Grammar Focus 3a - 3c focuses on the grammar of exclamatory sentences, which is an important part of English grammar learning. The analysis of students
Students learned some basic sentence structures and have a certain vocabulary base. They can express simple ideas in declarative sentences. 1. Greetings.
2.Have a free talk about extremely delicious-looking food and lead ss to show their feelings.
Ss greet and try to express their feelings. Some may say “The food looks so delicious” or “I really want to eat it”.

Purpose
Arouse students' interest in the topic of food and create a context for the introduction of exclamatory sentences.

Presentation
Work on 3a
1.Present sentences from the Grammar Focus and have ss read aloud.
2.Explain the formation rules of basic structures and usage of what - and how - guided exclamatory sentences giving a lot of examples.
Students look through the sentences in the form and do the exercises in 3a and 3b, and communicate with their partners about the answers.
To observe whether students can master the exclamatory sentences.
Purpose
To lead students to master the use of exclamatory sentences.

1. T asks students to finish the task in 3b-- change the sentences into exclamatory sentences.
2. T asks students to finish the task in 3c-- Complete the conversatios using the correct exclamatory sentences.

Some students still had difficulties in differentiating between "what" and "how" in complex sentence situations. They made mistakes in choosing the correct guiding words for exclamatory sentences.In the pair - work, a few students were less confident and didn't participate fully. They need more encouragement and individual guidance.
