Step 1:
Warming-up
“What do you think I like?”
Show several blurry pictures (such as movie posters, music symbols, sports scenes, etc.) and ask students to guess what the teacher likes, leading to the topic of this lesson.
Question: What do you think I like?
Do you like movies? Sports? Music?
Students guess teacher's preferences from blurry images, respond with English words, and practice asking/answering "Do you like...?" questions.

Step 2:
Presentation and Interpretation
1.Listening Input and Comprehension
Play the audio of the conversation between Ryan and Susan. Students listen and mark R (Ryan) and S (Susan) on page 30 of the textbook.
After completion, check the answers and the teacher writes down the key information on the blackboard.
2.Simple Present: Like
Show the grammar table and explain the usage of "like" in different person forms:
I/You/We/They like…
He/She/It likes…
Students listen, mark R/S, check answers in pairs, observe grammar table, repeat examples, and practice substitution.

Step 3:
Practice and Interaction
1.Sentence Practice
Students work in pairs and use "Do you like..." ?” Ask each other about your preferences and record the answers.
Make rounds to provide guidance and correct grammatical errors.
2.Group Activity: Venn Diagram
Each group will be given a Venn diagram. In the middle, write "We both like...". On the two sides, write their respective preferences. After the students exchange ideas, they should fill it in and have a representative report.
Example sentence:
I like computers.
My partner likes books.
We both like movies.
1.Students work in pairs and ask each other questions. They use "Do you like..." ?” Exchange information and record each other's preferences.
2.The group used Venn diagrams to categorize and record their common and individual preferences, and selected representatives to present the results in complete sentences.

Language Expansion
1.Case analysis and deepened understanding
Show more charts of the preferences of characters (such as Carla and John), and guide students to describe in complete sentences:
Carla likes restaurants and books.
John likes sports and computers.
They both like movies and music.
2.Sentence Expansion: Negation and Questioning
The expandable sentence patterns are:
I don’t like…
Do you like…?
Does he like…?
1.Students observe Carla and John's preferences for charts, and describe the characters' preferences in complete sentences.
2.Practice sentence transformation. Change the affirmative sentences into negative sentences and interrogative sentences.

Step 5:
Learn and practice immediately
Design 8 questions related to what was learned in this lesson, including fill-in-the-blanks, multiple-choice, matching, and other exercise types, to allow students to practice immediately.

Sentence structure: Usage of "like" / "likes"
