本单元介绍我国不同的节日,具有浓郁的文化气息,教学内容丰富。学生通过单元的学习,除学会相关的语言知识外,还能学习到涉及中西方节日的文化和风俗习惯。Section A侧重介绍我国的传统节日,学生在学习时,应该重点掌握由that,if/whether引导的宾语从句来表达自己的态度和看法;并且能够使用由how和what引导的感叹句;学会与节日相关的词语(包括节日的名称、与节日相关的专属用词)以及各种描述性词语(形容词及其习惯表达法)等。Section B主要围绕两个节日——元宵节和新年来展开,介绍了中国的传统节日文化,侧重节日的文化内涵,让学生更深层次地理解中国文化。教师要鼓励学生通过课外阅读、查阅相关书籍、杂志或网络信息了解世界各地的新年传统习俗和庆祝方式,让学生在对比中更好的了解相关国家的文化,并逐步增强文化自信和跨文化交流能力。语言方面,学生要学习与这两个节日相关的专属文化词汇,进一步强化本单元的重点句型结构。技能方面,通过“听说入手→突出阅读→创写语篇”的过程培养学生的综合语言技能;在策略上侧重训练学生对文章结构的理解和分析,即除了了解文章内容外,还应该培养学生辨认文章结构的能力,能通过总结每段的主要观点来帮助理解文章结构。文化意识和情感价值观方面,通过阅读语篇探讨各国新年的习俗和庆祝活动,讲述各国在新年期间的活动。教育学生要懂得:虽然世界各国的新年各不相同,但是各国新年都是家人之间联系亲情的纽带,构建正确的家庭观念。

This is the first period of the unit.So it is important to get the students to know that they will learn to give a personal reaction and express their strong feeling using exclamatory sentences in this unit.At the beginning the teacher should lead the students to learn some festivals and description words,and get the students to practice the target language in listening and speaking.We learn new words and expressions in conversations.After the students have some language practice,they can learn the new patterns and the objective clauses.New words and expressions are also main points in the first period of a unit.We can learn them during practice.Do not separate them from the meaning group.
