Come out and let us teach you how to skydive today! We are located in Xenia, Ohio and are within a reasonable driving distance of major cities in Ohio. Situated on a private airport, Skydive Greene County offers worldclass training. We didn't start skydiving but we are Ohio's oldest skydiving school which opened in 1961!
Tandem Skydiving
Tandem skydiving is required if this is your firsttime skydiving. After filling out paperwork and watching a short video, you will be ready to make your skydive. Somewhere around 11,500 feet you will be secured to your tandem instructor. The door will open and you exit the plane.
Your freefall with your instructor will last for approximately 40-50 seconds. We can almost guarantee this will be the most exciting minute of your life as you reach the speed of around 120 mph, falling for about two miles back to the earth!
Don't forget to have a video taken of your skydiving to show all those that didn't think you would jump from an airplane!
Static Line Courses
Once you have made your tandem skydiving, you can move on to our Static Line Program. The Static Line Jump is the traditional way to learn to skydive. We have classes throughout the year. Every student will be led through the entire day by a licensed instructor. Never does the student feel unattended. Once training is over, students will make their first jump on that very same day!

In the book The Best Little Girl in the World, Kessa has a serious eating disorder (进食障碍) called anorexia nervosa. But she is not alone. Many people have this eating disorder.
In the beginning of her story, Kessa is a normal 15yearold girl. She is good at many things, especially dancing. She has danced for many years and loves it. One day her dance teacher tells her to continue eating right, but maybe lose a few pounds. Once Kessa hears this, she takes things too far. Instead of cutting down on snacks and junk food, she decides not to eat at all. She does not eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. She begins losing weight and becomes slimmer and slimmer. But she loses weight to a point where she is unhealthy.
As her poor eating habits continue, her parents start getting as much help as possible to cure their beautiful daughter. But it is just as hard for Kessa's parents to deal with her disorder as it is for her.
Every day she exercises to lose more pounds and plans what and when she will eat. Her parents try everything, but Kessa decides not to have any fat on her body. Kessa's doctor and parents finally take her to the hospital. She is now so thin that she can hardly walk. There, she is given good care.
In the rest of the book, Kessa goes through a lot of trouble in order to cure her eating disorder. This book, I think, can help to prevent people from doing this to themselves. It shows the trouble that people go through just to be slimmer, and all the terrible things they must experience to be cured. It is a book I think every teenager should read.

Ⅴ 七选五
It is natural for us teenagers to feel upset. __1__ Here I am offering some useful suggestions.
•Move your body.
__2__ Have you ever noticed that you feel happier and have a sense of achievement after a good workout? That's because working out creates endorphins—body chemicals that make us feel happy. No matter how low you are feeling, your mood will get a welldeserved boost (改善) after a workout. Exercise also helps you keep your heart in shape, makes you stronger and helps you stay at a healthy weight. And exercise is totally fun—and it's great for your selfesteem, too.
•Talk about it.
__3__ Friends' ears can be a great source of support since you're all in the same boat. And don't forget your mom—she was once a teenager as well and may understand more than you realize. Even talking to your pet can help—just saying things out loud can help you see things differently and calm you down.
•Laugh a lot.
Humour can rescue you from an upset moment or make you feel better when you're in an unpleasant mood. No matter what's going on, the ability to laugh at yourself and your situation is really important. __4__ It's true! Using your smile muscles tells your brain to make more endorphins and that boosts your mood.
•Cry—it's okay!
Sometimes the only way to get out of your feelings is to cry—so go ahead! Shut yourself in your room and cry your eyes out! No one says you have to be happy all the time. __5__
A.Why not pack up your suitcase and take a trip?
B.We can't say enough good things about exercise.
C.But still we should find ways to manage our feelings.
D.So smile at whatever is happening and choose to be happy.
E.And do you know just smiling can help better your mood?
F.When you are done, you'll be ready to face the world again.
G.Don't hold in all those feelings until you are ready to explode.

4.答案:E

[精彩范文]
Dear students,
Good health is essential to everyone, without which one can hardly live a satisfactory life. As students, when longing to learn better, we shall in the meanwhile act actively for good health.
Here are some of my suggestions. First, we'd better do more exercise such as playing basketball, running or swimming to build up our body. Second, we should have a balanced diet. Don't eat too much meat or sugar but more vegetables and fruit. Third, we need enough sleep and rest, and we shouldn't stay up late because it is bad for our health. Besides, keeping ourselves happy is also very important. I hope we are healthy and enjoy our life.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
This past summer, I joined my sister's family for their annual Adirondack vacation in a rented cottage on a lake, the same place my family has stayed since I was a little kid. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy: swimming, fishing and sand castle building on the beach.
By the third day, I had noticed that my tenyearold niece, Jannie, had spent most of her time watching cable TV and browsing through the gift shops in town. Not exactly the wilderness experience I remembered from my youth. So, at dinner, I told Jannie we should hike to the top of the mountain across the lake the following morning, which was called Rocky Point because the peak is bare and rockcovered.
“Well,” replied Jannie, “tomorrow there are some shows on the Disney Channel, so I'm going to be pretty busy.”
“When your mother and I used to come here when we were your age, we were too busy swimming and hiking up mountains.”
“Sounds more like punishment than a vacation,” She shrugged her shoulders. “Besides, I don't think I can walk that far.”
When I said it only took a halfhour of steady walking to get to the top, she grumbled, “Fine, I'll go.” I knew she was agreeing just to shut me up, but I would take anything I could get.
The next morning was a perfect day for a hike, with sunshine and clear skies. I got up early and took some sandwiches and water bottles, which I tucked into my backpack along with the bug spray and the camera.
Jannie came shuffling downstairs, sighed dramatically, rolled her eyes and announced in a very unenthusiastic, robotlike voice, “I'm ready to go hiking, Uncle David.” Anyway, we climbed into my car and drove to the trailhead about ten minutes away. As we stood at the edge of the parking lot and looked down the shaded trail that led into the woods, she said, “I am still not sure this is a good idea, but if you and Mom could do it, I can too, I guess.”
For the moment she was determined to start our journey. About 200 yards into the forest, the trail began to climb a steep slope. I pointed out some rarelyseen trees and flowering plants, which I explained were endangered species. She didn't share my enthusiasm. She was thirsty, tired, sweaty and bored. I handed her the water bottle as she sat on a fallen log and took a break. “You know, I think we're almost to the top,” I told her. “You already said that three times, and we're not there yet,” she replied. She grumbled another complaint as we continued on. She might not have been happy, but at least I was proud that she had the determination not to quit before we reached the top.
A while later we did make it to the top. Jannie looked up, noticing we were no longer under the trees. When she stopped, looked around and saw where we were, her jaw dropped, her eyes opened wide and she shouted: “Oh, I don't believe it. We're on top of the world. It's awesome!” A refreshing breeze brushed the mountaintop, not a cloud was in the sky and miles and miles of trees and lakes spread out below us. We sat on a large rock and took in the view, while eating our sandwiches and pointing out islands and roads and, of course, the cottage where we were staying. It had taken us almost an hour to make the climb, but it was worth it.
1.dramatically/drə'mætIkli/adv. 剧烈地,显著地
2.endangered/In'deIndʒəd/adj. (动植物)濒危的
3.spend time doing sth 花费时间做某事
4.be determined to do sth 下定决心做某事
So, at dinner, I told Jannie we should hike to the top of the mountain across the lake the following morning, which was called Rocky Point because the peak is bare and rockcovered.
本句主干是I told Jannie we ...,是“主谓宾宾”结构。we should hike ...
