Their favorite types of music. 15. What is the woman’s opinion about the music created by AI? A. Its music styles are truly unique. B. It’s pleasing and easily remembered. C. AI lacks real human emotions. 17. How does the woman think AI can help musicians? A. By encouraging their creativity. B. By doing some tiring and repetitive work. C. Has a new musical genius emerged without our knowledge? M: Actually, it wasn’t made by a human, but by a machine. Have you heard about this new trend in music, AI generated music. It’s fascinating, but also a bit unnerving. W: Yeah, I’ve heard about it. AI can create music that is surprisingly attractive and easy to remember, but it does come with its pros and cons. M: That’s absolutely right. The convenience of AI composing music is undeniable. It’s quick and efficient and can produce music in various styles, but doesn’t it lack the soul and emotion that human musicians bring to their compositions? W: That’s a valid point. AI lacks the emotional depth and personal experiences that human musicians draw upon. M: But what about originality? It seems AI might just imitate existing styles rather than creating something truly unique. W: That’s true. AI can be somewhat derivative, often based on a database of existing music. On the bright side, it can introduce new combinations that humans might not have thought of. M: What about job displacement in the music industry? Isn’t there a risk that AI might replace human musicians? W: I don’t think so. AI can be a valuable tool for musicians, helping them experiment and enhance their creativity. It’s all about finding the right balance between humans and AI. 18. What is required to learn to play the piano? A. Deep passion. B. High attention. C. Strong muscles. 19. Why do musician do well on intelligence tests? A. They learn effectively. B. They understand theory easily. C. They finish the test individually. 20. What is the disadvantage of playing chess? A. It requires high intelligence. B. It costs a lot of time. C. It lacks cooperation. B 19. A 20. C 【原文】 Learning to play a musical instrument will not only give you a cool hobby, but increase patience and focus as well. It is said that learning to play the piano makes you smarter overall. It is possible because picking up the instrument requires strengths of character. It takes years to master. The ability to sit down put everything else aside and learn deeply can easily be used in other areas of study. That is probably why musicians do better on intelligence tests. But, whether or not learning music makes you smarter, it is obvious that playing an instrument has many positive side effects. You might like art — and this might seem like better hobby, if you prefer physical things over theory. After all, music is heavy in theory. However, did you know that the majority of successful musicians can also paint? The opposite is not true. Chess is another hobby associated with thinking—it’s simple to understand why. But while chess players must train hard to compete to exercise thinking, there is no team aspect. Chess attracts quiet, shy individuals. Music sometimes does too, but for most of time, it requires people break out of their shell and work with others. A Summer may well be the favourite season of classical music lovers, with numerous festivals spanning all genres and composers taking place worldwide. Even booking my piano exam reduced me to a mess of anxiety. I feel permanently scared inside churches, where piano exams are held—no longer admiring their beauty because over the years I have received terrible marks from examiners. Despite being 15—too old, too cool to be frightened—I remember trembling inside the bathroom before my tests. I wished I never had to play in front of others. This time, after booking my Level 8 Royal Conservatory of Music piano exam, I went back to my normal routine. A little practice here; a little practice there. And then it happened. My trusty, 10-year-old electric piano gave out. When I told my father what had happened to my piano, he only glared at me with disappointment, “When I was your age, I learned to be resourceful(善于应变的,足智多谋的).” Hmm. I had a broken piano, an exam coming up in a few months and a father who refused to buy me a new piano because he wanted to teach me a “life lesson”. I finally came up with a decision I’d practice at school. The school had many pianos but only a few in tune. Within a few days of searching, I headed off to a music room at every available opportunity. I loved finding new pianos in hidden corners of the school and spent hours practicing. As my exam drew near, all the music teachers knew to look for me in the piano rooms after school. In anticipation of my assessment, one of my music teachers let me perform for her as a mini practice exam. To my surprise, she was greatly impressed. Music had never been the love of my life but that was changing. When I played, my worries about how others judged me and how I viewed myself merged to reveal who I really am. All my adolescent thoughts made me feel like I was in a cage, but music gave me the key. Within a few months I went from not caring about my playing to feeling actually kind of proud of my work. In my favorite, soundproof music room, I discovered that behind the piano, I could become anyone. Talking to other people never came easy to me, but I was able to express myself through music. I became overjoyed. When the time came to play in front of an examiner, all the anxiety I had about going up on stage dimmed, and all I could think about was the marvelous journey I’d had to get here. Trilling the keys reminded me of the bittersweet music experiences of past years and my happiness nowadays. Many days later, I received my mark—a rarely mentioned “well done”. Now whenever I get caught up in the daily struggle, I remember the hard work that it took to reach my goal. Whenever I feel discouraged, I never forget to look at the gleaming keys of my new upright piano. As my father always says, some lessons are just learned the hard way. 24. What made the author so stressful inside churches these years? A. The religious atmosphere. B. The artistic performance. C. The horrible surroundings. D. Her colorful fantasy. 25. The author changed her attitude towards music mainly because . A. her hard work and determination B. her own understanding of musical value C. her teachers’ constant encouragement D. her family’s enthusiastic support 26. Which of the following indicates the change of the author’s feelings? A. Nervous—disappointed—angry—calm B. Curious—frustrated—hopeful—grateful C. Depressed—satisfied—disappointed—peaceful D. Frightened—indifferent—passionate—proud 27. What might be the best title of this passage? A. An Important Music Test B. A Hard but Enjoyable Life C. My Favorite Piano D. The “Key” to Happiness 【答案】24. B 25. B 26. D 27. 根据第二段“I feel permanently scared inside churches, where piano exams are held — no longer admiring their beauty because over the years I have received terrible marks from examiners.(在举行钢琴考试的教堂里,我永远感到害怕——不再欣赏它们的美丽,因为多年来我从考官那里得到的分数很糟糕)”可知,艺术表演经历使得作者在教堂里感到有压力,故选B项。 25. 根据第七段“All my adolescent thoughts made me feel like I was in a cage, but music gave me the key.(我所有青春期的想法都让我觉得自己被关在笼子里,但音乐给了我钥匙)”以及第八段“In my favorite, soundproof music room, I discovered that behind the piano, I could become anyone. Talking to other people never came easy to me, but I was able to express myself through music. I became overjoyed.(在我最喜欢的隔音音乐室里,我发现在钢琴后面,我可以变成任何人。与人交谈对我来说从来不是件容易的事,但我能够通过音乐来表达自己。我欣喜若狂)”可知,音乐给青春期的作者带来了钥匙,可以通过音乐表达自己,因此可推知,作者对音乐有了与以往不同的理解,认识到音乐给自己带来了价值,以致于对音乐的态度有了改变,故选B项。 26. 推理判断题。根据第二段“Despite being 15—too old, too cool to be frightened — I remember trembling inside the bathroom before my tests.(尽管我已经15岁了——年纪够大了,够酷了,不会害怕——我记得考试前我在浴室里颤抖着)”可知,作者以前在考试前会感到害怕;根据第三段“A little practice here; a little practice there.(这里练习一下;那里练习一下)”可知,作者报名参加考试后,无所谓地练琴;根据第五段“I loved finding new pianos in hidden corners of the school and spent hours practicing.(我喜欢在学校隐蔽的角落里找到新钢琴,并花了几个小时练习)”可知,作者开始努力练琴;根据第八段“Within a few months I went from not caring about my playing to feeling actually kind of proud of my work.(几个月后,我从不关心自己的比赛变成了为自己的演奏感到骄傲)”可知,几个月后,作者为自己的演奏感到骄傲。 最后一段“Now whenever I get caught up in the daily struggle, I remember the hard work that it took to reach my goal. Whenever I feel discouraged, I never forget to look at the gleaming keys of my new upright piano. As my father always says, some lessons are just learned the hard way.(现在,每当我陷入每天的挣扎时,我就会想起为实现目标所付出的努力。 C A new study by Japanese researchers concludes that listening to sad music may actually contribute to positive emotions. Researchers say the findings help to explain why people enjoy listening to sad music. Ai Kawakami and the colleagues from Tokyo University of the Arts and the RIKEN Brain Science Institute asked 44 volunteers, including both musicians and non-specialists, to listen to two pieces of sad music and one piece of happy music. Each participant was required to use a set of keywords to rate both his perception of the music and his own emotional state. The sad pieces of music included Glinka’s La Separation, Blumenfeld’s Etude Sur Mer and Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. The happy music piece was Granados’s Allegro de Concierto or Tonci Huljic’s Croatian Rhapsody. As reported in the open access journal Frontiers in Psychology, sad music aroused contradictory emotions among the participants. “In general, sad music causes sadness in listeners, and sadness is regarded as an unpleasant emotion. If sad music actually arouses only unpleasant emotions, we would not listen to it,” the researchers wrote in the study. “Music that is regarded as a sad piece actually leads to romantic emotions as well as sad emotions. And people, regardless of their musical training, experience these contradictory emotions when listening to the sad music.” added the researchers. Also, unlike sadness in daily life, sadness experienced through art actually makes us feel pleasant, possibly because the latter does not do an actual threat to our safety. This could help people to deal with their negative emotions in daily life, concluded the authors. “Emotions experienced through music have no direct danger or harm unlike the emotions experienced in everyday life. Therefore, if we suffer from unpleasant emotions in daily life, sad music might be helpful to ease negative emotions.” they added. 28. The author in the passage wants to tell ________ . A. sad music may help us deal with negative emotions B. sad music can leave a person in a negative state C. researchers are devoted to studying music D. emotions play a vital role in our daily life 29. After listening to three pieces of music, ________ . A. the participants explained why they listened to music B. the participants described their feelings about the music C. the participants made a detailed summary of the music D. the participants got a lot of help from the happy music 30. According to the passage, to get rid of your depression, you should listen to ________ . A. Croatian Rhapsody B. Allegro de Concierto C. Moonlight Sonata D. The Blue Danube 31. While listening to the sad music, the participants ________ . A. can experience the less cheerful emotions deeply B. should keep themselves as cool as a cucumber C. can develop both kinds of emotions unconsciously D. should tell the difference between the two types of music 【答案】28. A 29. B 30. C 31. C 【语篇导读】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要讲述了听悲伤音乐可能有助于缓解负面情绪。 28. 推理判断题。根据第一段“A new study by Japanese researchers concludes that listening to sad music may actually contribute to positive emotions. Researchers say the findings help to explain why people enjoy listening to sad music.(日本研究人员的一项新研究得出结论,听悲伤的音乐实际上可能有助于产生积极的情绪。研究人员表示,这些发现有助于解释为什么人们喜欢听悲伤的音乐)”以及最后一段“Therefore, if we suffer from unpleasant emotions in daily life, sad music might be helpful to ease negative emotions.(因此,如果我们在日常生活中遭受不愉快的情绪,悲伤的音乐可能有助于缓解负面情绪)”可知,文章主要想告诉我们听悲伤的音乐可能有助于我们处理负面情绪,故选A。 29. 细节理解题。根据第二段“Ai Kawakami and the colleagues from Tokyo University of the Arts and the RIKEN Brain Science Institute asked 44 volunteers, including both musicians and non-specialists, to listen to two pieces of sad music and one piece of happy music. Each participant was required to use a set of keywords to rate both his perception of the music and his own emotional state.(Ai Kawakami和东京艺术大学以及理化学研究所脑科学研究所的同事们邀请了44名志愿者,其中包括音乐家和非专业人士,来聆听两首悲伤的音乐和一首欢快的音乐。每位参与者都被要求使用一组关键词来评价自己对音乐的感知以及自身的情绪状态)”可知,听完三首曲子后,参与者描述了他们对音乐的感受,故选B。 30. 细节理解题。根据第三段中“The sad pieces of music included Glinka’s La Separation, Blumenfeld’s Etude Sur Mer and Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata.(悲伤的曲子包括格林卡的《离别》、布鲁门费尔德的《海上练习曲》和贝多芬的《月光奏鸣曲》)”以及最后一段“Therefore, if we suffer from unpleasant emotions in daily life, sad music might be helpful to ease negative emotions.(因此,如果我们在日常生活中遭受不愉快的情绪,悲伤的音乐可能有助于缓解负面情绪)”可知,为了摆脱抑郁,你应该听悲伤的音乐,如《月光奏鸣曲》,故选C。 31. 细节理解题。根据第五段“‘Music that is regarded as a sad piece actually leads to romantic emotions as well as sad emotions. And people, regardless of their musical training, experience these contradictory emotions when listening to the sad music.’added the researchers.(“被认为是悲伤曲子的音乐实际上既会导致浪漫的情绪,也会导致悲伤的情绪。而且,无论是否受过音乐训练,人们在听悲伤的音乐时都会体验到这些矛盾的情绪。”研究人员补充道)”可知,在听悲伤的音乐时,参与者会不自觉地产生两种情绪,故选C。 D We have more ways to access music than at any time in history and a whole world of unfamiliar styles to explore. The thrill of discovering new songs and new sounds can enrich people of all ages. Except, most of the time, it doesn’t. Our willingness to explore new, unfamiliar music declines with age. Academics have coined the term “open-earedness” to describe this phenomenon. Until around the age of 11, children are generally happy to engage with unfamiliar music. Early adolescence sees a reduction in open-earedness, but is accompanied by an intense increase in interest in music more generally. Open-earedness increases slightly during young adulthood, and then declines as we age. A major study involving more than 250,000 participants confirmed these changing behaviors. It also showed that the significance we give to music after adolescence declines, and the amount of music we listen to reduces from a high point of 20% of our waking time during adolescence, to 13% in adulthood. Researchers have different theories to account for these trends. One explanation for age-based reduction in music consumption simply assumes that responsibility-burdened adults may have less free time at their disposal(自由支配)to explore their musical interests than younger people. Some interpret the observed decline in music engagement in terms of psychosocial maturation. Adolescents use music as an identity marker and engage with it to navigate social circles. Adults have developed personalities and established social groups. As such, drivers to engage with new music are lessened. Some researchers argue that we shouldn’t use a person’s age to predict if their musical taste will stay the same, without first thinking about how we enjoy and use music at different stages of our lives. Teenagers tend to be very aware of what they are listening to. Adults who use music as motivation or accompaniment for activities such as exercise or household chores may be less conscious of the extent to which they actually do listen to new music. 32. What does the term “open-earedness” refer to in the passage? A. The ability to play music. B. The willingness to explore new music. C. The interest in music during adolescence. D. The significance of music in daily life. 33. According to the study, how does the amount of music listened to change as we age? A. It remains consistent throughout life. B. It increases from childhood to adulthood. C. It peaks during adolescence and then decreases. D. It gradually declines from childhood to adulthood. 34. What factor is suggested as one cause for a reduced interest in new music as people age? A. An increase in hearing sharpness. B. Less spare time due to responsibilities. C. An intense decrease in interest in music. D. Changes in personality and social groups. 35. Which of the following is the best title for the passage? A. Music Consumption: A Lifelong Journey. B. Decline of Open-Earedness: Age Affects Music Exploration(open-earedness的下降:年龄影响音乐探索)适合做本文最佳标题,故选D。 第二节(共5小题;每小题2. 5分, 满分12. 5分) 阅读下面短文, 从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 How Music Reshapes the Emotional Lens of Memory Have you ever noticed how a particular song can bring back a flood of memories? Maybe it’s the tune that was playing during your first dance, or the melody of a memorable road trip. ___36___ However, recent research suggests that music may do more than just trigger(触发)memories—it might even change how you remember them. In the research, scientists found that listening to music can change how you feel about what you remember ___37___ The areas of your brain responsible for emotion and memory also become active. The hippocampus(海马体), which is essential for storing memories, works closely with the brain’s emotional center. This is why certain songs are deeply emotional. Research noted that music played during recall might introduce new emotional elements into the original memory. Apparently, when positive music is played, the participants surveyed were more likely to combine new emotional elements with the story that matched the mood of the music. ___38___ Even when the music is no longer playing, musical memory remains. Memories may be more flexible than previously thought and could be influenced by external auditory canal(外耳道)during recall. Such findings provide exciting implications for daily life and for medicine. ___39___ The music you listen to while going about your daily routines might be subtly shaping how you remember those experiences in the future. The same goes for medicine. ___40___ It opens a new path for exploring music-based interventions in treatments for mental health conditions. The next time you put on a favorite playlist, consider how it might be coloring not just your current mood but also your future recollections as well. A. Daily life applications are inviting. B. When listening, more than your ears are engaged. C. So cheerful music boosts memory in a bright perspective. D. The reason why music can evoke emotions remains unknown. E. It suffers when people find those memories fade away with time. F. For people with depression, music works in a more positive light. G. People often think of these musical memories as such fixed shots of the past. 【答案】36. G 37. B 38. C 39. A 40. F 【语篇导读】这是一篇说明文。文章指出音乐不仅能触发记忆,还会改变记忆感受,回忆时音乐会注入新情感元素,此发现对日常生活和医学有启示,也影响未来回忆。 36. 根据下文“However, recent research suggests that music may do more than just trigger(触发)memories—it might even change how you remember them.(然而,最近的研究表明,音乐可能不仅仅是触发记忆——它甚至可能改变你记忆的方式)”可知,新研究表明音乐甚至可以改变记忆方式。由此推测,空处陈述人们对音乐记忆的普遍看法。G项“人们通常认为这些音乐记忆是过去的固定镜头”符合语境,故选G。 37. 根据下文“The areas of your brain responsible for emotion and memory also become active.(大脑中负责情绪和记忆的区域也变得活跃起来)”可知,听音乐时不仅只有耳朵参与了,大脑的部分区域也参与了。B项“听音乐时,参与其中的远不止你的耳朵”符合语境,引出下文,故选B。 38. 根据上文“Apparently, when positive music is played, the participants surveyed were more likely to combine new emotional elements with the story that matched the mood of the music.(显然,当播放积极向上的音乐时,参与调查的受试者更有可能将新的情感元素与符合音乐氛围的故事相结合)”可知,积极向上的音乐促使受试者从积极的角度进行记忆。C项“因此,欢快的音乐能从积极的角度促进记忆”符合语境,是对上文的总结,故选C。 39. 根据上文“Memories may be more flexible than previously thought and could be influenced by external auditory canal(外耳道)during recall. Such findings provide exciting implications for daily life and for medicine.(记忆可能比以往认为的更具灵活性,且在回忆过程中可能会受到外部听觉刺激的影响。这类发现为日常生活及医学领域提供了具有启发意义的启示)”可知,音乐改变记忆方式对日常生活及医疗领域具有启发意义,由此可知,其在日常生活中的应用非常有前景,A项“日常生活中的应用前景十分诱人”符合语境,故选A。 40. 根据上文“The music you listen to while going about your daily routines might be subtly shaping how you remember those experiences in the future. The same goes for medicine.(你在日常活动中听的音乐,可能正潜移默化地影响着未来你对这些经历的记忆方式。 I’ve always admired musicians—how their fingers dance across instruments, creating magic. Between the two options, I personally prefer “Music matters”. To begin with, music is a universal language that transcends cultural barriers, so the column “Music matters” would engage more readers and foster inclusivity. Additionally, music is highly relevant to teenagers, who listen to music daily, whether for relaxation, motivation, or self-expression. The column could feature song recommendations, interviews with student musicians, or discussions about how music impacts mental health — topics that resonate deeply with our peers. Lastly, music can bridge language learning and creativity. Analyzing lyrics or exploring music-related idioms could make English learning more dynamic and fun. Thank you for considering my opinion. I believe it would be a vibrant addition to our newspaper! Yours sincerely, Li Hua 【导语】本篇书面表达是一篇应用文。要求考生给外籍主编Peter写一封邮件,在“Music matters”和“Culture Corner”之间选择一个主题作为学校英文报增设的新栏目,并说明理由。 【详解】 【词汇积累】 首先:to begin with→first of all 与……相关:be relevant to→be related to 影响:impact→influence 观点:opinion→view 【句式拓展】 原 句:Thank you for considering my opinion. 拓展句:I would appreciate it if you can consider my opinion. 【高分句型】 1. To begin with, music is a universal language that transcends cultural barriers, so the column “Music matters” would engage more readers and foster inclusivity.(运用了that引导的定语从句) 2. The column could feature song recommendations, interviews with student musicians, or discussions about how music impacts mental health — topics that resonate deeply with our peers. (运用了how引导的宾语从句,that引导的定语从句) 【选择“Culture Corner”栏目的参考答案】 Dear Peter, I’m Li Hua, a Grade 2 student, and I really like the idea of adding a new column to our English newspaper. Between the two options, I personally prefer “Culture Corner”. To start with, culture is a vivid window to broaden our horizons. This column can introduce diverse cultural elements—like Chinese traditional festivals(such as Mid-Autumn Festival)and Western customs(like Thanksgiving), which can help us understand the connections and differences between Eastern and Western cultures. Besides, it benefits our English learning. Many English expressions are rooted in culture; for example, knowing the background of “a white elephant” makes it easier to grasp its meaning. Last but not least, it can encourage interaction: we students can share our family’s cultural stories, making the newspaper more engaging. Thank you for listening to my suggestion. I’m sure “Culture Corner” will be a popular part of our English newspaper! Yours sincerely, Li Hua 第二节(满分25分) 67.阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。 The dream of a young pianist In a small, quiet town, there lived a young boy named Alex. From a young age, Alex was fascinated by the magic of the piano. The moment he heard the first harmonious melody floating from an old piano in his school auditorium, a dream was born-to become a distinguished pianist. Determined to pursue his passion, Alex begged his parents to let him take piano lessons. His parents, though not wealthy, saw the fire in his eyes and decided to make sacrifices. They bought him a second-hand piano and enrolled him in a local music school. Alex practiced day and night, his fingers flying over the keys, filled with the hope of one day performing on a grand stage. However, life had other plans. One day, while riding his bike to school, Alex was involved in an accident. His right hand was severely injured, and the doctor’s words ruined his dreams: He might never play the piano again. For weeks, Alex sank into a deep depression. He refused to look at the piano and lost all hope. In his dimly lit bedroom, the boy sat aimlessly every day, his head hung low. His hands, once full of promise, now bore the scars of an accident that shattered his dream of becoming a pianist. His music teacher Jack had been worried about him since then and tried to comfort him. Until one day, Jack walked into his room. “I know it hurts,” Jack said softly, “but your love for music is not in your hands alone. It’s in your heart.” Jack shared the stories of some famous composers and musicians who overcame physical limitations and hardships. These words lit a spark in the boy. Alex decided he wouldn’t let this setback define him. With painstaking effort and countless hours of rehabilitation, he slowly regained some movement in his hand. He started practicing the piano again, very slowly at first. Each note was a struggle, but he persevered. 注意:1.续写词数应为150左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Paragraph 1: As time went by, Alex’s skills improved. ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: In a regional competition, Alex presented an outstanding performance for the first time. _______________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 As time went by, Alex’s skills improved. He was happy that his fingers were flexible even if not so good as before. He began to have some confidence again. Now he expected to participate in local piano competitions, facing tough competitors. Despite multiple losses in the early competitions, Alex didn’t give up. With the teacher’s continuous encouragement and help, he analyzed his performances, learned from his mistakes, and kept improving his skills. He began to explore composition, pouring his emotions into melodies. Finally, his hard work paid off. In a regional competition, Alex presented an outstanding performance for the first time. It was so outstanding that it made him win the first place. Nobody would believe this success should come from a person who suffered severe hurt in his right hand. All of the audience was absorbed in his music, and tears of joy streamed down his face as he took the stage to receive the award. This was just the beginning. Alex’s fame gradually spread, and he was invited to perform in more significant concerts. Without his teacher’s encouragement, he wouldn’t have transformed his pain into a new path to success. 【续写线索】技能提高——手指改善——在比赛中成长——在一次区域比赛中大获成功——走上演奏之路——感激老师 【词汇激活】 行为类 ①参加:participate in/get involved in ②面对:face/confront ③沉浸在:be absorbed in/be lost in 情绪类 ①高兴的:happy/delighted ②快乐:joy/pleasure 【高分句型】 1. Yours sincerely, Li Hua 【选择“Culture Corner”栏目的参考答案】 Dear Peter, I’m Li Hua, a Grade 2 student, and I really like the idea of adding a new column to our English newspaper. Yours sincerely, Li Hua 第二节(满分25分) As time went by, Alex’s skills improved. 原创精品资源学科网独家享有版权,侵权必究!1 学科网(北京)股份有限公司2 / 2 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $………………○………………外………………○………………装………………○………………订………………○………………线………………○……………… ………………○………………内………………○………………装………………○………………订………………○………………线………………○……………… 此卷只装订不密封 ………………○………………内………………○………………装………………○………………订………………○………………线………………○……………… ………………○………………外………………○………………装………………○………………订………………○………………线………………○……………… … 学校:______________姓名:_____________班级:_______________考号:______________________ 2025-2026学年高二英语选择性必修第一册单元测试(江苏专用) Unit 2·培优卷 学校:___________班级:___________姓名:___________分数:___________ (时间:120分钟,满分:150分) 注意事项: 1. 1. B Exams never made me break out in a nervous sweat—but this one did. The “Key” to Happiness C A new study by Japanese researchers concludes that listening to sad music may actually contribute to positive emotions. A. can experience the less cheerful emotions deeply B. should keep themselves as cool as a cucumber C. can develop both kinds of emotions unconsciously D. should tell the difference between the two types of music D We have more ways to access music than at any time in history and a whole world of unfamiliar styles to explore. B. Factors Influencing Music Engagement in Adults. C. Adolescents and Music: Identity and Exploration. D. Decline of Open-Earedness: Age Affects Music Exploration. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2. 5分, 满分12. 5分) 阅读下面短文, 从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 How Music Reshapes the Emotional Lens of Memory Have you ever noticed how a particular song can bring back a flood of memories? 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题,每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文, 从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 I’ve always admired musicians—how their fingers dance across instruments, creating magic. _______________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第3页(共8页) 试题 第4页(共8页) 试题 第5页(共8页) 试题 第6页(共8页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $英语听力第一节听下面5段对话。每段对话后有一个小题,从题中所给的ABC3个选项中选出最佳选项。听完每段对话后,你都有10秒钟的时间来回答有关小题和阅读下一小题。每段对话仅读一遍。现在你有5秒钟的时间阅读第一小题的有关内容。The new music concert at town theatre is wonderful. Actually, have you ever considered using his love for music to help him bring songs into his lessons? And he may have more interest. Hm, that's a good idea. Karen, do you know when rock music started? As far as I know, IT started in the nineteen eighties and nineteen hundred fifties with the start of rock and roll. And IT developed during and after the one hundred and sixty in the U. S. The background music on the radio sounds pleasant, hit soft and peaceful. That's true. B Exams never made me break out in a nervous sweat—but this one did. 24. Frightened—indifferent—passionate—proud 27. What might be the best title of this passage? A. An Important Music Test B. A Hard but Enjoyable Life C. My Favorite Piano D. The “Key” to Happiness C A new study by Japanese researchers concludes that listening to sad music may actually contribute to positive emotions. A. can experience the less cheerful emotions deeply B. should keep themselves as cool as a cucumber C. can develop both kinds of emotions unconsciously D. should tell the difference between the two types of music D We have more ways to access music than at any time in history and a whole world of unfamiliar styles to explore. Maybe it’s the tune that was playing during your first dance, or the melody of a memorable road trip. ___36___ However, recent research suggests that music may do more than just trigger(触发)memories—it might even change how you remember them. In the research, scientists found that listening to music can change how you feel about what you remember ___37___ The areas of your brain responsible for emotion and memory also become active. The hippocampus(海马体), which is essential for storing memories, works closely with the brain’s emotional center. This is why certain songs are deeply emotional. _______________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 原创精品资源学科网独家享有版权,侵权必究!1 4 / 12 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
