The 16-year-old girl Jessica Watson is said to be the youngest person to sail non-stop alone around the world. But her record has been questioned because someone thought that she has not sailed far enough. She will also not be recognized by the World Speed Sailing Record Council, as it was too dangerous for someone under 18 years old.
Ms Watson sailed into Sydney port on Saturday, seven months after leaving on a hard voyage. Family, friends and Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd have gathered to greet her. Thousands of well-wishers waited at the port and watched from boats as Ms Watson sailed her pink, 10-meter-long boat over the finishing line. Many more Australians watched the event broadcast live on television. Watson said she was just an “ordinary girl who believed in her dream”.

Cimabue, the greatest painter of the Middle Ages in Italy, was surprised one day after his lunch break to discover that a fly had seated itself under the nose of a character that he had been working on. He swatted the fly, but it didn't move. He reached out to touch the insect, only to find it was only wet paint. Turning around, he saw that his apprentice (学徒), Giotto, was laughing. Giotto had painted the fly when Cimabue was away, and it looked so real that Cimabue had been completely fooled.

Giotto di Bondone was born into a poor family in a village. Legend has it that one day, when Cimabue was wandering around the countryside, he spotted a young shepherd boy drawing pictures of his sheep, which were so vivid that Cimabue immediately asked him to come to Florence and learn how to paint. That was how Giotto's story began in Florence, where the young student grew under Cimabue's instruction and soon surpassed his master in skill.
At that time, people in paintings didn't look real, and the symbolism of art was difficult for viewers to connect with. Innovation was not stressed, so art had remained the same for hundreds of years.

However, Giotto thought art should be something more connected with people in a more realistic way. His masterpieces included the forty major frescoes for the Arena Chapel. Adopting many techniques that were uncommon then, he painted people the way he saw them, instead of the overly tall and boxy people that other artists painted. He created three-dimensional space by using perspective, something that had not been done since Roman times.

Stan Lee tried his hand at many different jobs as a teenager but found his real task when he began to work for Timely Comics (连环漫画) in 1939. He rose to be Editor-in-Chief and introduced a range of iconic and extremely popular characters.
When DC Comics brought superheroes back into their comics in the 1950s, Timely Comics had to react. The company changed its name to Marvel, and Stan Lee was given the job of creating a series of new comicbook characters that would compete.
Stan already had a few ideas that he was keen to develop, and he introduced Fantastic Four to comic-reading Americans. The new heroes were an immediate hit, and Stan Lee could see that with careful and detailed planning, the new market could be well served by Marvel.
