一般过去时:
一般过去时是英语中用于描述过去发生的动作、存在的状态或过去习惯性行为的时态,常与表示过去的时间状语(如 yesterday 昨天、last week 上周、this morning 今天早上等)连用,是 Unit 3 “Healthy or unhealthy” 话题中描述饮食经历(如 “某人昨天吃了什么早餐”)的核心语法。
1. 核心用法
描述过去发生的具体动作:强调动作在过去某个时间点已经完成,如课文中 Joe 说 “I had two hamburgers and some cola this morning.”(我今天早上吃了两个汉堡和一些可乐),“had” 是 “have” 的过去式,用于说明 “吃、喝” 这个动作发生在 “今天早上”(过去时间)。
描述过去存在的状态:如 Alice 评价 Joe 的饮食 “That was not healthy.”(那是不健康的),“was” 是 “is” 的过去式,用于表达过去对饮食状态的判断。
描述过去的习惯性动作:常与 “often、usually” 等词连用,如 “He usually walked to school last year.”(去年他通常步行上学),“walked” 是 “walk” 的过去式,体现过去的习惯。
2. 动词过去式变化规则
一般在动词原形末尾加ed,如:look→looked(看)、play→played(玩)、watch→watched(观看)。
以不发音的 e 结尾的动词,加d,如:live→lived(居住)、like→liked(喜欢)、love→loved(喜爱)。
以 “辅音字母 + y” 结尾的动词,变 y 为 i 再加ed,如:study→studied(学习)、carry→carried(携带)。
以重读闭音节结尾,且末尾只有一个辅音字母的动词,双写末尾辅音字母再加ed,如:stop→stopped(停止)、plan→planned(计划)、shop→shopped(购物)。
