When I was a boy, my family would sometimes get together at my great aunt’s small house over the summer. Relatives(亲戚) from all over the country would come to visit. The adults (成年人) would get together in the living room, around the kitchen table to talk and catch up on each other’s lives. All of the kids would go out to the front yard to play.

When I was a boy, my family would sometimes get together at my great aunt’s small house over the summer. Relatives(亲戚) from all over the country would come to visit. The adults (成年人) would get together in the living room, around the kitchen table to talk and catch up on each other’s lives. All of the kids would go out to the front yard to play.
Those were the days before video games and smartphones appeared (出现), so we often ended up playing a good old-fashioned game of tag (捉人游戏). I remember one of those times especially. I was the youngest and smallest of all the kids there, so I got caught (被捉) first and couldn’t catch anyone else.
