Imperial bricks were made for imperial buildings completely, especially palaces, in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. They have a fine quality, and are strong and hard. Kunqu Opera
Kunqu Opera, one of the oldest existing forms of Chinese opera, originated from Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. Using emotional lines from classic poems and through sweet and beautiful singing, it made progress in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and naturally reached other parts of the country via the Grand Canal.
Shadow Play
Shadow play (皮影戏) is an ancient form of storytelling that uses flat cutout figures between a source of light and a screen. Various sight effects can be achieved by moving both the dolls and the light source. In 2011, Chinese shadow play entered the list of Cultural Heritage by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) which is located in Paris, France.

There are two kinds of people: those who like to pack up leftovers as soon as dinner is over, and those who let leftovers sit out for a few hours so they can cool down.
However, both leaving leftovers out for a long period of time and adding hot items to the fridge can cause problems.
Whether you should immediately put food in the fridge or let it sit out to cool depends on its temperature. Dangerous bacterial (细菌的) growth happens between 41 and 135 degrees F (华氏度). Potentially harmful bacteria grow most rapidly at these temperatures.
Placing lots of hot food in the fridge can raise the temperature of the fridge into this danger zone. Fridge temperatures should always be set below 40 degrees F. This may help the food get out of the danger zone as fast as possible.
However, there's no harm in putting hot food directly into the fridge if you need to. If you are a forgetful person, or if you won't be around to store the food after it has cooled enough, go ahead and put it in the fridge. Your fridge can handle the heat and get the food cooled quickly.
Food should never stay out at room temperature for more than two hours. Leftovers can become breeding grounds (滋生地) for dangerous bacteria if they're left out too long and can make people sick.
“It is OK to leave the food cooling outside before you hit the twohour mark,” says Serena Poon, nutritionist of Le Cordon Bleu's Grand Diploma training program. “In fact, the sooner you can get your leftovers in the fridge, the better.”

In my hometown, a small village surrounded by green hills, food means more than just eating. It's like a string that ties together stories and culture. My favorite food is my grandma's tomato and egg noodles. This simple dish is full of love and family traditions.
Grandma learned to make these noodles from her mom. In difficult times, they didn't have many ingredients, but they always shared warmth through food. The way to make it is easy: first, beat two eggs into boiling water to make soft egg strips (条). Then add chopped tomatoes and cook them until they become a sweet and sour sauce. Finally, sprinkle (撒) some green onions and a little sesame oil. Each step is like a small tradition, passing down memories of being strong.
On rainy days, Grandma would call me to the kitchen. “Let's make something warm,” she would say. While stirring the pot, she told me stories—like how she picked wild plants to add to the noodles during hungry times, or how she used one egg to feed the whole family. “Food brings people together,” she said. “It's about who you eat with.”
Last year, when I was in my city dormitory, I tried to cook these noodles. The first time wasn't good—the tomatoes burned and the eggs were lumpy (块状的). I called Grandma, and she helped me over the phone. “Be patient,” she said. “Cooking is like telling a story.” The second time, the smell of tomatoes filled the room. My roommates liked the noodles and said they felt like “home” even though they were far from their homes.
Now, when I make this dish, I think of Grandma's steady hands and her kitchen full of laughter. Food isn't just about taste. It carries culture in everyday moments—sharing a bowl of noodles, telling stories, and feeling the connection between family and our past.
As Grandma says, “Every bite has a memory.” When I slurp (吃) the golden noodles, I can taste the past, the present, and the unbroken warmth of our shared stories.
