push for the e-CNY(electronic China Yuan) trials in the country, as reported by Shanghai Securities News.
“ The abilities of the e-CNY are exactly the same as those of the paper money, except that the form is digital,” said Mu Changchun, head of the People’s Bank of China’s Digital Currency Research Institute.
Many people are amazed at e-CNY and electronic payment “Digital money has the characteristics of both paper money and electronic payment,” said Wu Qianhong, a profess or at Beihang University.
Compared with Alipay and WeChat payment, e-CNY features anonymity(匿名) and safety. E-commerce platforms that accept payment by e-CNY will not get users’ personal information. E-CNY users can open an anonymous digital wallet by registering a mobile phone number, and telecom operators cannot show customer information to the central bank or any third-party institutions. Mu said that e-CNY users’ privacy protection is at the highest level among all payment tools.
Similar to Alipay and WeChat payment, using e-CNY requires an account. After getting the other party’s account number, users can enter the amount of digital money to be transferred and then enter the payment password to complete the payment. However, the processes behind these transfers are different. For electronic payment, the transfer has to go through a third party, and the receivers will get the transferred money only when they take money from banks. But e-CNY transfer s only need a pay er and a receiver to complete a transaction. So it’s safe to use e-CNY.
Simply speaking, e-CNY can be considered as “money”, while electronic payment is like “wallet”. “Since Alipay and WeChat Pay are payment channels, they can use e-CNY for payment after upgrading,” said Wu.
47. What was the report from Shanghai Securities News about?
A. Al technology. B. 5G technology. C. Cloud computing. D. Digital wallets.
48. According to Wu Qianhong,a professor at Beihang University, it is likely that _________ in the future.
A. paper money can replace digital money, Alipay and WeChat payment
B. digital money can replace both paper money and electronic payment
C. electronic payment can replace both digital money and paper money
D. Alipay and WeChat Pay can replace both digital money and paper money
49. The word “e-CNY” in the passage means _________.
A. Alipay B. WeChat C. digital money D. electronic payment
50. What can we mainly learn from Paragraph 4?
A. It’s easy for customers to use e-CNY.
B. Everyone can open an anonymous digital wallet.
C. E-CNY is the most popular with people in the world.
D. E-CNY users’ privacy protection is at the highest level.
51. Where can you probably find the passage?
A. Financial magazine. B. Traveler brochure.
C. Science fiction. D. Animated book.

Many people spend more than four hours per day on WeChat, and it is redefining (重新定义) the word “friend”. Does friending someone on social media (社交媒体) make him or her your friend in real life?
Robin Dunbar, a professor at Oxford University, found that only 15, of the 150 Facebook friends the average user has, could be counted as actual friends and only five as close friends. WeChat may show a similar pattern.
Those with whom you attended a course together, looked for the same parttime job and went to a party take up most of your WeChat friends. In chat records, the only message may be a system notice, “You have accepted somebody’s friend request”. Sometimes when seeing some photos shared on “Moments”, you even need several minutes to think about when you became friends. Also, you may be annoyed by mass messages (群发信息) sent from your unfamiliar “friends”.
You would have thought about unfriending this type of “friends” and sort out your connections. But actually you did not do that as you were taught that social networking (建立关系网) is valuable to one’s success. Besides, it would be really embarrassing if they found that you have unfriended them already. Then, you keep increasing your “friends” on social media and click “like” on some pictures that you are not really interested in. But the fact is that deep emotional (情绪的) connections do not come with the increasing number of your friends on social media.
If the number of your friends reaches 150 on social media, maintaining (保持) these relationships can be difficult for you, and sometimes will even make you anxious. According to Robin Dunbar, 150 is the limit of the number of people with whom one can maintain stable social relationships online.
52. What can we learn from Robin Dunbar’s findings in Paragraph 2?
A. A Facebook user has about 250 friends on average.
B. Most of the social media friends can be actual friends.
C. Among our social media friends, only a few people matter.
D. Only 15 people of a person’s Facebook friends can be close friends.
53. What does Paragraph 3 tell us about most WeChat friends?
A. People have deep emotional connections with them.
B. People benefit a great deal from their mass messages.
C. People become friends with them at important events.
D. People seldom chat with them after accepting friend requests.
54. What does the underlined word “that” in Paragraph 4 refer to?
A. Removing unfamiliar friends on WeChat.
B. Building up ties with your WeChat friends.
C. Clicking “like” on pictures posted on Moments.
D. Keeping increasing your friends on social media.
55. What can we infer from the last 2 paragraphs?
A. It is difficult to maintain stable relationships with anxious people.
B. If we are good at networking with people, we will certainly succeed.
C. We should make friends with more successful people on social media.
D. Making more friends online may not make us more emotionally connected.
56. Which is the best title for the passage?
A. Ways to Develop Emotional Connections with People
B. The Limit of the Number of Friends People Can Have
C. How Many Friends People Can Have on Social Media
D. Robin Dunbar’s Suggestions on Making Friends Online

Plastic straws (吸管) cause danger to the environment. Because they’re so small, they easily find their way into the ocean. There they can harm sea animals that try to eat them. They may be small, but millions of plastic straws that are used and thrown away daily add up to a huge problem.
Bamboo straws Fast- growing bamboos are ideal for making drinking straws. Some companies now produce bamboo straws, often without the use of synthetic chemicals. Bamboo straws can be washed by hand and used again and again. When they do wear out, they degrade easily.
Glass straws Glass straws can also be reused, and if they’re clear, it’s easy to see whether they’re clean or not. Some companies make bent glass straws, which means you don’t have to tip your glass to drink with them. They are available in different lengths, colors and widths, so customers have many choices to choose from.
Bottles with straws many water bottles have built-in straws. Although that straw may be made of plastic, you can keep it and use it repeatedly. That means it may not end up in the ocean any time soon. Water bottles can also replace disposable cups, which cuts down on waste even more. And they can be cheap if you choose to fill the bottles with water rather than buying drinks.
No straws for many drinks, straws aren’t required. People can drink straight from a cup. And business can cut down on the number of straws they use by simply asking people if they want one. Many people hardly notice whether they have a straw or not.
Plastic straws are far from the only way to enjoy your favorite drink. Giving them up is an easy way to help take care of our planet.

A. preparing; prepared B. preparing for; preparing
C. prepared; preparing for D. prepared; preparing
【答案】B

57. After getting the other party’s account number, users can enter the amount of digital money to be transferred and then enter the payment password to complete the payment.
After getting the other party’s account number:在取得对方的账号后,作时间状语;users:用户,作主语;can enter:可以输入,“情态动词+动词原形”构成的复合谓语;the amount of digital money:数字货币的金额,作宾语;to be transferred:要转移的,不定式的被动形式作后置定语;and then:然后,连词;enter:输入,与前面的“enter”是并列关系;the payment password:支付密码,作宾语;to complete the payment:来完成支付,不定式短语作目的状语。
58. Sometimes when seeing some photos shared on “Moments”, you even need several minutes to think about when you became friends.
Sometimes:有时,作状语;when seeing some photos shared on “Moments”:当你看到朋友圈分享的照片时,省略形式的时间状语从句,完整形式为“when you are seeing some photos shared on “Moments””,由于从句主语与主句主语一致,且含有“are”,所以省略了“you are” ,其中“shared on “Moments””是过去分词短语作后置定语;在主句中,you:你,作主语;even:甚至,作状语;need:需要,作谓语;several minutes:几分钟,作宾语;to think about when you became friends:来思考你们什么时候成为朋友的,动词不定式短语作目的状语,其中“when you became friends”是一个宾语从句,作“think about”的宾语。

根据第一段“They may be small, but millions of plastic straws that are used and thrown away daily add up to a huge problem. (它们可能很小,但是成百万的塑料吸管被日常使用和丢弃,累积成一个巨大的问题。)”可知,“small (小)”和“a huge problem (一个大问题)”之间是让步关系,应用Although/ Though连接让步状语从句。故填Although。
【60题详解】
根据第三段“They are available in different lengths, colors and widths, so customers have many choices to choose from. (它们有不同的长度,颜色和宽度可用,所以消费者有很多可以选择。)”可知,“Customers have many choices to choose from (消费者有很多可以从中选择)”是因为玻璃吸管的用途,制作,设计或生产是多种多样的,“are”后应是“available可用的”作表语。故填available。
【61题详解】
根据第四段“Although that straw may be made of plastic, you can keep it and use it repeatedly. (尽管吸管可能是塑料的,你还是可以保留下来,重复使用。)”可知,塑料吸管可以被保留下来并多次使用,many times意为“多次”,作句子的状语。故填times。
【62题详解】
根据第五段“No straws for many drinks, straws aren’t required. (很多饮料不需要吸管,吸管不是必需的。)”可知,很多饮料不需要吸管,根据“do not”可知,此处缺少动词原形作谓语,需要:require。故填require。
