It/This/That+was+the first/the second/...time (that) sb+过去完成时
It was the first time that she had left China. (P14 Para.1)这是她第一次离开中国。
结构分析:此句含有句型。It was the first time that...意为“这是第一次做某事”。
• “It/This/That+was/is+the first/the second/... time (that) sb+过去完
成时/现在完成时”表示“这/那是某人第一/第二/……次……”。
• It is/was (about/high) time that sb should do sth/did sth 意为“到了某
人做某事的时候了”,should不能省略。相当于It is/was time (for sb)
to do sth。
