Let’s enjoy a video.
1 Listen to the conversation and tick the food words you hear.
Li Ming and jack are at a supermarket.
Li Ming: What would you like for hotpot, Jack?
Jack: I would like some vegetables and meat. Look! Here are cabbages, eggplants, and mushrooms.
Li Ming: Let’s take some, but I don’t think we need eggplants. Hmm... Jack, why does eggplant have egg in it?
Jack: Haha! I don’t know. Maybe it looks like a big egg?

可数名词和不可数名词
可数名词是指可以计数的名词,其前面可以用不定冠词a/an和数词的名词,以及
其他可以有复数形式的名词,一般不可以单独使用。
不可使名词指不可以计数,即前面不能用不定冠词a/an和数词的名词,以及没有
复数形式的名词。

①可数名词变复数的规则变化:
规则变化 例词
一般情况下,词尾加-s cup → cups 杯子
以 s, x, sh, ch 结尾的词,词尾加-es glass → glasses 眼镜
以 f 或 fe 结尾的词,先将 f 或 fe 变成 v,再加-es life → lives 生活
knife → knives 刀
以 o 结尾的词,词尾加-s 或-es piano → pianos 钢琴
potato → potatoes 土豆
规则变化 例词
以辅音字母加 y 结尾的词,先将 y 变为i,再加-es baby → babies 宝宝
②可数名词变复数的不规则变化:

有些名词以改变拼写来构成
复数形式 man → men 男人
woman → women 女人
child → children 孩子
有些名词单、复数形式相同 sheep → sheep 绵羊
deer → deer 鹿
复合名词变复数时,只需将最后一个名词变为复数, 但以man 和 woman 为前缀的名词变复数时,前后两个名词都要变成复数形式 pencil box → pencil boxes 铅笔盒
banana tree → banana trees 香蕉树
man teacher → men teachers 男老师
woman worker → women workers 女工人
不规则变化 例词

would like与want意义相近,但比want语气更委婉、更正式。would like 可与任何人称连用,没有人称和数的变化;与人称代词连用时,would可缩写为“’d”。

maybe 副词,常位于句首作状语,意为“大概,也许,可能”,相当于perhaps。
May be 为“情态动词+动词原形”结构,在句中作谓语,意为“可能是”。

作动词时,意为“改正,纠正;批改”。例如:
It’s necessary to correct his mistakes.
