As can be seen from the vivid picture, a big family get together to have a splendid dinner. But at the table, the young are enthusiastic about playing with their electronic devices, regardless of the elders' obvious awkwardness and disappointment.
The picture implies that electronic devices have bad influence on our lives. Overuse of electronic devices widens the distance between teenagers and their elders. Worse still, young addicts have a tendency to show poor academic performance, adding to the elders' worry.
As far as I'm concerned, it is of great significance to restrict the time we spend on electronic devices and value precious face-to-face communication with our family members, which contributes to a harmonious family atmosphere.

It was the day of the big crosscountry run. Students from seven different primary schools in and around the small town were warming up and walking the route (路线) through thick evergreen forest.
I looked around and finally spotted David, who was standing by himself off to the side by a fence. He was small for ten years old. His usual big toothy smile was absent today. I walked over and asked him why he wasn't with the other children. He hesitated and then said he had decided not to run.
What was wrong? He had worked so hard for this event!
I quickly searched the crowd for the school's coach and asked him what had happened. “I was afraid that kids from other schools would laugh at him,” he explained uncomfortably. “I gave him the choice to run or not, and let him decide.”
I bit back my frustration (懊恼). I knew the coach meant well—he thought he was doing the right thing. After making sure that David could run if he wanted, I turned to find him coming towards me, his small body rocking from side to side as he swung his feet forward.
David had a brain disease which prevented him from walking or running like other children, but at school his classmates thought of him as a regular kid. He always participated to the best of his ability in whatever they were doing. That was why none of the children thought it unusual that David had decided to join the crosscountry team. It just took him longer—that's all. David had not missed a single practice, and although he always finished his run long after the other children, he did always finish. As a special education teacher at the school, I was familiar with the challenges David faced and was proud of his strong determination.
We sat down next to each other, but David wouldn't look at me.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I watched as David moved up to the starting line with the other runners.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
What (事件)
figured out the reason why David hesitated whether to run or not
Who (人物)
David,I (a special education teacher),the coach
Where (地点)
the scene where the big crosscountry run would take place
Why (起因)
David, a disabled and determined boy, gave up taking part in the competition because of being laughed at by other boys.
How (发展)

But if you're not running because you're afraid of being laughed at, that's not a good enough reason.
①When he heard my words, he finally made up his mind to run and I urged him to go to the starting line.(时间状语从句)

We sat down next to each other, but David wouldn't look at me. He hung his head, trying to avoid eye contact with me. I asked him if he really decided not to run. He nodded, biting his lip. Having thought it over, I mentioned some events which won people's praise for his determination and perseverance. Then I quietly said, “David, if you don't want to run today, no one is going to make you do. But if you're not running because you're afraid of being laughed at, that's not a good enough reason. The real question is whether you are going to let those few people stop you from doing something you really want to do. ” Hearing my words, he finally made up his mind to run and I urged him to go to the starting line.
I watched as David moved up to the starting line with the other runners.David stood firmly in his position, ignoring anything around. But he had only gone a few metres before he tripped and fell flat on the ground. My heart sank. Luckily, the audience burst into thunderous cheers and applause. Inspired by the enthusiasm and encouragement, David quickened his pace in high spirits. It turned out that he crossed the finish line eventually. Seeing his confident smiles, I sighed in relief. With the power to conquer himself, he can conquer anything on the way to a promising future.

The final buzzer sounded, signaling the end of my high school basketball career. As I walked off the court for the last time, the scoreboard displayed our disturbing loss: 68-72. My heart sank as I realized I’d never wear the blue and gold jersey again.
The locker room was unusually quiet that night. No one spoke as we changed out of our uniforms. I sat on the wooden bench, staring at the number 23 on my jersey, remembering how proud I’d been when I first earned it three years ago. My fingers traced the slightly worn edges where I’d pulled it on and off countless times.
“Hey, Mike,” Coach Johnson’s voice broke the silence. “Can I talk to you for a minute?”
I followed him to his office, the weight of the loss still heavy in my chest.
“Mike,” he began, his voice softer than usual, “I know tonight didn’t go the way we wanted, but I want you to know something.” He leaned forward, his elbows on the desk. “You’ve been the heart of this team for three years. Your leadership, your dedication — it’s been remarkable to watch.”
I opened my mouth to protest, but he held up his hand.
“Basketball is about more than just winning games,” he continued. “It’s about the lessons we learn, the character we build. And you, Mike, have grown into an exceptional young man through this sport.”
As I left the locker room that night, I noticed a group of students waiting outside. Among them was Emily Carter, a quiet girl from my English class who I’d partnered with on a project last semester.
“Mike,” she said hesitantly, stepping forward. “We just wanted to say… thank you.”
I blinked, confused. “Thank me? For what?”
“For always playing with heart,” she said, her voice gaining confidence. “Win or lose, you never gave up. You inspired us to keep trying in our own lives, even when things get tough.”
The other students nodded in agreement, and in that moment, I realized that maybe Coach Johnson was right. Maybe basketball was about more than just the score at the end of the game.

1.续写词数应为150左右;

I stood there, my basketball bag slung over my shoulder, completely astonished by their words.

In the picture, between two closely-located buildings grows a big tree. Unlike most trees, this one — bends in the middle, struggling all the way up to get more sunshine. The picture reminds me of those who succeed in unfavorable condition. Faced with difficulties, they never give up but try their best to find a way out. Life can be hard. The picture vividly illustrates that labor education plays an important role in nurturing teenagers’ development, cultivating their all-round development of morality, intelligence and physique. Just like the tree in the picture, it is thriving on the boy’s watering.
When it comes to my experiences of labour, making a fruit plate after Tiktok struck me as an unforgettable one. I first collected some kinds of fruit like apples, oranges, strawberries and bananas. Then came the most challenging part, cutting them into the style in the video, which took me about thirty minutes. After that, I shaped them on a plate into a blossoming flower with delicious sauce. To my delight, when I served it to my families, they all spoke highly of it.
No pains, no gains. Through the hands-on experience, not only do I gain a sense of achievement, but I also appreciate that labour itself is a kind of enjoyment and a must for our personal growth.

As we all know, nature is often regarded as our best teacher, so it’s not surprising for us to draw wisdom from it. As long as we carefully observe and study, we will take inspiration from it. As the picture shows, there are two birds, one sleeping while the other with a worm in its mouth. This presents a well-known Chinese idiom “The early bird catches the worm”.
The idiom reminds us of the importance of diligence. It is also a metaphor that preparation plays an important role on the road to success. Opportunities are always for those prepared minds, and only when we are well-prepared can we make achievements, attaining our goals.

One possible version
I stood there, my basketball bag slung over my shoulder, completely astonished by their words. My throat tightened as I struggled to find the right response. “I…I don’t know what to say,” I finally managed, my voice cracking slightly. “I thought tonight was a failure, but hearing this…it means more than any game we could have won.” Emily stepped forward and handed me a small blue and gold ribbon — our school colors. “We made these for the whole team,” she explained. “to remind you that you’re all champions to us, no matter what the scoreboard says.” As I took the ribbon, I felt a warmth spread through me, melting away the disappointment of the loss.
When I got home, the porch light was on, and I could see my parents waiting through the living room window. As I opened the door, my little sister came running, her eyes wide with excitement. “Mike! Mike! Did you win?” she asked eagerly. I knelt down to her level and showed her the ribbon. “We didn’t win the game,” I said, “but something even more important happened tonight.” As we sat around the kitchen table, I told them about the students’ unexpected show of support. My mom’s eyes glistened with tears as she listened, and my dad put a firm hand on my shoulder. “That,” he said, “is what true victory looks like.” That night, as I lay in bed, the ribbon pinned to my bulletin board, I realized that while my time as a high school basketball player was over, the lessons and connections I’d made would stay with me forever.
