第四部分 写作(共两节,满分40分)
第一节 (满分15分)
One possible version:
Dear Chris,
I’m writing to share the exciting Chinese Film Festival held at my school last Friday. Aimed at promoting Chinese culture, the event featured screenings of three award-winning films, including The Wandering Earth and Ne Zha, followed by a lecture on Chinese cinema’s development.
I was thrilled to see how traditional stories merged with modern technology in these movies. The post-screening discussion was insightful too — we explored themes like family, heroism, and cultural heritage. The festival sparked my interest in Chinese filmmaking and made me proud of our cultural richness. How I wish you could’ve been there!
I’m looking forward to your early reply.
Yours,
Li Hua
第二节 (满分25分)
One possible version:
David practiced hard before the performance. Despite his initial self-doubts, he threw himself into learning the lines and the movements of the Key-master with a fierce determination. He spent hours in front of the mirror, rehearsing his expressions and gestures, making sure they were in sync with the character’s emotions. His classmates noticed the change and gathered around him, offering support and encouragement. They ran through the scenes together, refining the interactions between David and the other characters. The entire class felt a renewed sense of unity and purpose, working tirelessly to ensure the play’s success.
At the close of the performance, Miss Tompkins took the stage to congratulate everyone. The audience broke into applause as the curtain fell, and the students cheered with pride at their achievement. David received a special round of applause for his unexpected but outstanding performance as the Key-master. Miss Tompkins praised the hard work and teamwork that had brought the play to life. As the players took their bows, they were excited to know that the experience had not only taught them about drama but also about the power of importance of community spirit.

July is just around the corner. As you look forward to travelling or having your holidays to the beach, an outdoor theatre may also be a good choice. There are plenty of outdoor theatres to choose from across the UK.
Storyhouse Theatre, Chester
Every year in July, Storyhouse theatre builds an entire amphitheatre(圆形剧场) in Grosvenor Park. This year sees an eclectic trio: The Gangs of New York, The Importance of Being Earnest and The Wizard of Oz. You will be most excited by the first: a new adaptation written by Kieran Lynn and directed by John Young.
Thorington Theatre, Suffolk
Opening in 2021, Thorington is built in a natural amphitheatre hidden in the Suffolk woodlands. This year’s programme includes some family favourites such as Teddy Bear’s Picnic and The Little Mermaid, as well as Shakespeare’s The Tempest and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Minack Theatre, Cornwall
Built into a cliff face in Porthcurno, you hardly need an excuse to visit this theatre. It will be an unforgettable experience. This year sees touring productions of Little Shop of Horrors, The Massive Tragedy of Madame Bovary among other things. If you want a show particularly fitting for this unique surrounding, check out The Pirates of Penzance playing in September.
Pitlochry Festival Theatre, Highland Perthshire
Throughout most of the year, the Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s indoor auditorium and studio serve as their regular performance spaces. With some 50 million copies in print, Johanna Spyri’s Heidi is probably the biggest Swiss bestseller of all time. So it's not a surprise there have been many film adaptations. The latest one, directed by Alain Gsponer, is a live-action, German-language feature that’s simply titled Heidi as well.
Heidi’s impressive box-office numbers prove that the world was ready for yet another version of this old-fashioned tale. The feature made over $15.5 million in Germany and Switzerland alone. Even more impressive are the numbers in Italy and France (not generally areas where German-language children’s films stand any chance).
Gsponer’s film follows the basic structure of the 1881 novel. 5-year-old Heidi is shipped off by her aunt, Dete, to her don’t-waste-any-words grandfather, who lives alone in a small wooden house high up in the Swiss Alps. He is not pleased to see his routine in the peaceful mountain air messed up by a curious little girl who needs looking after. The film doesn’t lay stress on the point, but even for those who haven’t read the book, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the lovely little girl will soon manage to melt Granddad’s icy heart.
At age 8, Heidi is taken away to Frankfurt, where her aunt has found her a rich family as a companion(伙伴) to a wheelchair-bound child, Klara. As in the novel, the film plays Heidi’s initial fish-out-of-the-water situation for comedy, since, as a country girl, she has no idea about things as basic as clean clothes or table manners. Actually, in the midsection, the girls’ strict governess(女家庭教师) gets some of the biggest laughs.
This is also a plot necessity. Heidi will need to start to feel homesick. She misses not only Grandpa but also her cute goat herder friend, Peter. She does get to see them again.
Throughout the movie, Gsponer keeps contrasting(对比) different elements, including the seasons, the city and the country and even characters, such as the dark-haired and earthy Heidi and the fair-skinned and fair-haired city girl Klara. These natural contrasts help give a sense of agreement to a plot.
24. What does the author want to show by mentioning the box-office numbers?
A. Gsponer’s Heidi is a big success.
B. A lot of people understand German.
C. It is a great idea to adapt a novel.
D. Heidi’s story is too old to be popular.
25. Why is Heidi’s grandpa unhappy about her arrival?
A. Heidi needs a house.
B. He is not wealthy.
C. Heidi behaves badly.
D. He prefers to live alone.
26. Which best describes Heidi’s initial life in the rich family according to paragraph 4?
A. She fits in well.
B. She feels out of place.
C. She feels lonely.
D. She laughs at governess.
27. What is the text?
A. A short story. B. An introduction to a book.
C. A film review. D. A script of a documentary.

When I was younger, I would walk around everywhere in a Cinderella dress and a knight’s helmet(头盔), thinking that I looked incredibly mature(成熟的). My mom and I were going to the grocery store. So was the costume(戏服). Time to pick my sister up at school. Costume time. I guess it’s no wonder that theatre is such a major part of my life!
The first production I was ever in was my second-grade musical, in which I played one of Cinderella’s mice. I had one line(台词) and practiced it over and over again with my parents, thinking it was going to be the most important moment of my entire life. The line came and passed without mistakes, and I was very proud of myself.
In fourth grade, I joined a theatre group and worked with about five other girls to create what could be described as the worst play in the world; I swear(发誓) it was that terrible. The play was about a group of girls who were having a sleepover and were transported into a television, and I can remember being jealous of the girl who got to play the attractive girl of the group while I was the reserved bookworm. Looking back upon it, I’m glad that I had this experience, because it helped me to learn that in the theatre world, you’re not always going to get the part that you think you deserve. You can’t let that disappointment distract you from doing your best with the role you were given.
Theatre changed my life because it helped me to learn that it’s okay to be different. My theatre teacher rolled around on the ground the first day of class, and it was joyful. We all had to sing a few verses of a song, whether we were good or bad singers, and let me tell you, I am a horrific singer .Nevertheless, I got up in front of my whole class and belted out “Part of Your World, ” unashamed, because theatre creates an environment in which everyone feels accepted.
28. What did the author’s behaviour in paragraph 1 indicate?
A. She had a great sense of fashion.
B. She had great enthusiasm for acting.
C. Her time was filled with various performances.
D. Her mental age was greater than her physical age.
29. Which of the following words can best describe the author’s second-grade musical?
A. Traditional. B. Challenging.
C. Successful. D. Informative.
30. What does the underlined word “jealous” in paragraph 3 mean?
A. Afraid.
B. Mindful.
C. Independent.
D. Envious.
31. What would be the best title for this text?
A. How theatre has changed my life.
B. How Cinderella has inspired my creativity.
C. How theatre helped me become a better singer.
D. How I transformed the worst play into something better.
D
Shen Wei, the character designer behind China’s highest-earning animated(动画的) film Ne Zha, recently spoke about his challenging journey in designing characters for Ne Zha 2, following the great success of the original film in 2019.
Ne Zha 2 joined the very lively Spring Festival film season list and was first shown on Jan. 29. Building on the remarkable success of its predecessor, this five-year project continues to draw inspiration from the playful but adorable character from the Ming dynasty novel The Investiture of the Gods. It also introduces a “dimensional upgrade” that includes new characters, thrilling battle scenes, more than 1,900 visual effect shots, and enhanced details for IMAX.
When discussing the challenges of character design amid high audience expectations after a five-year wait, Shen emphasized the importance of two concepts: continuity and innovation. “I believe finding both keeping the old and adding new things are significant,” Shen said. “The audience has already accepted elements of the original, so it’s impossible to completely change the established framework. Our approach is to keep the main ideas of the first film into the sequel(续集) while innovating and improving on existing techniques.”
Ne Zha 2 includes a substantial increase in new characters, tripling the number from the first film. A promotional video reveals that nearly every character has received unique battle designs instead of reusing previous designs. Shen noted that this approach demanded considerable effort and time. His goal was to immerse the audience in a story that feels authentic and engaging, ensuring that each character is fully developed and relatable.
One new character that impressed Shen is Ao Shun, a legendary dragon king. His complex armor, made entirely of blades, along with his unique fighting style, presented significant development challenges. Shen worked closely with Yang Yu, the director of the Ne Zha film series, known by his nickname Jiaozi, to explore various versions of the character’s costume and performance style.
Looking ahead, Shen expressed a strong interest in exploring projects that involve alien and future-like creatures during the revival of Chinese animation. “Such themes,” he said, “allow me to explore new ideas and awaken my imagination.” He noted that character design is a creatively rich and rewarding process.
32. What does the term “dimensional upgrade” in paragraph 2 most likely refer to?
A. A shift from 2D to 3D animation.
B. Expansions in story, visual effects, and technology.
C. Reducing the film’s runtime for better pacing.
D. Focusing only on character backstories.
33. Why does Shen believe it is impossible to completely change the established framework?
A. Because the audience has developed an emotional connection to the original elements.
B. Because the original film’s framework is too inflexible to allow for changes.
C. Because the filmmakers lack the creativity to introduce new ideas.
D. Because the sequel must strictly stick to the original storyline.
34. How does Shen’s approach to character design contribute to the overall experience of Ne Zha 2?
A. By making the film more technically advanced.
B. By balancing tradition with creative improvements.
C. By completely changing the original character designs.
D. By stressing the importance of audience preferences.
35. What is the author’s purpose in writing the passage?
A. To show the box office success of Ne Zha 2.
B. To advertise the global screening of Ne Zha 2.
C. To analyze Shen Wei’s design ideas and challenges in Ne Zha 2.
D. To compare the visual effects of Ne Zha and Ne Zha 2.

Even though it’s easy to see the latest movies at home, there’s still nothing quite like watching a film in the cinema on the biggest screen possible. Nowadays, the price of movie tickets can be a bit shocking. 36 There are a number of ways you can bring the cost down to make it more affordable.
Consider a membership
Some cinema memberships offer free tickets and then discounts on future visits. 37 But if you are going once a month, then the all-you-can-watch memberships at some cinemas will not be good value. As a result, you’ll need to go every week to cover the huge membership fee.
Attend on Discount Days
In addition to cheaper seats at matinees, you can also save money at the movies by attending on certain days. 38 Some theaters have “Discount Tuesdays”, for example, offering tickets for only $ 5 throughout the day, including evening showings.
Go to a Drive-In
39 Drive-in movie theaters have made a comeback, opening up in busy city centers as well as in the remote countryside. Drive-in tickets can be cheaper than at a traditional movie theater. And if the drive-in charges by the car, call your friends! 40
So, if you’re willing to look for discounts and try some of the suggestions above for saving money at the movies, you can lower your costs and have a good time.
A. Bring your own snacks instead.
B. But the ticket cost shouldn’t be a problem.
C. You can share the entry fee and save some money.
D. Another choice is watching movies without leaving your car.
E. So if you are a regular movie-goer, they’re worth signing up.
F. Many movie theaters offer price discounts on certain weekdays.
G. It might also be convenient to buy a movie ticket in advance online.

第二节(满分25分)
The whole class were busy preparing for the end-of-year play under the guidance of Miss Tompkins, their enthusiastic drama teacher. The excitement was clear as the students worked hard to perfect every scene and every line. The play was a fantasy tale about a magical key that could unlock a hidden world.
David, who was in charge of the sound effects, took his job seriously. He loved how each sound brought the story to life, making his classmates’ performances even better. He worked hard during rehearsals(排练), paying close attention to the actors and actresses as they spoke their lines, and he repeated them in his head. He also noted the action cutes(提示) carefully in order to make the right sound effect at the perfect moment.
Everything was going smoothly until, just two days before the performance, David came home with bad news. “Grandad, Anthony broke his arm while practicing his bike jump on his way home.”
“Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.”
“He’ll make a full recovery. But by losing Anthony, we now don’t have a main character, the Key-master. Miss Tompkins says we might have to cancel the play. You know, after all that hard work, rehearsals, artwork, lights...”
David and Grandad fell silent, thinking about the situation.
After a few minutes, Grandad broke the silence, “I know —” he said. “Each evening that you’ve come back from rehearsals, you always recite the lines. You must know them all by now. Why don’t you play the Key-master?”
“Because I can’t do it.” “How do you know unless you try? It doesn’t matter how well you do, as everyone will be on your side and cheer you on.” “Yeah. Maybe I should give it a go,” David said.
The next day, David told Miss Tompkins about his idea. “Well, David, that’s fantastic!” Miss Tompkins smiled. “And I will take over sound effect responsibilities.”
注意:1. 续写词数应为150左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。

Research has shown that sixty percent of local traditions have developed from places like that. We should protect old historic buildings for the future, but preservation of old building costs money. Education helps teach kids their value. Also, there should be a law that asks the government to put fifteen percent of its funds for heritage protection programs. Good idea. And we can provide digital information of the historic sites for future generations.
But in summer, you can see equally lavish productions at the amphitheatre, nestled in the woods and overlooking Ben-Y-Vrackie mountain.
C

Spain’s pride is the grape, with around 400 varieties produced, the most grown fruit in the world. Oranges originally came from China, presently around 45% of the world’s orange production mostly comes from three countries, China, Brazil and India.
But in summer, you can see equally lavish productions at the amphitheatre, nestled in the woods and overlooking Ben-Y-Vrackie mountain. This year they’ll be staging Dido and Aeneas, and The Secret Garden, the perfect story for this lush garden stage.

22. 细节理解题。根据小标题Thorington Theatre, Suffolk下的“This year’s programme includes some family favourites such as Teddy Bear’s Picnic and The Little Mermaid, as well as Shakespeare’s The Tempest and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
【答案】24. A 25. D 26. B 27. C

24. 推理判断题。由第二段中的“Heidi’s impressive box-office numbers prove that the world was ready for yet another version of this old-fashioned tale. The feature made over $15.5 million in Germany and Switzerland alone. Even more impressive are the numbers in Italy and France (not generally areas where German-language children’s films stand any chance). (《海蒂》令人印象深刻的票房数字证明,世界已经准备好了这个古老故事的另一个版本。仅在德国和瑞士,这部电影就赚了1550万美元。更令人印象深刻的是意大利和法国的数字(一般来说,德语儿童电影的机会不大))”可知,电影版《海蒂》很成功,可得出作者想通过提及票房数字来说明Gsponer执导的《海蒂》大获成功。故选A项。
25. 细节理解题。由第三段中的“5-year-old Heidi is shipped off by her aunt, Dete, to her don’t-waste-any-words grandfather, who lives alone in a small wooden house high up in the Swiss Alps. He is not pleased to see his routine in the peaceful mountain air messed up by a curious little girl who needs looking after. (5岁的海蒂被她的阿姨德特(Dete)送到了她的祖父那里,祖父一个人住在瑞士阿尔卑斯山高处的一座小木屋里。他不高兴看到一个好奇的、需要照顾的小女孩在宁静的山间空气中打乱自己的日常生活)”可知,海蒂的爷爷对她的到来不高兴是因为爷爷喜欢独自生活。故选D项。
26. 推理判断题。由第四段中的“As in the novel, the film plays Heidi’s initial fish-out-of-the-water situation for comedy, since, as a country girl, she has no idea about things as basic as clean clothes or table manners.

【答案】28. B 29. C 30. D 31. A

28. 推理判断题。根据第一段中的“When I was younger, I would walk around everywhere in a Cinderella dress and a knight’s helmet, thinking that I looked incredibly mature. My mom and I were going to the grocery store. So was the costume. Time to pick my sister up at school. Costume time. I guess it’s no wonder that theatre is such a major part of my life! (小时候,我会穿着灰姑娘的裙子和骑士头盔到处走,觉得自己看起来非常成熟。我和妈妈要去杂货店,戏服也跟着一起去。到学校接妹妹的时候,也是穿戏服的时候。我想难怪戏剧是我生活中如此重要的一部分!)”可知,作者无论去哪里都穿着戏服,这表明她对表演有极大的热情。故选B项。
29. 推理判断题。根据第二段中的“The first production I was ever in was my second-grade musical, in which I played one of Cinderella’s mice. I had one line and practiced it over and over again with my parents, thinking it was going to be the most important moment of my entire life. The line came and passed without mistakes, and I was very proud of myself. (我参与的第一部作品是二年级的音乐剧,我扮演灰姑娘的一只老鼠。我有一句台词,和父母一遍又一遍地练习,认为这将是我一生中最重要的时刻。这句台词顺利说出,没有出错,我为自己感到非常骄傲。)”可知,作者在二年级音乐剧中的表演没有出错,且她为此感到骄傲,说明这次表演是成功的。故选C项。
30. 词句猜测题。根据第三段中的“The play was about a group of girls who were having a sleepover and were transported into a television, and I can remember being jealous of the girl who got to play the attractive girl of the group while I was the reserved bookworm. (这部剧是关于一群女孩在睡衣派对上被传送到电视里的故事,我记得我很……那个扮演团队中迷人女孩的女孩,而我是那个内向的书虫。)”可知,作者扮演的是内向的书虫,而另一个女孩扮演迷人的角色,由此可推知,作者对那个女孩是“嫉妒的”,所以划线单词“jealous”意为“嫉妒的”与Envious意义相近。故选D项。
31. 主旨大意题。通读全文,尤其是最后一段中的“Theatre changed my life because it helped me to learn that it’s okay to be different. (戏剧改变了我的生活,因为它帮助我认识到与众不同是可以的。)”可知,文章主要讲述了戏剧如何改变作者生活的经历,“戏剧如何改变了我的生活”能概括全文,最适合作为本文标题。故选A项。

Dear Chris,
I’m writing to share the exciting Chinese Film Festival held at my school last Friday.
Yours,
Li Hua
