Are teenagers allowed to go out on weekends?
I often argue with my parents about whether teenagers should go out on weekends after I am in Grade 9. My parents think that teenagers should stay at home to go over their lessons. Teenagers should also have enough time to have a good rest on weekends. Also, teenagers are supposed to help their parents do some housework.
In my opinion, we teenagers need to go out with our friends for fun so that we can relax ourselves after a busy week. And we can share ideas with each other. What's more, we can also take some exercise together to keep healthy. So I think teenagers should be allowed to go out on weekends.

A. stop停止;B. continue继续;C. finish完成。 Few people like changing their habits, good or bad可知,此处是人们不改变自己的恶习,继续享受着自己的习惯;“继续”continue,故答案选B。
A. dangers危害、危险;B. excuses借口;C. chances机会。根据下文“Warming: Cigarette Smoking Is Dangerous to Your Health.”
A. 根据:“Warming: Cigarette Smoking Is Dangerous to Your Health.”___3___, millions of them start smoking or go on smoking.
A. influencing影响;B. explaining解释;C. improving改进。根据Facts show that families and surroundings(环境) play a very important part in 4 smokers.
A. parents父母;B. brothers兄弟;C. friends朋友。根据All those smokers come from smoking families or have smoking 5 or relatives.
A. hear听到;B. catch抓住;C. watch看到。
A. smoke烟、抽烟,原形;B. smoking抽烟,动名词;C. to smoke吸烟,动词不定式。
根据下文neither killing themselves nor killing others with alcohol and cigarettes.
A. If如果;B. When当…时候;C. Because因为。根据下文why should common people be afraid?
A. might可以;B. shall将要;C. should应当。根据If they are not afraid of the harm of smoking and drinking, why____common people be afraid?
A. make制造;B. work工作;C. do做。
A. harm危害;B. harmful有害的;C. more harmful更加有害的。根据doctors say,以及下文it is time for smokers to think about it and try to give it 15 !
A. away远离的;B. out外面的;C. up向上。 If smoking is really as 14 as doctors say,如果吸烟真的像医生说的那样有害的话,推知这里是说应该放弃吸烟,give up固定短语,“放弃”,故答案选C。

Talk to your parents or teacher or an adult if you see bullying or if you are worried about a friend.

My grandma gave me a new scooter (滑板) with some lights on the wheels as a present. I love it so much that this year I ride my scooter to school every day. I have learned lots of new tricks on my scooter.
Our school encourages us to ride bikes or scooters to school. It is good for our health and the environment. However, once we enter the school, we have to get off our bikes or scooters. Since there are so many students and parents walking around, it’s hazardous to ride inside the school. That’s the school rule, and everyone has to follow it.
I know it’s against the school rule to ride inside the school, but one day I really wanted to show my friends my new tricks. The trick that I am really proud of is doing a wheelie When I saw Tom and Peter that morning, I said hello to them and asked them to wait for me to join them. Looking around, there was no teacher close to us. Then I said to them, “Hey, everyone, I can do a wheelie.” They didn’t believe me and said, “No way. It’s impossible for you to learn to do a wheelie in a week.” I said,“I’m serious. I can do that easily. Look at me now.” Then I got on my scooter and tried to do a wheelie. Unluckily, when I lifted my front wheel, two boys came towards me. I was so fast that I couldn’t stop and knocked (撞) into them. I fell down, hurting my arms. Both of them got bruises (青肿) on their legs.
Tom and Peter ran over to help me get to my feet. I felt so sorry for the other two boys and promised them that I would never ride my scooter inside the school.

British roads are some of the safest in the world. A study in 2018 compared more than 30 countries and found that 3.8 people per 100, 000 died in traffic accidents in the UK. 31 So, what did British drivers do to achieve this? What are they doing differently? Here are five top tips for drivers who are planning a trip to the UK.
32 In fact, a long time ago people drove on the left in most countries, but now only a few countries do this. Don't forget that this also means you must drive the other way around roundabouts(环岛).
British people feel that waiting should be fair for everybody. 33 This is called "jumping the queue". You must wait for your turn; otherwise people may get angry with you.
You must stop at the traffic lights when they are red. In many countries, it is OK to go past the red lights if you are turning a corner or if there isn't any other traffic around. 34
If another driver flashes(闪烁) his car's lights at you, he is probably trying to tell you that he will wait for you to go first. British people don't like to use their car horn(喇叭) much and they think people who do so are rude.
35 The police in the UK never take money, and if you try to offer them some, you could end your holiday visiting British prison(监狱).
A.This number was lower than any other country.
B.People in Britain drive on the left side of the road.
C.If you get in an accident, don't try to pay the police.
D.In the UK you could have a lot of trouble if you do this.
E.If you are in a queue of traffic, then don't try to push past the cars in front of yours.
F.British people prefer to wait in line patiently because they know they will be punished if they break the law.

32.根据此空后一句“In fact, a long time ago people drove on the left in most countries, but now only a few countries do this.”
33.根据该空前后句“British people feel that waiting should be fair for everybody. This is called "jumping the queue". You must wait for your turn; otherwise people may get angry with you.”

根据“Many parents don’t let the children do ”及备选词可知,此处指做家务,英文表达为do housework,故填housework。
根据“They should study hard and do…in their lessons”可知,这里表达的是“学好功课”,空格指的是“好的”,在句中修饰的是动词do,所以这里应该用副词,故填well。
“parents go on doing this”是“their children will only learn to open their mouths to be fed and stretch out their arms to be dressed every day”的肯定条件,用if引导条件状语从句,故填If。
根据“ they won’t even find a job”可知,什么都做不了,甚至无法找工作,这里表达的是“没有事情”,英语是nothing,故填nothing。
