2.Let students know that they are going to talk about Adam's and Peter's holidays in this lesson.
Look and Say
Show students several photos of Yulong Mountain and the old town of Lijiang, and then ask them questions.
◆What can you see in these photos?
◆Do you know what places these photos show?
◆Which province are Yulong Mountain and the old town of Lijiang in?
◆Have you ever been to these two places?/What do you think of these two places from the photos?
Cultural Tip:Yulong Mountain is the southernmost snowcapped mountain in the Northern Hemisphere. Its steep and beautiful peaks make it a natural wonder. It attracts thousands of tourists every year. The old town of Lijiang was built in the Song Dynasty. It's one of the largest old towns in southwest China. The old streets, houses and markets there show how people lived in the past.Besides, the local snacks are also tasty.

1.Have students skim the conversation, and then ask them to identify who went to Yunnan during the holiday.
2.Encourage students to summarize what the conversation is about in their own words.

Teaching Reflection
In this lesson,I used lots of photos to introduce Yulong Mountain, the old town of Lijiang and the
steamed chicken soup. Students were really interested in the cultural content of this lesson. Meanwhile,I used questions to connect the conversation with the students' own lives, which made them think more about how to make their holidays meaningful. However,I still noticed some problems. When some students were talking about their own holiday experiences, I found their expressions were quite simple. They couldn't organize the sentences well. In order to offer these students more help,I will provide a word bank for holiday activities and design exercises using
conjunctions to improve the sentence structures.
