Teaching Aids 【教学工具】 an English book,a tape recorder and CAI Teaching Steps 【教学步骤】 Listening and speaking ★Step 1 Leading in 【情景导入】 1.Show the photo on Page 19 to the Ss.Then ask them to look and share: (1)Who are the people in the photo? (2)Where are they? (3)How do you think they feel? 2.Let the students discuss them.Ask some students to share their answers. ★Step 2 Pre­task 【准备任务】 Page 20,1a First,ask the students to translate the expressions in 1a into Chinese.Then ask them to tick the expressions they know. Page 20,1b 1.Show the two pictures on Page 20 to the Ss.Then ask them to guess: (1)Where are they? (2)What are they doing? (3)What's their relationship? 2.Ask some students to share their answers. ★Step 3 While­task 【过程任务】 Page 20,1b & 1c 1.Play the recording for the first time and let the Ss number the pictures in the order they hear them. 2.Play the recording a second time,and then ask the Ss to listen again and circle the coloured words they hear. 3.Show the tape script and check the answers. 4.Explain the important phrases and sentence patterns to the Ss. ★Step 4 Post­task 【后续任务】 Page 20,1d 1.Ask the Ss to make a dialogue to know more classmates.Then show some useful expressions on Page 20 to them. 2.Let the Ss work in pairs.Then choose some groups to act their dialogues out. Pronunciation ★Step 5 Pre­task 【准备任务】 Page 21,1 Let the Ss read the words freely,and then ask them to pay attention to the bold letters,and find the similarities of pronunciation in each column. ★Step 6 While­task 【过程任务】 Page 21,1 1.Play the recording,and then ask the Ss to repeat it. 2.Explain the key points of pronunciation about the front vowel,show the pronunciation of them to the Ss and then ask them to repeat. 3.Have the Ss read the words together.
