I went to teach seventh graders math in the New York City public schools. And like any teacher, I made quizzes and tests. When the work came back, I calculated grades. What struck me was that IQ was not the only difference between my best and my worst students. Some of my strongest performers did not have excellent IQ scores. Some of my smartest kids weren’t doing so well. And that got me thinking. After several more years of teaching, I came to the conclusion that what we need in education is a much better understanding of students and learning from a motivational perspective, from a psychological perspective. In education, the one thing we know how to measure best is IQ. But what if doing well in school and in life depends on much more than your ability to learn quickly and easily? So I left the classroom, and I went to graduate school to become a psychologist. I started studying kids and adults in all kinds of super challenging settings, and in every study my question was, who is successful here and why? My research team and I went to a school. We tried to predict which students would stay in military training and which would drop out. We studied first-year teachers working in really tough neighborhoods, asking which teachers are still going to be here in teaching by the end of the school year? In all those very different contexts, one characteristic emerged as a significant predictor of success. And it wasn’t social intelligence. It wasn’t good looks, physical health, and it wasn’t IQ. Instead, it was grit. To me, the most shocking thing about grit is how little we know. That’s the work that stands before us. We need to take our best ideas, our strongest intuitions, and we need to test them. We need to measure whether we’ve been successful, and we have to be willing to fail, to be wrong, to start over again with lessons learned. 24.How did the author feel about the result of the quizzes and tests? A.Disappointed. B.Demanding. C.Shocked. D.Indifferent. 25.What made the author leave the classroom? A.Her inability to teach at school. B.Her dream to be a psychologist. C.Her better understanding of education. D.Her desire to study the factor of success. 26.According to the author, the result of their research is ________. A.confusing B.inspiring C.perfect D.measurable 27.What can we learn from this passage? A.Failure is the mother of success. B.Actions speak louder than words. C.Nothing is impossible with a willing heart. D.IQ is the key that unlocks the door of knowledge. AI Radiology: Faster, Smarter, and More Accurate Hospital waiting time for scan results could soon be reduced from days to minutes. A 2025 Stanford study reveals that DeepMedScan, an AI system analyzing CT/MRI images, detects tumors 30% faster than human radiologists (放射科医生) while matching top experts’ 98% accuracy. The system is now used in 40+ EU hospitals, reducing diagnosis delays by up to 80%. The breakthrough lies in 3D neural mapping. Unlike traditional AI recognizing 2D patterns, DeepMedScan constructs dynamic 3D models of organs: It cross-references scans with global databases — processing 200,000+ historical cases in 0.2 seconds. “It’s like giving each radiologist a super-powered second brain,” explains lead researcher Dr. Aris Thorne. Critical advantages include identifying micro-lesions under 2 mm — often missed by human eyes — and predicting disease progression. In German trials, the AI detected early-stage pancreatic cancer in 83% of high-risk patients a year before symptoms emerged, enabling life-saving interventions. Challenges persist, however, Legal frameworks struggle with responsibility for AI misdiagnosis (occurring in 0.7% of cases vs. human 1.2%). Inaccuracy risks also exist; early versions performed poorly on pediatric (小儿科的) scans due to limited child data. Regulatory authorities now enforce “human-AI co-diagnosis” — requiring doctor confirmation for critical cases. Future upgrades focus on accessibility. Lightweight versions for rural clinics are being tested in India, using smartphone-compatible calculation procedure. As WHO advisor Dr. Priya Sharma notes, “Making this tech widely accessible could prevent 500,000+ annual late-stage cancer deaths globally by 2030.” 28.How does the article present the issue in the first paragraph? A.By quoting an expert. B.By defining a concept. C.By providing statistics. D.By presenting classifications. 29.What does the author highlight with super-powered second brain? A.Replacing radiologists with automated systems. B.Emphasizing its ultra-fast data processing capacity. C.Demonstrating its superiority over human intelligence. D.Promoting commercial sales of medical equipment. 30.What does the author intend to convey in paragraph 4? A.The potential of AI diagnosis. B.The inaccuracy of AI diagnosis. C.The dominance of authorities in AI diagnosis. D.The necessity of human participation in AI diagnosis. 31.What can be inferred about AI radiology’s future development? A.It will replace doctors. B.It can work with smart phones. C.It can reach people in far-off areas. D.It can avoid late-stage cancer deaths completely. How can you give the things we buy new life rather than dumping them in landfill? There are three solutions commonly used by companies at present: Recycling: turning something into the same form of itself. Downcycling: transforming a product into an inferior one, such as grinding running shoes down to create the surface of basketball courts. Upcycling: converting a product into a superior form, such as spinning single-use plastic bottles into polyester fabrics which might be worn for decades. Despite their best intentions, all these methods create waste at some point in the manufacturing process, from the pesticides and fertilizers used to grow crops, various pollutants in the wastewater from the factories that make them, to greenhouse gas emissions or heavy metal emissions from the energy source and so on. The more you examine the entire lifecycle of a product, the more you realize that waste is always created somewhere. But what if you could design something so that no waste was created at any point? Enter Cradle-To-Cradle (C2C) manufacturing, a vision of how we could and should make things, everything from shoes to shirts to factories to cities. The concept was put forward in the 1970s as a play on the phrase “cradle to grave” and was later formalized in the best-selling book of the same name, penned by design chemists Michael Braungart and William McDonough. The simple idea: “Re-making the way we make things.” Today the Cradle-To-Cradle Products Innovation Institute (C2CPⅡ) certifies thousands of products, ranging from tyres to carpets, soap to construction timber. The core Cradle to Cradle concept is to model industrial processes on natural ones-what is known as the “biomimetic” approach. In the natural world, there is no such thing as “waste” — everything is recycled down to every atom. Ambitiously, the C2CPⅡ says its ultimate goal is to see consumer products as “nutrients”. C2C is an ambitious concept and requires an enormous amount of careful thinking, and designing in the formation of any product: every single manufacturing step must be re-thought to ensure that not only is nothing wasted, but that every single component is fully bio-degradable and harmless. Strictly, they test every chemical or ingredient that could be used — solvents, dyes, cleaning agents, you name it, and keep a library of those approved to be safe enough for human exposure or environmental release. For years, manufacturers of furniture, lightbulbs, paints and more have sought certification of their products and made use of the chemical library. Now the institute has launched an initiative focused on new trends. 32.Why does the author ask a question in paragraph 1? A.To introduce environmentally friendly practices. B.To present several permanently disturbing issues. C.To compare various approaches to environment problems. D.To share with readers currently achieved accomplishments. 33.Which of the following best describes the concept of C2C? A.Simple and innovative. B.Novel and fashionable C.Ambitious and demanding. D.Practical and conventional. 34.What can be inferred from the passage? A.Only recycle, down-cycle or up-cycle can give things new life. B.Cradle-To-Cradle manufacturers pursue to produce things with zero waste. C.Michael Braungart and William McDonough were the founders of C2CPⅡ. D.It takes enormous amount of careful thinking rather than tests to perform C2C. 35.What will the author most probably talk about after the last paragraph? A.How C2C will be applied in the clothing industry. B.What C2CPⅡ will do to change furniture industry. C.When C2C will be adopted for more future industries. D.Why C2CPⅡ will be successful in its chemical library. Studies have shown that physical activity can improve mental alertness and cognitive function. Your brain works better and you can think more clearly after exercising. 36 If you are looking for a way to boost your studying, try incorporating daily exercise into your routine. Try light exercise while you study. A few studies have shown that performing light exercise while studying can help recall of information. These studies found that vigorous exercise while studying may hurt recall because your brain is focused on the workout instead of the information. 37 You can use the stationary bike while you study for at least half an hour, making sure to keep the intensity light. Exercise at your desk. You can get your blood pumping at your desk while you study. If you don’t want to leave everything and go for a quick 15-minute stroll, try getting some physical activity in where you are. Do some chair squats at your desk. 38 Hover just above the chair for about 10 seconds. Repeat this 20 times. Take a walk on breaks. If you are studying in the library, break up your study sessions with physical activity. 39 You can also do this if you are studying in your dorm or a coffee shop. Taking a break helps refresh yourself and gets blood flowing to the brain, which can help you think and remember better. 40 Consistent daily workouts, integrated with your study and class schedule, are more effective than cramming 150 minutes of physical activity into the weekend. Regular physical activity throughout the week enhances brain function when you need it most — during your study sessions — rather than isolating it to the weekend. A.Focus on consistency. B.Make the exercise an enjoyable experience. C.Stand up from your chair, and then squat down without sitting down. D.If you are going to exercise while studying, just make sure to keep it gentle. E.Get up and take a fifteen-minute stroll around the building or around campus nearby. F.Physical activity also helps boost memory and recall, which is important when studying. G.Do low-impact gentle exercises, such as walking or swimming, at least 30 minutes a day. My friend Karen and her husband David were acquainted with an elderly lady, Rose, who fell ill with no one to help her. His passion for astronomy set him apart from his peers. Instead of playing football or video games, he spent his free time stargazing and reading books about galaxies and constellations. Every day at lunch, as Jake sat alone at a corner table, devouring a homemade sandwich and scribbling notes about the latest celestial event he’d read about, a group led by Mark, the school’s self- proclaimed “cool kid,” would pass by. Mark, tall with a confident swagger, loved the attention he got from his friends. With a smile on his face, he’d lean over Jake’s table and pick up his astronomy notebook. “What’s this? More of your space nonsense?” he’d sneer, waving the notebook in the air. His friends would snicker, and Jake would blush, reaching out timidly to get his notebook back. “Leave me alone,” Jake would mumble, his voice barely above a whisper. “Or what? You’ll call your alien friends to attack me?” Mark would laugh, and the group would walk away, leaving Jake feeling humiliated. Ms. Thompson, Jake’s science teacher, noticed the situation but could only do so much to stop it during class. “Boys, be respectful,” she’d say whenever she caught Mark teasing Jake. But once out of her sight, the bullying continued. One day, the school announced a science fair with the theme “Innovation s for the Future.” Students were encouraged to create projects that could change the world. Mark, seeing it as a chance to show off, immediately started planning a project with his friends. Jake, on the other hand, decided to combine his love for astronomy with his dream of making a difference. He began working on a model of a sustainable space colony, spending hours after school in the science lab, building and perfecting his creation. When the day of the science fair arrived, students and parents crowded into the gymnasium to view the projects. Mark’s group presented a flashy but rather simplistic model of a self- driving car. Jake, nervous but determined, set up his space colony model, complete with detailed explanations of how it would generate energy and recycle resources. As the judges walked around to evaluate the projects, Mark and his friends watched with smug expressions, convinced they would win. But when the results were about to be announced, everyone held their breath in anticipation. Paragraph 1: The principal stepped onto the stage and cleared his throat. “And the winner of the science fair is...” ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: That night, as Jake lay in bed, looking out at the stars, he heardknock on his front door. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试卷第6页,共14页 试卷第5页,共14页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 【灿烂六月·高考金8卷】 备战2026年高考英语模拟卷02(浙江特供卷) 参考答案及评分标准 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 1—5 ACCBA 6—10 AABCA 11—15 BCAAA 16—20 BBBAC 第二部分 阅读(共两节,满分50分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题2.5分,满分37.5分) 21.C 22.A 23.A 24.C 25.D 26.B 27.C 28.C 29.B 30.D 31.C 32.A 33.C 34.B 35.A 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 36.F 37.D 38.C 39.E 40.A 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 41.B 42.C 43.D 44.A 45.B 46.C 47.A 48.C 49.C 50.A 51.C 52.D 53.B 54.D 55.A 第二节 (共10小题;每小题1.5分,满分15分) 56.its 57.has proved/has proven 58.evidenced 59.conclusions 60.from 61.is linked 62.However 63.increasingly 64.capability 65.which 第四部分 写作(共两节,满分40分) 第一节(满分15分) 【参考范文】   With the popularity of tech products, fragmented learning has become common among students. While it has some merits, I think it can’t replace traditional systematic learning.       Fragmented learning helps save time and grasp small knowledge points quickly. However, it often makes students focus on isolated information instead of building a complete knowledge system. What’s more, short videos or quick exercises may reduce students’ patience for deep thinking, which is bad for long-term learning.       In my opinion, students should combine both ways. Use fragmented time to review key points, but spend enough time on systematic reading and note-taking to understand knowledge thoroughly. This balanced approach will boost learning efficiency better. Paragraph 1: The principal stepped onto the stage and cleared his throat. “And the winner of the science fair is... He walked up to the stage, his heart pounding, and accepted the trophy with trembling hands. Ms. Thompson beamed proudly, and even some of his classmates cheered. Mark avoided eye contact, clearly stunned by the outcome. As Jake returned to his spot, he felt a shift — perhaps for the first time, he wasn’t just the quiet astronomy boy; he was someone who had built something extraordinary. Paragraph 2: That night, as Jake lay in bed, looking out at the stars, he heard a knock on his front door. He got up, puzzled, and walked downstairs. His parents were already opening the door, revealing Mark standing there, looking unusually serious. “Can we talk?” Mark asked, his voice quieter than usual. Jake hesitated but nodded. Sitting on the porch steps, Mark cleared his throat. “I... I just wanted to say your project was really cool. I didn’t realize how much thought you put into it.” Jake was surprised but managed a small smile. “Thanks,” he said softly. It wasn’t an apology, but it was a start. Above them, the stars shimmered like possibilities, and for the first time, Jake felt like he wasn’t so alone. Clare, thank you so much for buying me this back pillow. B 【来源】浙江省普通高中尖峰联盟2025-2026学年高三上学期10月联考英语试题 When I was 27 years old, I left a very demanding job in management consulting for a job that was even more demanding: teaching. C 【来源】2026届浙江省Z20名校联盟(浙江省名校新高考研究联盟)高三上学期第一次联考英语试题 AI Radiology: Faster, Smarter, and More Accurate Hospital waiting time for scan results could soon be reduced from days to minutes. D 【来源】浙江省浙江省金丽衢十二校2024-2025学年高三第一次联考英语试题 How can you give the things we buy new life rather than dumping them in landfill? 第二节(共5小题:每小题2. 5分, 满分12. 5分) 阅读下面短文, 从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 【来源】浙江省杭州市七彩阳光新高考研究联盟2024-2025学年高三上学期开学英语试题 Studies have shown that physical activity can improve mental alertness and cognitive function. Karen’s 49 shifted. She told David the same that night, and the idea changed everything. From then on, they still did the same work, but as “volunteers,” it felt 50 — no longer a duty, but a choice. For the rest of Rose’s life, they still 51 helped, finding joy in the role. We often talk about volunteering, which makes us feel good. But there’s also a way to 52 a burdensome commitment as “volunteering”. By doing so, a task we feel forced to do can become a voluntary act. Let’s take Karen and David as an example. Their 53 to helping Rose at first seemed like an unwanted 54 . 注意: 1.续写词数应为150左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Paragraph 1: The principal stepped onto the stage and cleared his throat. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第3页(共14页) 试题 第4页(共14页) 试题 第1页(共14页) 试题 第2页(共14页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 【灿烂六月·高考金8卷】 备战2026年高考英语模拟卷02(浙江特供卷) (考试时间:120分钟 试卷满分:150分) 注意事项: 1. 1.What’s the original price of the back pillow? 【答案】24.C 25.D 26.B 27.C 【导语】本文是一篇夹叙夹议文。文章讲述了作者从教学经历中引发思考,进而研究成功因素,最终发现“毅力”是成功的重要预测因素。 24.细节理解题。根据第一段中“And like any teacher, I made quizzes and tests. When the work came back, I calculated grades.(和其他老师一样,我也做小测验和测试。作业交回来后,我计算分数)”和第二段中“What struck me was that IQ was not the only difference between my best and my worst students. Some of my strongest performers did not have excellent IQ scores. Some of my smartest kids weren’t doing so well. And that got me thinking.(令我震惊的是,智商并不是我最好的学生和最差的学生之间唯一的区别。我手下一些表现最好的学生智商并不高。我的一些最聪明的孩子表现不太好。这让我开始思考)”可知,测验发现学生智商和学业成绩表现并不总是直接相关,作者对测验结果感到震惊。故选C项。 25.细节理解题。根据第三段中“After several more years of teaching, I came to the conclusion that what we need in education is a much better understanding of students and learning from a motivational perspective, from a psychological perspective. (经过几年的教学,我得出结论,我们在教育中需要的是从动机和心理角度更好地理解学生和学习)”和第四段中“So I left the classroom, and I went to graduate school to become a psychologist. I started studying kids and adults in all kinds of super challenging settings, and in every study my question was, who is successful here and why? (所以我离开了教室,去研究生院成为一名心理学家。我开始研究处于各种极具挑战性环境中的孩子和成年人,在每一项研究中我的问题都是,这里谁成功了,为什么?)”可知,作者离开教室是因为她对教育有了更好的理解,进而她想研究影响成功的真正因素。故选D项。 26.推理判断题。根据第五段中“And it wasn’t social intelligence. It wasn’t good looks, physical health, and it wasn’t IQ. Instead, it was grit.(不是社交智慧,不是美貌、不是身体健康,也不是智商。相反,是毅力)”和最后一段中“To me, the most shocking thing about grit is how little we know. That’s the work that stands before us. We need to take our best ideas, our strongest intuitions, and we need to test them.(对我来说,最令人震惊的是,我们对毅力知之甚少。这就是摆在我们面前的工作。我们需要拿出我们最好的想法,我们最强的直觉,我们需要测试它们)”可推知,研究结果是令人震惊的,但因为它揭示了新的研究方向,也是鼓舞人心的。故选B项。 27.主旨大意题。通读全文,结合第五段中“And it wasn’t social intelligence. It wasn’t good looks, physical health, and it wasn’t IQ. Instead, it was grit. (不是社交智慧,不是美貌、身体健康,也不是智商。相反,是毅力)”可知,文章强调了毅力对成功的重要性。C选项“Nothing is impossible with a willing heart.(有志者事竟成)”表达了只要有决心和毅力,就没有办不成的事,与文章主旨相符。故选C项。 C 【来源】2026届浙江省Z20名校联盟(浙江省名校新高考研究联盟)高三上学期第一次联考英语试题 AI Radiology: Faster, Smarter, and More Accurate Hospital waiting time for scan results could soon be reduced from days to minutes. 【答案】32.A 33.C 34.B 35.A 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要介绍了C2C(Cradle-To-Cradle)制造理念,以实现零浪费和生物降解,以及该理念在多个行业中的应用和前景。 32.细节理解题。根据第一段“How can you give the things we buy new life rather than dumping them in landfill? There are three solutions commonly used by companies at present: Recycling: turning something into the same form of itself. Exercise at your desk. You can get your blood pumping at your desk while you study. If you don’t want to leave everything and go for a quick 15-minute stroll, try getting some physical activity in where you are. 注意: 1.续写词数应为150左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Paragraph 1: The principal stepped onto the stage and cleared his throat. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】One possible version: Paragraph 1: The principal stepped onto the stage and cleared his throat. “And the winner of the science fair is... Jake Thompson!” A wave of murmurs swept through the crowd, and Mark’s confident smirk faded into disbelief. Jake’s eyes widened as the judges applauded, impressed by the creativity and depth of his space colony model. 词汇激活: 行为类 ①传播,蔓延:sweep through/ spread through ②颤抖:tremble/shake/quiver ③走下楼:walk downstairs/step downstairs 情绪类 ①震惊:stunned/shocked ②迷惑:puzzled/confused 【点睛】[高分句型1] He walked up to the stage, his heart pounding, and accepted the trophy with trembling hands.(运用了独立主格结构作伴随状语) [高分句型2] As Jake returned to his spot, he felt a shift — perhaps for the first time, he wasn’t just the quiet astronomy boy; he was someone who had built something extraordinary.(运用了as引导的时间状语从句和who引导的定语从句) [高分句型3] Sitting on the porch steps, Mark cleared his throat.(运用了现在分词短语作状语) 试卷第26页,共26页 试卷第1页,共26页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
